Located in central Connecticut, this neighborhood of homes and rentals sits midway between Hartford to the north and New Haven to the south, a 30-minute commute in both directions via highway or the Amtrak rail system. History buffs love the number of National Register of Historical Places in this town, including the former Meriden Curtain Fixture Company factory, a sprawling red brick building converted into the Charles Street Place Apartments.
Outdoor spaces also hold historical landmark status, such as the world-renowned 1,800-acre Hubbard Park from the designers of New York's Central Park. Meriden provides 24 municipal parks, one of the top 10 public golf courses in Connecticut, and three dedicated trails for hiking, biking, and running.
Residents gather at the award-winning Ted's Restaurant, an area staple for over 50 years and home to the first steamed cheeseburger.

Property Ratings at Robin Hill Apartments
New management is horrendous and extremely unprofessional. Maintenance doesn’t fix anything. You can never get anyone on the phone to fix an issue no one ever answers. No one ever returns calls. Even with new renovations this place is still a dump. It’s extremely overpriced. It’s always dirty and smells. Washer and dryer at the unit are always broken. Management could care less they are just doing a sloppy job to get by. I would not recommend this be a place to live in. You will regret moving in here. This is not a place to have your children.
This place is gross!!! They don’t fix anything I moved into an apt with a broken dishwasher broken doors no locks on my sliding door the stove doesn’t work and the bathroom floor is rotting away it’s been over a month and NOTHING gets fixed, you can hear every move made by everyone in this building and the people here are absolutely terrible there is trash all over the place, the pool isn’t covered and it’s full of trash, this place is repugnant you will regret it oh and also all the doors have the same lock I had a neighbor just pick my lock one day and walk in and the smells here alone could give you a mersa infection
THE SUPERINTENDENT IS NOT THAT BAD. ...He takes care of almost all small projects & repairs within a reasonable time period. Apartments are mediocre too good. At 1400 ft.² per one bedroom, the cost is not bad. There’s virtually no neighborly quarrels or crime. The 3 buildings (22 apartments each) are set upon large grounds; 2 small fields, grass around all buildings & walkways; great for walks, bbq’s, and kids play. All buildings are lined with rows of large pine trees which make for a surprisingly handsome, semi-private, comfortable living area. The mostly clean (but not pristine) environment is great for a small family.
The price is inexpensive for this area. The maintenance around the building is very poor. The “superintendent” is horrible at his job. It’s sad because this could be a nice building if the “rules and regulations” were actually in place. At times the hallways smell, all the time there’s items in the hallway, walkways, and yard that don’t belong. Maintenance is never done in a orderly fashion or timely manner.
The Apartments are nice but they need a new maintenance guy he is laxy and does not get things done in a timely manner and the nee property company that is in new London is the best I sure do hope that they pool in to get a new maintenance man he really needs to go
?? poor maintenance on the apartment went request work area it's nice but it can be better neighbor smoke and don't keep area around clean there is lot of kids it need to have more strick to smoker to keep outside area clean other than that great place to live
The superintendent is a crazy man with a big fuzzy ear and stutter. Nothing ever gets fixed in a timely manner. The prices are decent but the noise cancellation from the ceiling in the bottom apartment to floor in second apartment is not there. On the plus side there are new washers and dryers in the laundry room. The driveway does need a good new paving. Neighbors are decent. Quick drive to route 68 and highway 15 north. Plenty of restaurants and shops on route 5.
