Property Ratings at Rockingham Village Apartments
If your dream is to live at a dump then this is the place for you. Price is disgraceful everywhere, don't make the mistake comming here

Hi there, we regret to hear that your recent experience was anything less than exceptional. Please contact the office should you have any inquiries and we will be happy to assist you!
Dogs barking everywhere. Dog nails scraping on the floor in the apartment above you. Second hand smoke coming through your windows. Hardest water you will ever encounter. Bed Bug infestations. So many thieves, addicts, alcoholics, etc. Not even close to being worth the rent price. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra time finding somewhere else.

This place was horrible. Whole building smelled like cigarettes and marijuana. Price is way to high for the quality.
Living here was fine so far. Its my first apartment and Im really enjoying it. For the most part its quiet, my neighbors arent loud. Some small things couldve fixed. Elevator is kind of slow, guest parking is kind of iffy. Those dont outweigh the good things Ive experienced here though
Rockingham Village Apartments are pretty much the same as any other apartment living with a few exceptions. The building common areas are kept clean, rarely an smell in the hallways. It used to be a good deal for the money but with the rent increase every year that is becoming less of a fact. The office team are rude and insensitive, Maintenance staff are overwhelmed and have to much to do, more staff needs to be added. I have not had any issues with neighbors except for the fact that the people upstairs are beyond loud, stomping their feet sometimes knocking things off my walls.
I recently moved here and am very pleased with my apartment and all of the updates that were previously done. Cathy was very helpful with getting my application processed.also.
As a happy 13 resident, I highly recommend Rockingham Village Apartments for your future home. Convenience of location, quiet setting, prompt service, and professionalism/courtesy of management team all make Rockingham Village a safe, secure, and peaceful living experience.
Contact was great ! I was always kept up to date on my application. Move in day, everything went extremely smooth. My apartment was very clean ! New rugs, paint, shower, dishwasher, oven and fridge. It's been a little over a month since I moved in and I have no complaints.
my overall experience with Rockingham Village Apartments is EXCELENT...i was very comfortable with the process when i first applied..and now that i have been here just short of a month my experience with my apartment or dealing with staff is a great!!!
So far 3 weeks in, my experience has been a positive one. I have never lived in an apt complex before and was a little nervous on how things would work, but have been pleasantly surprised. I couldn't get the apt I was initially shown, but am making the one I was given work.
This place is TERRIBLE!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!! They have bed bugs all through their buildings and have for years. They also have mice infestations. There are numerous horror stories about this place. STAY AWAY!!!
Beautiful property and extremely convenient location but the best thing about Rockingham village apartments is the people here, they are so friendly and welcoming and that's just the residents the office folk are even nicer. My husband and I are extremely happy with everything so far. Thank you Rockingham village apartments
I have a very nice apartment here & its fairly quiet which I love. Im very happy with my experience overall & the staff are friendly & helpful. Nice place to live for a reasonable price.
My family and I are enjoying our new home! Thank you very much Rockingham Village Apartments!
Affordable apartments, close to the highway so easy for commuting, tenants arent the highest quality but theres not much you can do about that. Management needs work from where I stand.
They will tell you its a great place to live. It is NOT. The hallways stink of animal urine. There is spit in the windows. Your package deliveries will get stolen. They will tell you you can have them go to the office but they are never there during posted office hours. I was told security cameras were going to be put in, never happened. There is an overflow of dog waste around the barrel that just lays along the ground for days into weeks. Cigarette butts everywhere. Right outside the door where you walk into. I had no hot water for the first few months before it was finally fixed and the heat would not shut off. It stayed on as high as it could go for months. It was unbearable living there. Now Im barely tolerating it. This is just a token of what it is like at Rockingham Apartments. Unless you are good with these types of things, I suggest you run. Dont walk.
People are friendly. Overall love my place!! Happy I can have my animal too!! Communication is key!! Thank you for considering me as a tenant.
I have been here going on 2 years and I love it..no problems and if there is one the maintanence crew is right on top of it
I love this place! Everyone is nice here, staff is helpful. Clean up could be better. Very convenient to shopping mall and 12 mins from beach. Animal friendly which i love. And someone is always willing to help you. So far so good. Highly recommend.
