The historic Anacostia neighborhood in Washington, DC flaunts its classic character within its businesses and architecture. This residential community consists of Italianate and cottage-style houses along with a few scattered Queen Anne homes and brick-row houses. The heart of the neighborhood sits directly across the Frederick Douglass Bridge.
Anacostia has two excellent museums, a growing art scene and a year-round ice rink, and it attracts residents with the Washington Nationals Stadium and its well-known landmark, the World's Largest Chair. The intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Good Hope Road marks Downtown Anacostia. Located five miles southeast of Washington, this area stands as one of the most famous neighborhoods in the southeast area of the city. The Anacostia Historic District took its place on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Property Ratings at Rockburne Estates
My apartment has drain flies and they won’t do anything about it they expect for me to live uncomfortably in the mess I moved into dirty cabinets filters and blinds shades it took them 2mnths to replace I don’t recommend this property to anyone! Too expensive for the unprofessionalism!!
Let me start by saying Rockburne Est is a hidden gem in southeast DC. Not to mention the location is great. The neighborhood is very quiet and I love my 1 BR apartment at this time. The only 1 minor problem is the bathroom could be a little more updated otherwise I love it. The office staff is nice and friendly. Hope everything remain the same or otherwise I will update my review.
When I called for the first time, the woman who took my call was very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. And I was more impressed when I went over to meet the entire office staff. They are also very helpful and nice. The apartment building is also very clean and neat, and the location is so convenient for all of us, so we deceived to move in here. We love our new apartment!!
units are bigger then the most other places, staff is professional - pretty landscape, feels like you are in a park
The apartments are Beautiful and Spacious. For the most part quiet too. Not many kids, The problem is Management office. They lie, steal ,and harass the wrong people. I paid my rent before due date and still got a LATE NOTICE on my door and was told to "Disregard".......2xs. They are rude and disrespectful, especially the Front Desk Receptionist. BEWARE
I went to this apartment complex and filled an application for 2 bed but it's taking too long for them to give a response and the office is always rude when you to fined out what's going on.
i lived in rockburne estate in Washington dc since i was 12 years old. I am now 25 years old. I must say i loved it. the neighborhood was amazing. I worked there every summer. the staff was always amazing. I vow to have my first apartment with rockburne estate. i bother the staff there every month just so they can remember me. because of finance issues and starting school for my 6 year old. I was not able to move this year. i plan to move next year prayerfully. I love everything they can done with the place. my mom moved out when i turned 18 to a house. she said it was be a great start for me. I would love to win and will praise God each day for this blessing. the rooms are specious for myself and my bust 6 year old. the closet space the rooms and there are plenty of kitchen space for little ol me. being 25 and leaving the nest was always a dream of mine and i cannot wait for the opportunity to allow this blessing to come true i love Rockburne estate in Washington dc
