Property Ratings at Riverwalk Vista
Upon the first move-in date I noticed dead roaches (as if they were treated) on a freshly vacuumed floor. Whoever they utilize to clean these apartments for future residents should be ashamed of themselves, the pool isn't open, the outer building and stairways are filthy beyond control for the money being asked to pay as a resident. Maintenance is clearly overwhelmed and lack knowledge of simple work orders (they have to return for the same simple work orders). The reviews going all the way back 8+ yrs has not changed only the faces in the office, Corporate needs to pay a visit. Only rent here if your almost homeless and need a place to stay.
They do not answer the phone, do not answer emails, if this is how you treat upcoming residents then they need to find new staff!!!
I’m currently a resident living here and I have mold in my unit that has been here since I moved in. When I moved in it wasn’t any hot water. It took a moth to get it fixed. They have been changing maintenance men since I’ve been here. I’m currently trying to find somewhere else to live. Also the office never answer the phone or respond back to emails about the issues.
It’s a very nice neighborhood it’s quiet communication with the neighborhood is very effective you have 24hr maintenance at all times . It’s very well put together and very well organized.
For starters when we first moved we had a squirrel problem, I live on the top floor and apparently by the office staff there are HOLES in the roof OUTSIDE. I’ve put in three separate work orders for the squirrel problem but has anyone ever came?? No. Not to mention before summer hit the squirrels started digging through to the ceiling and now there is a tiny hole in my bedroom ceiling right over the bed. Then another roof issue, whenever it rains the unit to the bathroom ceiling fan leaks rainwater onto the toilet and floor getting everything soaked. I’ve put in multiple work orders for this as well and they’re saying “it’s a roof issue, the roofers are supposed to come fix that” I’ve been waiting on these so called roofers for MONTHS now when i was told months ago that they’d be there that month (December). ITS NOW JULY. Thirdly there is a leak in my daughter bathroom in the ceiling, YES ANOTHER ROOF PROBLEM, and it’s causing the ceiling to mold. Guy just looked at it and said “the roofers have to fix that”. Do these roofers even exist????? Then over the past week now my AC has been out, today is the third day since I’ve let office staff now, they said it was an emergency. I have a small child and it’s SUMMER it’s been 85 of higher in the apartment and yesterday it was 90 all day. We can barely sleep, we can’t relax. I have heard anything from anyone in two days. On top of the roach infestation coming from the dumpster that they barely maintain, this is beyond irritating and it’s sad for a apartment complex to have tenants and not even care about their well being when something THEY PROVIDE breaks….. I’m beyond done and will be moving as soon as my lease is up!!
Property Manager at Riverwalk Vista, Responded To This Review
We are so sorry to hear about your experience. We truly care about our residents and those who visit our community and are always looking for ways to improve. Please send us a private message with your contact information and we would love to reach out and discuss a solution. Again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.
The office staff is useless. They get you by offering great deals and showing a great apartment when in reality the place is a shack. I was moved out of one unit into another and both units were rundown and falling apart. Their maintenance can’t seem to fix anything and the contractors don’t want any part of the chaos that goes on here. Save your money don’t move here
The description of this apartment complex is a joke/lies. I waited 3 months for a toilet to be installed, had no dishwasher for 2 months, my so called designed cabinets have to be taped to keep them shut, the fireplace has never once been cleaned and smoke comes back down into your apartment, the maintenance people do NOT respond to calls on weekends or at night, bugs are everywhere, the manager does NOT live on the property, I live on the lower level where I've had water come in my apartment when it rains and I could go on and on. My boyfriend and I are trying to get out of this place just as soon as we can. You will be sorry if you move here!!!
I have been here almost a year. Things were a little rocky when I first moved in, but the past few months things have changed in a such a positive way. The two new ladies in the office really make sure we are taken care of. I love the floor plane and really feeling like I come to a home and not just an apartment.
