Property Ratings at Rodgers Forge
I have LOVED this apt! Love the digital amenities and bay window. The layout makes it seem bigger. Maintenance responds right away. The only negative is that the leasing team, while professional, sometimes seems inexperienced. Virgil, the new leasing team member, is professional, accommodating, prompt and friendly - thankful for him!

I have been a resident here for 2+ years now and recently started having flooding issues in my basement apartment unit every time it rains. I've been very displeased at the lack of communication between maintenance workers and management in getting this issue fixed. I would not recommend living here if you are looking for timely service on maintenance issues.

Do not live here. I assure you, it will be one of the larger mistakes you make in your lifetime. Having a safe, functioning, peaceful place to live is too important. Look elsewhere. Anywhere but here.
I came in for a self guided tour today ( 06/01/2022 ) It was pretty easy and self explanatory. It was quick too! Shantell (Lace) (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was working in the office and she was very sweet and so welcoming! She explained the process to me and told me how I could get extra help during the tour. The property looked nice and was pretty quiet. The inside looked up to date, although I can tell whoever is working on the apartment has been leaving their trash in there, and the model I got to tour didn’t have all the appliances in them. It was missing a fridge and a microwave. All in all, the place looks nice and the management seemed helpful. Looking further into them before I decide to move in, but im leaning towards this property.
The management told me if I want to move out earlier I can go and now she is telling me I have to pay even more than my contract time since she likes this way.

Hello, I apologize for any miscommunication or misunderstanding you experienced around terminating your lease early. Our lease contract states that if you move out prior to the end of the lease term, you will still be liable for the entire lease contract term, with the exception of specific circumstances and applicable laws. It is our goal to be transparent with all potential and current residents about this written policy and we're sincerely sorry for the confusion. Please feel free to reach out to us at WeCare@udr.com if you have any further questions or concerns and we will be happy to assist you. Kind regards, Rachel C.
on 2/22/21. Snow day. I have called in the morning and made appointment at 12:30 pm to view the apt. when I arrived on time no one were there and I saw sign saying test here to 410 number to receive instruction which I did.I received a text with self tour instruction to check in which I did followed the link to check in. then nothing happened. I had to leave then 30 minutes later I received a text with the code to enter the office. I have already left and cold not come back. no respect to people time especially in the snow day. why schedule appointment if no one will be there nor the instruction will be sent on time not 30 minutes later. That is very bad impression. I'll not move in here.
Run! Look elsewhere! This UDR office staff is: rude, apathetic and ignorant. Once you sign that lease, they will stop pretending to care about you at all. They promise to call you back but never do. Do what I should have and rent elsewhere. There are luxury communities with amenities included in this area for the same price.

The insides are great and the office is nice but there is a rat infestation outside multiple apartment buildings!!! The rats built a nest inside my car and caused thousands of dollars in damages. For months, they did nothing to address the infestation. They have plans in the New Year to be more aggressive treating them, but as of this moment, it is absolutely ridiculous. If you plan to rent, ask them about the rats first and see what they have to say. Oh, and side note: did you notice the pet fee is $55??
I moved into this apartment complex during August (2019). I really do love how the apartment is set it up, there is enough space for everything. I live with one other person and we have our bathrooms which is what I really love. The kitchen counter tops and bathroom counter tops are updated and really nice. The first issue I came across was my car being wrongfully towed. I am paying for a specific parking space and there was construction happening which blocked off my space so I parked within that same lot, which accoring to the $40 I am paying a month, I am allowed to do so. I went back and forth for about a week about them wrongfully towing my car, BUT the leasing office was more than helpful with backing me and I was refunded the $250 I had paid to get my car out. The second issue was seeing a mouse in the apartment. The bad thing is that this is not seen as a maintenance emergency so it has to wait until pest control can come out. When I first moved in, I saw this black fuzzy stuff in the corner of the walla and I didn’t know what it was. I had maintenance come and clean it out now knowing what it was. Fast forward a couple months later until I saw the mouse. It took about 3-4 days to trap the mouse on out own, but maintenance did come out to block any small holes in the apartment. They filled the holes with the same black fuzzy stuff I had them removed when I first moved in. So knowing now that that was there to keep mice out, I would not have had it removed. I do think maintenance should have let me know what it was prior to removal, but after that one incidence I did not see another. I do not fault the apartment for the mouse because you cannot control an outside environment only the inside which is why the hole were originally plugged. One last thing that gave me a startle was a spricket that I saw in my bedroom. I had never seen one before, but I was told by friends that they are sometimes seen in the basement area during the fall/winter. So once I knew that, I just had pest control come out in order to prevent me from seeing anymore. Since then I have not seen anymore. All in all, Rodgers Forge has good customer service and are on top of their maintenance. You don’t have to wait long for any issues to be resolved. I would definitely recommend looking into this apartment and not letting bad reviews scare you away. I definitely believe after people have a minor inconvenience they allow it to cloud their judgement as a whole.
Do not move in here. UDR and the leasing office only cares about collecting your money. Prepare to have maintenance enter your apartment unannounced. Also prepare to be inconvenienced and pay for services you cannot use. Numerous deaths and crimes have occurred in property all with silence from UDR and onsite staff. Stay away.
As long as UDR is running the property look elsewhere. Great neighborhood, but horrible management company.

