Leafy streets lined with historic homes lie mere blocks away from skyscrapers. In downtown Little Rock, urban energy and a strong community spirit merge effortlessly. Thanks to the Heifer International headquarters here, as well as the Clinton School of Public Service, the atmosphere focuses on building a brighter future.
While Little Rock's downtown region once had a strictly business atmosphere, the neighborhood has flourished into a blend of business and cozy residential life. With the unveiling of the prestigious Clinton Presidential Center in 2004, the downtown area became an international destination. Though this neighborhood may be a metropolitan hub, the streets still retain a distinctive, easy charm.

Property Ratings at Rock Street Loft Apartments
We enjoyed our 6+ years of living at Rock Street Lofts. Management is wonderful to work with and living downtown is great. Each apartment is unique and ours fit us perfectly. If you are looking for a nice place to live, you found it.
Great location in the heart of downtown Little Rock, close to UAMS and ACH, incredible management, and hands down the best maintenance crew I’ve ever experienced. Everything is handled efficiently and quickly and not to mention the staff is absolutely wonderful. It’s a community there and you’ll feel like you’re living in a neighborhood while also enjoying the beautiful industrial aesthetic a loft apartment will bring you. Hands down the best apartment I’ve ever lived in. I was both sad and relieved to say goodbye to the giant windows. They’re so beautiful and the natural light is a dream, but they’re a problem in the winter because they don’t do the best with keeping heat in. Being one paned they also iced over, but all that is to be expected when you’re living in an almost 100-year old building. Do your research to see if a loft is right for you, and if it is, THIS is the place to be.
I have absolutely loved my time in Rock Street Lofts. Location wise you're right in the thick of one of the best parts of downtown. The River Market is about a 2 minute walk away, there's a fully loaded convenience store across the street, Main street is about 4 minutes away, there are countless restaurants you will never need to drive to- so when the weekend comes people are coming to see YOU. Property wise, the rooms are incredible. The building is old in the best of ways, it feels like you are living in preserved history. The brick walls and beautiful ceilings with exposed pipes make decorating hard for anyone to mess up too, and the windows- oh the windows- are incredible. I would honestly take them with me if I could. All units that I've seen have lovely views, but I'd personally recommend snagging a 3rd floor unit if you can. Management wise, Betty is the sweetest. She's helped me out when I've locked myself out, made moving in a breeze, and my dog thinks she hung the moon (he's and excellent judge of character.) Overall, this has been by far my favorite apartment and I'm sad I have to go- but happy to make room for someone else to enjoy! If you're on the fence about living downtown, don't be. Rock Street Lofts would make an incredible home for anyone!
Great views, great location. I walked to work most days! It's a great spot if your looking for a downtown environment with local food and entertainment close by. The apartment is in good conditions with updated appliances and finishes. Once you get to know Mrs. Betty (landlord) she will literally do anything for you! Highly recommend place!
Rock Street Lofts was a great first apartment experience for me. I was a new college graduate moving to a new city and did not know what to expect. The location is perfect. It’s within walking distance to all of the festivities of the RiverMarket but it’s also a central location that allows easy access to anywhere else in Little Rock. I felt incredibly safe and secure at all times. The property manager, Ms. Betty, really goes out of her way for the tenants to make them feel comfortable, included and at home. There are many residents who have lived in the Lofts for years, which really creates a nice feeling for the building. I highly recommend these apartments and will miss them!
I lived here for 2 years and loved my experience! Rock Street Lofts has a great location with access to downtown festivities. I always felt safe and comfortable. The apartments are unique and have a very cool industrial-chic vibe. Even though I was moving to Chicago, it was bitter-sweet leaving!
I lived in the Rock Street lofts throughout my entire law school education (3 years) and it was the best apartment building I have ever lived in. I lived in two different apartments, a one bedroom when I was single and then moved to a two bedroom once I got engaged. The only reason we moved out is because we bought our first house, but even today we still talk about missing the Lofts. We loved our neighbors, everyone there was very friendly and Ms. Betty, the building manager, put together social events for all of the residents regularly that we loved participating in. It made the building feel more like a community, and we always felt welcome and invited. The location is also amazing; we miss being a part of the Little Rock Downtown area as it builds up and more great events come to that area. We walked to great restaurants weekly and were able to watch big city activities like fireworks from the comfort of the buildings rooftop. The building felt safe, we always felt comfortable, and will both always look back positively on the fun filled chapter of our lives that happened at the Rock Street Lofts. Frank & Kelli
Years ago a dream was born that took ten years to mature to reality. For Hillcrest & Heights dwellers living in the River market area is a continuation of community & convenience of restaurants & retail. We love Rock street lofts Industrial look & feel with modern amenities. The cleanliness and quality are greatly appreciated too. Jim & Judy
So happy with our new home! The staff and neighbors are wonderful. Downtown living is the best. I highly recommend!
