Rochester Hills is a fairly large suburban community roughly forty minutes north of Detroit. The city enjoys an exceptionally low crime rate, and the public schools earn excellent ratings. Large nature preserves like Bloomer Park give residents ample opportunities for sports, hiking, and biking. Oakland University on the west side of town is also full of great venues for folks to get outside and enjoy some fresh air, including Sharf Golf Course and Meadow Brook Amphitheatre. The close proximity to Detroit makes it easy for folks to get into the larger city for work or leisure.

Property Ratings at Roanoke
Beware! management at this location are not truthful! They will tell you anything just to get apartment rented. Maintenance are under qualified and nothing is ever fixed properly. Air or Heat never work properly. If you run the air it freezes up with ice. the heat does not heat entire apartment. Kitchen sink leak the entire lease, with a large whole that was never sealed up. Parking lot has huge pot holes. Management never answer phones and are never in office. Once you put in a notice to leave the extra bills keep coming. Save yourself from this poorly run, misleading, trashy apartment! Go down the street!
Worst place to live and spent your hard earned money on. Management is absolutely horrible. Maintenance is even worse. So is the apartment itself. If you planning to live in this apartment consider living in your or van would be much much better for you, period. You will live like ice cold hell in winter and same as in summer. Heat and cooling system are at worst in entire world. Think twice or even more so before you moving to this apartment. Listen from old resident like me who lived in this hell.
I lived here for less than a year and it was the most depressing thing. When I moved in there were dead roaches all over the inside of drawers and cabinets. Later the roaches came back and were a hassle to deal with. I had mice coming from a hole under my sink. The electric bill was over 100 dollars even when I was never there nor using my electricity very much. Management is never in office at stated hours. I lived in a studio apartment with little to no insulation and old dirty walls. The place was definitely not worth it and you are paying to be in the location of The Village.
Not only are the apartments old and VERY outdated, but they are incredibly overpriced. Management does not care about you nor do they care about the quality of your apartment. There is mold in my laundry room. My ceilings leak and no one will do anything about it. Megan in the office is horribly rude. We moved here out of desperation and I’ve regretted it ever since... do not take the other reviews lightly. THIS PLACE SUCKS! You can find much better places to live in Rochester Hills for the same price and MUCH NICER. They increase the water bill every couple of months also.... ridiculous. Can’t believe I renewed my lease last year like an IDIOT. Didn’t want to go through the process of moving now I am counting down the days to get out!
They don't provide a mailbox key and their office hours and/or "support" are like an afterthought. If you use the washers or dryers, you'll find bugs in your clothes. They slightly increase the water bill each month (about $66 I recall). They state you can "easily" pay your rent online, which usually works, but if the balance states "$0.00" and you pay anyway (as I did), you'll be slapped with an eviction notice in your locked mailbox about how they "didn't receive the payment." If you lawyer up fast, you can get it dropped but still have to pay $100 in court fees for something they could have resolved with a simple phone call. Expect a letter with no return address post-move out showing how they ate your security deposit, despite the efforts you made to clean the place. I thought it was okay because it was close to OU, the Village, and other stores but at the current price, you are wasting your time even considering this place. Don't be like me and waste your money too. It was genuinely an awful experience and I suggest you avoid this complex.
I read all of the reviews beforehand and I was naive to think that it wasn't that bad and that nothing like that would happen to me. Physically, the apartments are dirty and not well kept. There is a lot of mold and bugs, and the rooms are extremely drafty. The prices listed are much cheaper than what the rent actually is and there are always extra fees added on each month. The management is absolutely horrible and completely incompetent in every way. I was only in this apartment for four months and they went through three different property managers. I had to talk to management about my bill EVERY month. Every month I would think that it was finally sorted out just to find out that there was another issue the next month. The office is NEVER open the days and hours that are posted and they are very unreliable. I never received my security deposit back, and after a month of unreturned calls I finally was informed that I owed over $200 in fees, fees that were completely unnecessary and ridiculous. The parking lot in unkept and in need of much work, a light pole was knocked down and never replaced. Overall, I highly recommend that you avoid this apartment at all costs. Don't let the low price on the websites fool you, you will end up paying much more that what is listed, especially with all of the fees that magically appear each month. DO NOT RENT HERE.
Well let's start off right here when we first looked at these apartments they looked great but boy were we fooled: once we moved in it was a disaster mold on cupboards , almost every appliance not working . Leaks on the sinks . It litterly took two weeks before we could move in just for them to do repairs .. But it gets worse when we went to pay the rent the manager adds things on that we never agreed on and charges are all over the place . Bottom line our rent is always at least 200-300$ more then what it's suppose to be . For the past 6 months we have been here my husband has been in the office every single month arguing about how much the rent is jacked up . It's never the same rent were paying . And in all honesty I just can't wait to get out of this place . DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO JUST GIVE AWAY FOR THERE MISTAKES..!! Plus there overpriced