I went to Rockingham Village Apartments (formerly known as Cimarron Realty Trust apartments) in desperation of finding a place to live in such short notice. I did do my research beforehand and read the 1-star reviews, but I thought it was mostly exaggeration. Nope! Any review giving this place a 5-star rating is fake! They're trying to make themselves look good to cover up all the bad. Please read the other reviews, because those reviews are from people who have actually experienced living here, and they're clearly telling you to stay away from this place. I was initially given a tour of a furnished two bedroom apartment, and it looked normal. Fast forward later, I signed the lease and was given keys to my unit. I opened the door, and the place was completely trashed. The bathroom door was off the wall, the toilet head was broken, the closet doors were busted, the floors were filthy, the kitchen baseboards were non-existent... I could go on and on. It was one problem after another. The worst part is it took management several months for them to acknowledge any issues at hand. One big issue I had was the ceiling in the bathroom started leaking urine from the upstairs neighbor's toilet. I immediately called up management, and they had a maintenance guy fix the leak, but my ceiling was still completely ruined, of course. They told me they would put me in a hotel when it would come time to have it repaired. No one came. I e-mailed about it and called about it, and they shrugged it off and left me hanging for about 6 months. And I was never put in a hotel during repairs, because all they did was simply touch up the spot with the leak. The walls are paper thin. I was talking on the phone one day at a normal conversational level, and all of a sudden, the neighbor next door comes out and starts screaming and swearing at me for being too loud. The kind of people they let in and live here is absurd. Most of these people are drug addicts. The cops always show up every other night like it's nothing new to them. Also, the buildings are always unlocked. There were a handful of times I saw some random person sleeping under the stairwell. The point is, if you're looking for a place to live, this is not it. I urge you to please read the other reviews. I honestly can go on and on about all the negatives. The only positive thing is the distance between this location and stores/restaurants. But you can do way better than this place. Management does not care about you.
I'm looking for an affordable home to start my family and this place came up. so my girlfriend and I decided to take a look since we were already in the area viewing another property. when I was driving in there is nothing to indicate where anything is. looking around the property not only is it poorly kept but I genuinely felt I might actually get shot or robbed. the whole property is just dark and not welcoming at all. we finally found the leasing office next to the pool. the pool literally looks like a toxic waste dump. the only gem was the leasing office. which is clear they only spend money on their own comfort while tenants are forced to live in squalor going by previous reviews. we finally start talking to woman at the front and she was the meanest nastiest person I've met. extremely condescending rude and confrontational. once she started yelling at me for making slightly too much for their tax credit I just up and walked out. luckily I didn't get a chance to look in the apartments. I highly recommend reading other review. I'm also certain the only good reviews are fake and are purposely posted by staff to attract people. please if you are thinking of moving. Don't.

We set a high standard for ourselves, and we’re so sorry to hear this was not met in your interaction with our business. We always aim to deliver a great experience. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We will use the feedback to make us better and to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We have updated the filtration system, cleaned and had the state of NH inspect the pool.
I’ve not even lived here a year and have had MULTIPLE problems with my unit including 2 times for over 3 weeks where I’ve had to move out and live in a motel only after practically begging them to fix it. Management does not care they are unresponsive and disrespectful. No one abides by the 24 hour entering rule, for example at 4pm today a notice was put on my door that they’d be doing a walk through tomorrow that will not be able to be rescheduled. There’s dog poop everywhere, all the halls smell like cigarette smoke and weed. People are loud there isn’t proper lighting outside. I’ve been approached twice by men in the dark walking my dog alone and when I report it no one cares. I’ve nevsd rented from a company who blanently breaks so many tenant laws and just does not care. Overall it’s an unsafe and unprofessional living place, which is a shame because the apartments themselves are nice.
if you like having things never fixed in a timely manner or fixed correctly and if you like living in dry rotted buildings full of mold, mildew, bugs, and paying far too much for these lovely amenities then you'll love this place. the staff are rude and bully the residents on a regular basis even lying to residents often. the lease itself will screw you over. you are signing a year of your life away, possibly more if you get sick from the sludge that comes out of the pipes from time to time. they cant keep staff and personally i think they are using this place as a tax write off. most of their new improvements made things worse in the building. the kitchen cabinets are small and most dont have adjustable shelfs to fit things like a bottle of ketchup. the water pressure sucks, the led lights have already failed and they still havent come to replace it. the dishwasher works terribly. the carpets in many of the apartments are so old i dont even wanna think about all the scum inside the carpet. this complex is infested with bed bugs and constantly being treated. do yourself a favor and dont rent here.