This apartment complex because its not A community is full of it LIES LIES LIES LIES
I dnt like stay here the work orders NEVER gets completed there’s always some the MGER IS CRAPPY the units are TERRIBLE there’s ALWAYS a EXCUSE of this and that I’m OVER THIS CRAPPY RIVERWALK
They definitely have show apartments, that look very nice but they apartment you get isn’t anywhere close. Office staff is very rude and not helpful (except for a brand new receptionist, that is very nice). Other receptionist will tell you people are out of the office when they’re not? (By the time I get to my apartment the person I asked for called me and told me she was in the office when I stopped by?) Or will say they will give us a call, and other than that one call when she was actually in the office, have never ONCE returned a call. Every time I walk into the office it’s a problem, even just to get my mail! (I get told my packages aren’t there when I can see the office staff signed for it) Maintainence does nothing. We had SEVERAL maintainence problems in just the few months we have been here and have had to almost harass the office to get anything done! We’re told we don’t have to be home to let maintainence in, then are told EVERYTIME they stopped by and left because no one was home! We currently have a broken dishwasher that has sitting water in it that is how starting to have mold because it’s been over a month and it’s still not fixed, leaking ceiling, broken bathroom fan, a door that won’t close, and several other small maintainence problems that office is aware of and hasn’t fixed. Overall, every experience we’ve had here as been negative other than the very first time we was here to see the apartment and thought we’d found exactly what we were looking for. In the weeks from seeing the apartment and moving in, all the office staff changed, and every month is new disappointments. If I could move out today, I would.
Quiet area. Property is being maintained. It’s does have its opportunities just like any other rental property but by far a decent place to live for price and space. I would recommend to friends and family.
I live in building 6 we all have a routine of how we do things. We respect our neighbors the fact that we are literally on top of each other we are limited of the things we like to do such as play our music but not loud enough to where our neighbors can hear. It's annoying when I can hear your music while trying to watch my TV or trying to sleep.I have to get up early to go to work not trying to create any problems just need this on notice not just this building but all of them. Some people are here temporally others maybe here permanently. Thank you
First day we moved in had bed bugs told the manager mrs.niki I don’t really know how to spell her name but basically we told her and everything that was wrong with the apartment and she told us we either lived with bed bugs broken toilet smug on the walls spiders and more or move. Remind you we jus moved in all this was discovered on the first day and she didn’t help what so ever room 609
Upon moving in we got warnings not to rent on this property, but we decided to take matters into our own hands. Worst mistake I've ever made. The only reason I gave a 2-star rating is because of the amount of space available. For starters, maintenance is HORRIBLE! We had a leak in our ceiling near the sunroom since July that hasn't been repaired yet and its been 3 months, the master bathroom is deemed unusable because there's a plumbing issue with the toilet & shower. We tried calling maintenance at least 5 times with no solution or response. The second bathroom is starting to have issues as well. These issues have been going on for a month now and maintenance hasnt come yet. Needless to say we broke our lease and we're moving
Do not move here , it is not worth what you will be paying . They have roaches, cockroaches , spiders, little black bugs and more . When I first moved in , I didn't had heat for about 3 whole months. Than my AC wasn't working . The apartment had a funny smell when I first moved in. Neighbors was always loud , fussing or fighting. On there website says cable ready but that's false advertising. People stealing out your cars. I repeat DO NOT MOVE OUT HERE. I ended my lease early because I was having to much problems out there.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. I DIDN'T EVEN MOVE IN AND IT WAS HORRIBLE. I recently relocating to S.C. from N.Y. and was in a time crunch time rent a place. Before I had even paid a deposit I was given four different prices for rent. They tell you utilities are included. THEY ARE NOT. Jennifer the leasing specialist has no idea where or how many apartments are available. She was very unpleasant to deal with. The apartment I was going to rent was located upstairs, the stairwell as well as the landing were filthy. I would never want to walk up to a mess each day. The inside was just ok. The closet doors were stuck and the deck screen was torn. The biggest turn off was the leasing process and Jennifer. also from my initial visit I could tell maintenance was not much better. I wouldn't suggest this apartment to my worse enemy.
Infested with centipedes and pawmetto bugs! Was bated in with "we have new management, fixing and upgrading everything." We gave then 1 months notice we were moving in, got here and our unit wasn't completed, they said would be finished within the week. Now it's 4 months later and nothing has been fixed. We couldn't shut off our air when we moved in had to flip the circuit breaker and had no heat available during the record flooding had to go buy space heater and wood for fireplace to keep warm. Maintanence is lazy beyond. We called them about said heat issue and never got a call back. Had minor flooding in one room that ate a tack strip and still has yet to be replaced. Had a water line break in unit above us by contractors and they didn't shut off water or report to office or maintenance had to call emergency line 3 time with no call back. Had to contact manager through a different phone since she stopped responding directly to my number and finally got a call back from maintenance and they still took 45mins to get to our unit when someone is supposed to be on site. There are 4 different colored sidings on the buildings for over a month, and a wall that gave way from the flood that they're still repairing 2 months later. Avoid this place at all costs, they lie to get you in and you won't be happy.
Love my apartment. It is spacious and nice for the side of town. However the staff is terrible fr the front office to the mantaince workers. My moving experience with them were horrible they didn't have my apartment ready on time
