Property Ratings at Rockcliffe Apartments
Rent went up $300 in one year. The pool, hot tub and weight gym have turned seasonal instead of year round. When the hot tub is in season, it's broken and parts are "coming." They don't enforce any standards and cars have been abandoned in "community" spots for months.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns. While we appreciate all feedback, we are disappointed that your living experience hasn’t met your expectations. We would love to discuss how we can improve your living experience for the better. Please call us at your earliest convenience.
I lived at the rockcliffe for about 10 years, always never had a single late rent payment, and never had any complaints against me; by all definitions, a model tenant. Each year things get worse and worse at the Rockcliffe. The Management team has a strict - 'heads I win, tails you lose' policy, of which they are happy to tell you about if you have any issues. They frequently, arbitrarily, and without notice close facilities; of which they regularly raise rent for. Maintenance can take a long time, and they dont seem to care too much about extremely disruptive tenants. I have always had some form of noisey on a weeknight neighbor, including one immediately next door, that got evicted for non payment after 4 months, and at least 100 noise complaints.... they were kicked for non-payment. The worst has been when I went to leave here recently. They made me pay entire month past a 2 week notice, so I paid for the month I was there, and moving out, AND the entire following month, where the apartment sat for about 45 days without me in it, paying for the unit because of their "you lose" policy. They were happy to inform me that I could return my keys, but I would still be responsible for all the utility charges in until the end of the paid rental period, again, the strict "They win" policy. I paid a professional cleaning company $300 to do my move out cleaning. I took before and after pictures, and the place looked great! Obviously had been lived in, but after 10 years, it needed more than a wipe down. They did wipe everything down though, and did a light shampoo and a lot of vacuuming. I couldn't believe how much better the well over 10 year old carpets looked! ...... but this was not enough for the rockcliffe, which advised me they REQUIRED 12 hours of additional cleaning time, and also are trying to charge me to replace the over decade old, dollar store carpets... All in all, an ADDITIONAL $1,000 they want out of me, after forcing me to pay an additional months rent and all utilities, and hiring a professional cleaning company..... Total cost to move out (not counting the attorney fees I am now having to pay to fight them) $3,100.... Their excuse...... "sorry, it's our policy" Only consider this place if you literally have NO OTHER option. They will screw you over as much as they possibly can, and dont even run the place well.

These homes are excellent and the managers and maintenance crew were all very nice. I had a refrigerator go out so I just went on their app and they replaced it the next day. I had a leak and again, went on the app and they took care of it promptly. This was during quarantine but that did not slow them down. Always very communicative and friendly, I could just shoot them a text message and they’d respond right away. Probably the best complex in Spokane!

I absolutely love living here! I’ve been here for 3 years now and have no plans on leaving any time soon, the beautiful scenery, it’s so nice and quiet and I love how close it’s located to everything I need! I do find the review below mine rather funny in that I knew some of the people involved in the “tree incident” and they’ve seriously blown it way out of proportion. But to each their own, some play the victim when they aren’t even entitled to be one and some just move on with their lives. The staff here is friendly and my work orders get done in a timely manner and what I find to be the best part of the whole complex, its big dog friendly! Any other place I looked told me absolutely no to my dog because he was over 50 lbs, But not Rockcliffe! I’ll also say that in the time I’ve been here they’ve had the same staff working there, and if that doesn’t say something about a company I don’t know what will!
Do you value the health and safety of your family? Probably should look elsewhere. This company is the single most blame shifting organization I've ever had the displeasure of spending money on...and I used to have Comcast. Anyway the crux of the issue is this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how poor our time living here was, but suffice it to say a tree fell on the roof my son sleeps under as well as our neighbor's roof. I'm not here to complain about an event beyond their control, but how they responded afterwards...which was not at all. We had to reach out to them for comment on why the trees had not been properly surveyed and why they continue to place residents and their families at risk by being negligent. As you may notice there are two trees in this photo, one that fell from the neighboring park and one that is well beyond the tree line. Their excuse as to why it's ok to place people in danger is because the park won't let them touch the trees, and won't survey the trees to assess which ones are well rooted and healthy and which ones might snap. Seriously, that's the best excuse they could come up with, "We don't care about the lives of our residents because they're the park's trees, and they say its against the rules. Not our problem". Which I believe violates my rights as a citizen and I would argue the laws written and enforced by the Spokane Housing authority; but wait it gets better! When I bring up the fact that the tree which you can see is within the lawn of the complex (not the park's tree line) has a number of dead branches which are still above my families roof and has nothing to due with park zoning or protections. They said they would have to wait till they could assess the other trees and see if it was worth bringing out a tree trimming service two times that year. Yeah, they already paid for it once, but were to cheap to pay for it again until 4 months later. Meanwhile my wife has a hard time sleeping, I'm doing my best to get us moved, and we refuse to let my son sleep in his room for fear of the same thing happening again. Screw these people and their "your lives aren't worth our time, but we'll take your money" mentality.
Currently living with oldest daughter, her boyfriend, youngest daughter. My youngest daughter and I recently moved back to the area for work. We are all cramped into this small apartment. There is one bathroom, no central heat or a/c and no washer/dryer. My daughter and I would like to find a 2 bedroom place with these amenities.
Great location, great amenities, friendly Staff. Located only a few minutes from downtown, just blocks away from the Perry District and great stores and restaurants. The units are older but clean and well taken care of. The complex is very large and located right next to Lincoln Park which is great for hiking, biking and walking. Best part of the complex is how animal friendly they are, the pet deposit was very reasonable and there are no weight restrictions!
