Koreatown is a vibrant LA neighborhood fille with hidden gems, bars, eateries, and a collision of cultures. As the name suggests, the atmosphere in Koreatown is heavily influenced by Korean culture. The neighborhood is a favorite destination among foodies city-wide for its endless selection of authentic Korean restaurants, but the community has a much more diverse character than that: the broad range of cultural influences is exemplified in landmarks like the synagogue and contemporary art gallery of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple, the Latin fusion cuisine of Roy Choi’s restaurants, and the popular German/Korean/Hawaiian tinged gastropub, Biergarten.
Although the area is a hot spot for LA residents’ day trips, Koreatown is known as one of the best places to live in LA. Most locals rent their homes and enjoy parks, coffee shops, and stores within walking distance of their apartments.

Property Ratings at Roberts K-town Hoover
Every December they like to fire their manager. They like to advertise it’s rent controlled but they take every single payment they can out of you. There’s also no water meter, this means that water they use for sprinklers and washing machines you as a tenant pay again. (Even after paying $2 to do laundry per load.) Not to mention if there’s a water leak congratulations on paying $30 more bucks this month on utilities because they don’t care! The utility company they use to bill is aum-inc that isn’t creditable and has multiple lawsuits against them. They charge $5 convenience fee for paying with card. If you send check, they will Claim it was “late” and charge you $9 late fee. Its funny how they mail your bill and you receive it literally 5 days before it’s due, so of course its always going to be late fee charge or you have to pay a convenience fee. The apartment doesn’t care if you complain, they also give cheaper rental rates to newer residents depending on how they feel. They also consider this a cheaper rental so they really don’t see you as tenants so take that you want to.
First of all, the price is different even if the apartment is the same size. I moved in a year ago, but I'm paying a higher rent than new people. Doesn't do anything about it. Also, the manager complained several times due to the noise between floors, but he just let me know. Just be patient, talk like this and take no action. It just says that the documents are sent, but no actual action is taken. Also, on rainy days, water leaks from the ceiling, and we had to wait about four months to fix it. There were neighbors who were very unfriendly, and neighbors who did not care about other people and made more noise even if they complained about noise between floors.
Lived here for 1.5 years. Overall - the building is not terrible. Pretty quiet if you don't count dogs. Manager is never there and is not responsive. Security-wise not great - our catalytic converter was stolen twice in one year right under the security camera in the garage(never got footage from the manager).
It's a nice apartamentos and its a very Goodyear neighborhood.