Hello, thank you for your review. I'm glad you love the community, but I'm sad to see we've been disappointing. Feel free to contact me with additional details as we appreciate your feedback. Best regards, Jody Conley 720-348-7620 WeCare@udr.com
Rent is completely overpriced for the amount of amenities here. The location does not make up for it tbh. The residents are nice, it is a nice place to have a dog since there is a dog park. We have been here for 2 months and a total of 4 things have already broken in that time. The apartment looks nice but the quality is terrible. The management is absolute trash along with maintenance. We had a very serious incident where our safety, as well as the other tenants in the building lives were put at risk and the management didn't even reach out to contact us about it. More on maintenance, you choose a selection whether or not they are able to come in without permission. Even if you select no they still do. This is really annoying to me, because I didn't know who was coming in my apartment in the morning since they didn't even identify themselves as maintenance. The "maintenance manager" seems completely incompetent and careless of his job. We have only been in our lease for 2 months and eagerly waiting for the end. I read a few bad reviews before renting and am now wishing I would have taken their advice.
The management is the worst management I have ever incountered unpleasant, not helpful, and blames the resident for the offices mistakes. If you want to live always nervous and fearful of management go ahead and live here if not move elsewhere find a more professional and helpful management. Bonus the maintenance was always fast and helpful when there were problems.
Have not slept since moving in due to Towson University students partying all the time. I constantly have to get up and go to work after one of their late weekday parties with friends. Management refuses to to action. I am constantly dragging at work. One of the worst years of my life.
Living here is like living in a Frat House. Students close out bars and then head home with friends at 2:30 -5:00 a.m. The hallways reek of pot or dirty cat litter boxes which they leave out. Their dogs howl to be let out while they are out partying. Mice in apartments and appliances breaking down. Management totally unresponsive. Their only response being that you can pay them almost $3,00 to break your lease early. Stay away from this apartment complex!!
I've been living here for about a year now and so far it hasn't been too bad. The apartment itself is nice - when I moved in it was clean and spacious. The 1 bedrooms aren't too big but are enough for one person. The issues I have are the floors, they are hardwood but one section of my unit is a little warped and uneven, but I just set things up around that so it wouldn't be an issue. Also, living on the first floor you can hear your upstairs neighbors stomping around. Now, this complex does have a rule that 80% of the floors need to be covered by rugs, as stated in my lease, (I think to prevent the loudness from upstairs neighbors and to protect the floors) but It's never been inspected/enforced. Luckily, I am able to tune things like that out, but if you are sensitive to that, definitely go somewhere else or get a second floor apartment. Another issue I have is parking. You get one parking tag per household (at least I think you should) and if you don't have a tag you can park on the street (for friends or family, or lack of parking). If you work a 9-5 job, you are pretty much guaranteed a parking space in the lot. If your hours are unconventional, you may not find a spot on the lot and sometimes you may not even get one on your street. Otherwise, the environment here is beautiful, quiet, and everyone is very nice. If you have a dog this is a good place to live; it's very dog friendly, there is a dog park nearby as well. I haven't had to deal with management or maintenance for any reason yet, so I can't say much about that. As for the other reviews talking about rent increase and high BGE bills - my rent maybe went up about 20$ after a year and I have not had astronomically high BGE bills. The windows in the living room offer a nice breeze in the summer and if you just bundle up and conserve in the winter, it's not crazy. There's no pool or gym here, they may be working on getting those, but as of now there is nothing. But it's very close to Towson, so you have a lot of things to do in the area. Also, the grocery story is around 7 minutes away, which is also a bonus.
