Established in 1942 by the United States Government, Oak Ridge was formed to be the site of the Manhattan Project—the secret World War II program that developed the atomic bomb—and the home base for the tens of thousands who worked on the project, along with their families. Oak Ridge, sometimes referred to as “The Secret City” and “The Atomic City,” became an independent city in 1959. Oak Ridge honors its past with the Manhattan Project National Historical Park, the American Museum of Science and Energy, and the annual Secret City Festival held each June.
Located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, Oak Ridge offers residents plenty of options for outdoor recreation. The 173-mile-long Melton Hill Lake is a popular destination for rowing, boating, and fishing. Oak Ridge’s 12 scenic greenways and 16 beautiful parks offer ample space for a broad range of land-based activities. Quick access to I-40, I-75, and the Oak Ridge Turnpike connects the city to nearby Knoxville and beyond.

Property Ratings at Rolling Hills
My apartment was crumbling away from Mold, water damage and more. They told me they couldn't fix it with me there.. two months later the mold was causing asthma episodes. I told them and then they refuse to make repairs with me present in the unit.
This place is covered in mold. I had to leave early due to frequent asthmatic episodes with my fiance. My wall was crumbling away with mold and water damage but they painted over it and said that's all they could do. I requested multiple things to be fixed but two months later .. practically nothing was done. This place is UNSAFE and UNLIVABLE
I have the health department coming out soon. City has gave them two violations. I've been promised things to be fixed but that's just empty promises. Roaches, ants, walls and ceiling falling apart, mold mold and mold. Please listen to these reviews. I wouldn't be writing this if I wasn't trying to save you
Water seeping down bedroom and kitchen walls during heavy rains...bubbling up the plaster. Spider cricket infestations, probably from a basement that is filled with decades of junk and garbage piled to the ceiling. Smells like a moldy basement. Worse place I've ever lived.
They are multiple reasons you should consider black mold all over the windows, some part of carpets we felt something sharp steel and when drops of paints on bathroom floor we difficult to remove, sudden loud sound from AC when it starts and sometime in middle out of no where, trash can location almost a mile far from the apartment where we lived, lots bugs and ants, no fan and light over electric stove, and worst things happened with us is after informing them that one person will come and pick our boxes please don't throw away after we gave them the keys and they still had no courtesy to inform us before throwing I lost 1000 dollar worth of items
The apartment has lots of space and good location in oak ridge. Won't let you see your unit until you've paid and signed lease. We went to see the new apartment my fiancee started having allergy attacks everytime we were there. I checked the carpet and it was full of dog hair(which she's allergic to) from previous tenant. Leasing office wouldn't call us back about it for a week and then shrugged it off saying the last tenants never claimed pets saying it's our problem now, forcing us to pay out of pocket for steam cleaning service even though they charge a 500 dollar non-refundable pet deposit. They also have a large lease agreement that says you can't say anything that harms the character of the property management.
The rolling hills apartments started out seemingly nice... soon after moving in, there were roaches crawling around everywhere, police often in the parking lot, weird charges on my bills, and soon they stopped fixing things that went wrong but would say they fixed stuff. I feel trapped here because of all the additional fees they charge for moving out. I would not recommend this place to anyone that I cared for. Do not do it!!
The apartments are nice and well maintained for an older complex.
This is a great place, beautiful and clean apartments.
It is spacious for a two bed room. Neighbors at quiet.
Patios and storage units are just some of the great features!
[Rolling Hills apartments are] really comfortable to live, good choice
Our view is amazing, the screened in porch is our favorite room! The spacious room give you plenty of options to live
It's a great starter place or a place for a new family! I love the patio and the closets are amazing!