The property manager has been so accommodating for us and we can't thank her enough! We're so happy to be at Rock St Lofts! We love the historic charm of the building. Our apartment has been updated with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances but still has the cool architectural features of brick walls, wood beams, and vintage windows. The location is great too, right across the street from one of our favorite pubs, Dugan's, and easy walking distance to all that the River Market has to offer like the Farmer's Market on Saturdays in the summer. We also appreciate the on-site, secured parking. I'd definitely recommend living here!!!
After living in the Rock Street Lofts for over a year, I would highly recommend it to anyone. Management is there for each tenant whenever they need something, they stay connected with their tenants to let everyone know of upcoming services or repairs that are being done, and most importantly the Rock Street Lofts does a great job of getting and keeping their tenants involved with one another. Great atmosphere and a fun place to live! Betty was my landlord and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. She is on the ball and makes sure everyone is taken care of like family. We give each other a hug each time we see one another in the hall and makes for a very friendly and secure environment to live comfortably.
I had a 6 month PCS (you read that correctly) and Betty was more than accommodating, despite the one year lease. I know about the SCRA lease termination clause, but this was my 9th move in 6 years, and if you get a landlord who is unfamiliar with the DoD it can create a ton of headaches while you're on the other side of the world. Betty was great, I told her I'd like the most affordable apartment, facing West so I could see the skyline, and she rescheduled me for a different apartment about 3 times before I moved in as better options became available. The other residents were all really friendly, outgoing, and respectful (common areas were never trashed, there weren't any super loud parties, etc) and it was a pretty social community that ranged from young professionals and grad students to retirees and families. Betty also arranged building get togethers for holidays, the Super Bowl, etc. The location was outstanding. It's a couple blocks from the freeway, tons of restaurants, bars, the Library, River Market, River Trail, and Junction Bridge and walking distance to the Lost Forty brewery and Clinton musuem. I was never bored there, that's for sure. It could get noisy if you left your windows open on the weekend, but it was barely audible with the windows closed, and I don't think I heard anything with the windows closed and the blinds down (I do spend a lot of time around prolonged high frequency noise though). A huge benefit to this place is it's dog friendly (including big dogs), which can be hard to find. Since the majority of the flooring is painted concrete I never noticed pet odor anywhere in the building. It was about a 20 minute commute, doorstep to doorstep, to LRAFB. Security is tight, which can be annoying if you're going on a run and don't want to carry your keys/building FOB, but I never noticed crime, so it was necessary. Parking in the gated lot is limited, but there's a lot of free parking all around the building for visitors, especially at night and on weekends. The signs say "2 hour parking" but I had friends crash overnight on weekends pretty regularly with no issues. I requested maintenace a few times and things were always handled the next day.
I may be biased as Rock Street Lofts is the only apartment I've lived in during my short while in Little Rock but I couldn't ask for a better place to have called home. Extremely safe, super convenient (I'm going to miss walking to work), fun common area, pet friendly, great neighbors, cool roof top patio, and so much more! Put Rock St #1 on your list if you're looking in the Downtown/River Market area!
The first time I have ever lived in an apartment in my life. (50 yrs old) It has been the best experience. Easy access to everything. The best part is the community within the building. Watch the Super Bowl, potlucks, Halloween and Christmas parties in the common area with whoever wants to participate. Oh and no-one can gain access into the building unless the tenants let you in. Yes, SAFE! I strongly advise everyone to at least check it out.
I have lived at Rock Street Lofts for over a year. I love the 'loft feeling' with the exposed brick, open ceilings and concrete floors. My apartment is upgraded with the stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops which was a must! The unique lay out of my apartment makes decorating fun. Rock Street Lofts is very pet friendly, my #downtowndog loves living here as much as I do. With 2 dog parks within walking distance, a bike/walking trail, bridges to run and the hills at the library to climb/slide down, my dog and I are always busy exploring on the weekends. Management is great; they keep us in-the-know of what's going on downtown whether it's parades, pub crawls, festivals, etc. Other high points: secured parking, secured entry, open lobby area with seating and tv, rooftop terrace with grills, Hyperleap Internet and much more. I highly recommend the Rock Street Lofts!
I've lived in Rock Street Lofts now for over four years, and absolutely love it! The location in the heart of downtown Little Rock could not be better. The River Market is two blocks away. There are many local restaurants, bars, and pubs located within walking distance. The loft apartments give a very rustic, but modern feel. Several units have been recently upgraded with stainless steel appliances, as well as new countertops, and more are on the way. Hyperleap high-speed internet access points are installed in every unit, and after sign-up, provide some of the fastest internet speeds in the city. I always feel safe living here with a gated parking lot, as well as RFID tag entry into the building. Rock Street Lofts management are always looking for new ways to improve the look and feel of the building, as well as informing tenants of events, gatherings, and the occasional pub-crawl. This is truly one of the best places to live in Little Rock, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! -TD