5 days into may i submitted an application in person. On the 7th i was told i was approved and could move in June 1st. Didn't hear from Rockingham village again until May 21 when they called my work requesting information for my application. So what did they do for 2 weeks if i wasn't approved. From the 21st on they told me the process would take 48 hours and they would call me. I did receive a call from them on may 26 asking if i had paid my application fee and holding deposit...kinda seems like that's something you'd keep on file. i went and gave them a holding deposit and they informed me that it would not be cashed until i moved in and i could get it back if i didn't end up moving in. June 1st came and went. June 9th i moved in elsewhere. On june 28th i found out that they had gone and cashed my holding deposit 2 days earlier. i called to see why and was told they hadn't heard from me so they went ahead and cashed it. Very scummy and unprofessional company. Requires a minimum rating of 1 star...they deserve a -1.
This place is EXTREMELY DISGUSTING!!!!!! Apartment units are DIRTY, due to poor upkeep. Some units don't have working air conditioning units and they have nobody knowledgeable to fix them, maintenance will come in and take a look and that’s about it. If you look outside around the building, you will find missing window screens or ones with holes, so during hot summer days/nights you will find the hallways full with bugs and eventually inside your apartment. You can also find holes inside under the kitchen sink, the drywall has a hole exposing the pluming pipes with awful smell. The kitchen in the units have appliances that are extremely outdated and barely work. Buildings are neglected and extremely out dated, hallways are dark due to poor lighting. The laundry area is somewhat kept clean, although if a dryer or washer breaks down be expected to wait month for a replacement. The quarter machine in the Landry room is not their top priority, it’s never refilled or sometimes broken 5-6mo. Dumpster is constantly over flowing and trash is everywhere. During winters the plow company does a really poor job, they only come swipe the area 2-3 times a storm, they don't salt or sand the walkways so it gets very slippery. Neighborhood is sketchy, be expected to see Seabrook Police presence on the regular due to residents with drug related incidences, domestic violence, robbery, harassment, you name it. This place used to be Cimarron, it’s now been sold and the New Management Company is making some changes, changes that will require most of the current residents to move out. I’ve met people who have lived here for years, 20-30yrs. They were told they had to move out because of the new income restrictions, it’s unfortunate but it’s just “business”. They are putting people’s lives in absolutely horrible situations, but they don’t care. The main office employees are super unhelpful, when asked a question they can never give you a straight answer. The only positive here is, it's 3 miles from the beach, and heat and hot water are included, when it works. Terrible place to live.
I have lived here for years, and I have never been this disgusted with where I live. The buildings are INFESTED with bed bugs, and living here is more like living in a construction zone than a home. They leave notices on your door about the work that will be done, and then do work completely unrelated to that note. The staff don’t care about the residents, and many people who were promised financial help for moving by the date that Chartwell was KICKING them out by, have not received it. Cimarron has never been a 5 star place, but it has been home to many people for years, and it does not feel like home anymore. If you want to sleep past 7am Monday-Saturday, I highly recommend not moving here.
I am so dismayed when a Property has a sign under new professional management, highly professional. Well that is just not true. Eight weeks ago I informed them light in bath room not working properly, and the shower head is leaking. I was told they would right up a work order. Then I receive a notice they were doing an inspection. They did. Next week I I was home a knock on door, I was told they are here to inspect for bugs. They had a dog. Ok, I let them in. They said ok your clean. Then I get another notice they are inspecting for bed bugs. By now I am inspection out. Spoke to Kathy, she knows nothing about inspection or any bed bugs, She sent me to the new manager. He admitted they are bed bugs in buiiding 113 and 114 none in building 115. Was not happy, why so many repeated inspections for bed bugs, unless there is an issue. Then I saw Ann in hallway. I asked her to be honest with me. I asked are there bed bugs in building 115 she said yes. I guess my question is why so many different answers to the same question. They call themselves professional. Think not. I was also told bed bugs don't spread, Wrong they do.
DONT LIVE HERE! I've lived here almost 20 years, 2017 Chartwell had a new tax credit program, single people making over 44k and couples making over 49K have to move and some people have been here for 30 40 years, how does that make sense?! Ceilings are asbestos with lead paint that they are only going to cover up rather than tear down, website provides false information, there is no Fitness room, Rec hall is junk, plowing is horrendous, no emergency lights in stairway ones and hallway extremely dim. They raised our rent $50 I now pay 975 for 2 bedroom but by the end of the year they're going to jack it up to 1200 or more?! I'm hoping to move soon
I have been living in Cimarron apartments for a very long time. The prices are very competitive which is the only reason I stay. If there was a nearby apartment with the same prices/utilities included I would be out in no time. If you are looking for a place without too much of a strict budget, do not even consider Cimarron. The location is great for shopping, etc but you can find that anywhere in Seabrook, NH. If you are on a strict budget and need a cheap rent, beware. I needed maintaince done in my apartment and it took 6 months before anyone even came to LOOK at the problems. That was only because I constantly nagged about it. The maintaince works 5 days a week, a regular 9-5 schedule, but they never find the time to actually maintain anything. All I see them ever do is rake/plow etc. the hallways are pretty nasty too. Never maintained. I have been here a long time and not once has my apartment been asked to be looked at for renovations. I think they know that people will stay because of their affordable prices, but they will never help out. The noise level is pretty awful too, and not from the tenants, but from the WORKERS! You will get the occasional yeller outside, but the maintaince crew is the worst. At 8am I will hear them dropping F bombs. Actually, I can hear it right now outside. I wish to move out immediately once I can.