Although the neighbor is delightful! The apartments are horrible!!! The noise that you hear is enough to put you in a straight jacket! They are over priced and under kept. The new management in less than subpar. Also, your BGE bill will cost half your rent. You will know every move your neighbor is making from heAring them use the bathroom, use the phone and every footstep they take! I mean every!! You can even hear your neighbors phone ring on vibrate. The "improvements" that Bridge management have attempted are ridiculous my front door has been of the hinge for at least a month. There are no garbage disposal that they are trying to brand these as LUXARY is the funniest thing I have heard in a long time. Renter beware!!!!!!!
Such a gorgeous neighborhood! No more than a 20 min drive to any campus located in Baltimore. This is a neighborhood where there won't be raging parties, just a peaceful and safe environment to come home to. Close by to grocery stores, the mall, basically anything you may need. Incredibly easy to commute into the city from. Plus it's animal friendly! Can't get much better than that.
My boyfriend and I live in a two bedroom apartment in Rodgers Forge. The neighborhood is great, everyone is very friendly, and it's a great place to live if you have a dog. The apartments are located in a really good area, lots of great places to eat and shop. It is also really close to downtown. The apartment itself is very spacious and the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated and look brand new. My only issue is that they keep raising the rent. It is getting to the point that it is becoming too expensive to live here anymore.
Perfect location for Towson University students. These apartments have two shuttle stops to the university as well as a bus stop that runs throughout the city. Safe location too, and family neighborhood composed of families as well as college students. Even though the rent is a little high, everything that is included with the apartment is worth it.
Rodgers Forge apartments is a quiet neighborhood in north Baltimore, practically Towson. It has a small elementary school within walking distance, and Towson University is 3 minutes away by car. There are a lot of options available for floor plans. I have a 2bed 2 bad apartment. There is hardwood floors throughout except in the kitchen and bathrooms. They have a 80% carpet rule, however, meaning 80% of the floors in your apartment must have an accent rug on it. So you must bring rugs. You will appreciate this rule, however, because it limits the amount of noise from neighbors. Although Rodgers Forge does not have a club house, it has a dog park, shuttle service to Towson U, and two access points to the MTA buses in the area. It is close to Giant, Subway, GNC, Chipotle, Panera and Starbucks. There is a wine store and a 7-11 just a mile away. The parking is free on the street and parking pass in the lots. Garbage is included in the rent and there are dumpsters outside in the parking lots. The only available cable provider is Xfitity (average $130 a month) and BGE is the gas and electricity provider (average $140 a month). Overall, this is an awesome apartment complex and you should really consider it if you are moving to the Towson/Baltimore area.
I love these apartments, they feel like you are in your own private house. Very quiet and no disturbances at all. The price is the best for apartments in the area. Large neighborhood for walking your dog or running. Very safe and close to downtown and Towson. The grounds are kept up very well all the time. The apartments are big and have nice storage spaces.
The living environments are quiet, and convenient. It is not far from Towson for shopping. but sometimes noise comes from 2nd floor because of wood carpet.
Great location close to highways with easy access to Towson and downtown Baltimore. Overpriced apartment for a complex with zero amenities - no patio or balcony, no pool, no gym. Although renovated, the buildings are old and extremely drafty. Expect astronomically high BGE bills unless you turn heat/AC way down. Central AC sounds like a jet plane is taking off whenever it cycles on. Nice original hardwood floors in the apartments. Unreasonably high yearly rent increases of at least $50/year even for model tenants with 100% on-time rent payment record. Property management staff who, although responsive to calls and emails, will placate residents with words but ultimately fail to act. Extremely rude, unhelpful maintenance staff who will act as though it is supremely annoying that you dared to submit a maintenance request and speak disrespectfully to you in your own place of residence. Dog-friendly complex which means you will hear your neighbors' dogs bark incessantly through somewhat thin walls and floors. Due to its proximity to Towson and Loyola universities, the complex attracts a fair amount of college students, which can be an issue when you are a working professional and their weekends start on Wednesday nights.
