A large subdivision with mountain views and a golf course, Los Serranos provides a beautiful location in Chino Hills. Bordered by the Chino Valley Freeway on its east side, commuting from the neighborhood is easy. While it is primarily residential, there's ample shopping in the northwest corner of the neighborhood, near the intersection of Pipeline Avenue and Chino Hills Parkway. Here, you'll find restaurants, banks, grocery stores, specialty shops, and other businesses.
The Los Serranos Country Club covers much of the neighborhood, offering two 18-hole golf courses, a large lake, a clubhouse, and a driving range. For those who prefer hiking to golfing, the Chino Hills State Park is directly south of the neighborhood and provides ample hiking, equestrian, and mountain biking trails. The park covers 14,102 acres and includes an outdoor amphitheater, campgrounds, picnic areas, and an exhibit hall.

Property Ratings at Rolling Ridge Apartments
I lived in this apartment from 2024-2025 and there were a lot of great things to appreciate from it, with some inconveniences that can either make or break this place for you. Management is on site, so every time I needed something fixed it was resolved within a week or less. At the start of your lease, you fill out a checklist of all the things wrong/need adjusted when you first move in. This is important to make note of because it ensures you get your deposit back and document if something is already broken. Maybe my apartment was great, but I had no issues at all with the place itself. There were no bugs in my apartment, save for the occasional spider or pincher bug, but there is a lot of greenery and trees in this complex. I loved the 24/7 laundromat which synced to an app, and also had a camera inside the place. There were plenty washers and dryers(be mindful of busy Sundays). I never had problems with neighbors, and everyone keeps to themselves. The complex was also clean, and I NEVER saw strange/homeless people in the place - even with it being a non-gated area. This place is walking distance to a market plaza, and 5 minutes from the mall, schools, parks, Costco, Starbucks, Harkins, the freeway, and other places in the heart of Chino Hills. The pool is generally available, but families are pretty polite and mindful of one another. I’ve also never had issues with my packages being stolen (and I lived on the bottom floor) and the mailbox is always taken care of. Some negatives that ruined the experience was mainly parking. They are strict about towing cars if they don’t have a sticker and parking is a free for all scramble, with very tight parking. If you can’t find parking, you have to park across the street. Cars have gotten broken into, and my roommate had their car window smashed... Something also highly upsetting is when they trim the pine trees in the complex, the sap drips ALL OVER your car. I still have sap on my car, and it’s difficult to keep it off during these trimming periods. Other minor bothers is that the laundromat gets dirty fast, and the machines will get busted, yet they keep increasing the price like every 4 months to wash/dry. As far as apartment bothers, I didn’t like how they just paint over the inside of the tub, and it began to chip over a few months. Little lazy things like that. Overall, a decent place that can truly be a fabulous home if you really avoid the parking issue and be aware of other minor troubles.
I almost chose to live here and I sure am glad I ended not doing so. I applied for a unit that I was interested in. Once I got approved, property management requested a deposit. This is normal, EXCEPT, we were NOT provided lease terms, AND we were not provided refundability terms for the money requested. Once we finally got the lease terms 10 days AFTER they took the money, I realized the terms were not to my liking. I inquired about potentially changing some details, which they declined. That's fine. However, they then said the money is not refundable. That is unacceptable. This is poor business. This is not how to treat people.
Prepare to have your cars broken into and catalytic converter stolen. The only free space to park is across the street ant there is no way to protect your belongings. Managements solution for this was to rent out all safe parking spots within the complex for a montly fee on top of rent that is constantly rising. The laundry machines are constantly breaking down and the price is constantly rising We have had issues with maintenance and RATS and management drops all the responsibility on one hardworking man who is expected to fix all the problems on his own The owners are greedily taking advantage of its occupants with new ways to squeeze as much money out of them as possible
I have lived here for a number of years and I would stongly recommend people not to move here. The managment is slow to respond to problems and can be downright condescending in their responses. There is often plumbing and mold problems in the units and we have had pest issues for years. The units are extremely dated, parking is horrid, and the walls are paper thin. The rent is kinda cheap....given the area, but if you have any other option go elsewhere.
During my arrival at the Rolling Ridge Apartments I was greeted by Bryan. He was extremely welcoming and transparent about the currently renting situation. We were able to put in an application for a unit and he contacted us within the same day notifying us that we were approved. The whole process has been effortless and easy thanks to the staff.
I drove to these apartments last week on a Saturday around 11am and it said it was closed to the public which is understandable since most people are working from home now. I have been calling and calling since last week and no one ever answers or calls back. I have also emailed Bryan who is handling leasing matters according to the paper taped on their door, and still no response. It is very unfortunate that this is the way their leasing is handled. I can only imagine how much worse it is as a tenant with requests. Good luck to anyone trying to reach them.