Hello I would like to share my experience with all whom are inquiring about Cimarron. I have lived here for a few years now. And I do have to say that yes if you are looking for a home that is cheap and conveiniently close to shopping, gas and restraunts and close to the beach and interstate 95 then you found the right place. But in regards to the maintenance and office staff, and overall condition of the buildings. This is unfortunately not so great, Cimarron will maintain and clean/landscape their property for show to attract tenants, make off like it is a nice clean and well managed place. But once you enter a building its a total flip flop. The carpets are only vacuumed and I use that word boldly, at least 1-2 times a year never shampood or cleaned to eliminate odors, so I am saying the corridors smell really bad.The corridor walls could use a new paint job. If your looking to impress any visiting guest you can forget about that. Now I can not say this for all the units on the property but my own. Now in regards to the apartments they issue to you, mine especially needed alot of work. Before I had moved in I did a thourough walkthrough with management and pointed out a few things I wanted replaced, fixed and patched up before I took residency. Upon my move in day I find that none of what I had requested during my walkthrough with Cimarron ever got completed. I had made service requests for maintenance to come by and resolve it, but it never happened. I unfortunately had to be the one to take money out of my own pocket and do it myself just so I could feel comforitable in my own home. Something nobody should have to do if they are renting in a complex with fully capable building maintenance. During the fall and winter seasons maintenance has no problems raking leaves and plowing snow, no problem with keeping up with the land. But still lacks with the upkeep of the buildings. And still to this day as many complaints the leasing office gets from tenants (including alot of my neighbors) about their buildings, nothing ever gets done. This is the real Cimarron Realty Trust. The only reason I am still living their is because I cannot find any other apartments with their rates and utilities included and I am essentially stuck their until something comes up that I can afford.
I HAVE LIVED AT CIMMARON APTS. WITH MY BF WHOM RESIDES THERE AND I THOUGHT IT WAS WELL KEPT UP AS FAR AS MAINTENCE AND ALL AND THE OFFICE STAFF ALWAYS ANSWERS THE PHONES WHEN U CALL THEM..THE COMPLEXES ARE CLEAN AND PRICES ARE REASONABLE AND THE STAFF IS GR88T. ITS A NICE AREA TO LIVE IN.HOPING TO GET A STUDIO THERE SOON WHEN ONE IS AVAILABLE.. I LOVE THE SWIMMING POOL AREA TOO AND THE FRIENDLINESS OF ALL WHOM GO THERE!

Thank you for leaving us such a wonderful review. We are thrilled that you loved your experience; our staff will definitely be happy to read what you wrote. We put customer experience and satisfaction as our priority, and your review reaffirms the hard work we put in every day. So thanks for your kind words.
Was told that there was a two bed available in a month and that we could stay in the suites across the street in the motel until the apartment was available due to the fact that I was in a winter rental and needed to be out in a few days. Went down the day before moving in after talking with the staff for days and was told that they were full when the day before I was told that they only had two or three rented out of the 50+ rooms they had. Put me and my family in an unthinkable spot after telling me for days that it was no problem and not to worry. Staff was rude and was lied to. Never recommending this place to anyone!!

Management is lazy and they don't do a thing, buildings are filthy and poorly managed and in poor condition and the halls wreak of tobacco/weed, there is no upkeep what so ever, essentially the projects in a nut shell. Policies are not enforced such as no pets and no smoking in the building. The apartments that they give you are in moderate condition and are not polished up before you take residency as they tell you they will do. It is although conveniently close to a lot of major stores/outlets and gas stations less than a mile away. Rent is reasonable and the electric bill is always low from my personal experience, which is a plus. This complex would be better suited for more of a young bachelor/batchelorette in college than for a family.
