Nestled at the foothills of Blue Ridge Mountains, about halfway between Atlanta and Charlotte along I-85, Greenville offers big-city excitement coupled with small-town simplicity. A burgeoning food scene and exceptional amenities plus a hospitable, close-knit community and easy access to nature account for this juxtaposition.
Greenville is teeming with options for modern adventures. Renting in Greenville affords you the opportunity to bike the expansive Swamp Rabbit Trail, catch a baseball game at Fluor Field, take in stunning views on the Liberty Bridge at Falls Park on the Reedy, watch a play at the Peace Center, meet the animals at Greenville Zoo, and purchase your next gift at Haywood Mall. You can also attend Artisphere, a three-day outdoor event which draws acclaimed international artists to Greenville every year.

Property Ratings at Roper Mountain Woods Apartments
I just moved across the country from the west coast. I had a short amount of time to get an apartment, because I started a job within a week and a half of moving. I viewed 8 apartments before choosing Roper Mountain Woods. Aim'ee was the one who took me through the available units, and I found one that I really liked. She has been wonderful throughout this whole process. I really like the community here so far, nice neighbors, plenty of parking, and my unit is spacious for the price. If you like walking there is a larger lake within walking distance (and a smaller one on the property).

Welcome to the community, Michelle! We are pleased to hear Aimee helped you find a home in our community and that she provided you with the five-star customer service we strive to give. We hope you continue to enjoy living in our community. Our team is only a phone call or a quick trip to the office away if we can be of assistance!
They’re charging full rent but neither pool has been working for over a year now. It took 5 months to get my dishwasher fixed after it fell out of the cabinet. Somehow other work orders were filled, but that one kept getting marked as completed when it wasn’t. After BBB complaints and dozens of emails and phone calls, they finally said the reason it hadn’t been fixed was they didn’t have a key. They also charged me for renters insurance for 9 months even though I had renters insurance and was required to show proof before moving in. After another BBB complaint, that did get credited back quickly.

Our team works hard to create five-star homes for all our residents, so seeing your negative perception of our community is disappointing. Our amenities are not included in our rent price. Our goal is always to provide maintenance services promptly. All resident requests are addressed in the order they are received with priority given to more urgent repairs. That said, if your request has been pending for longer than expected, you can always contact us directly to get more information about the status. At your earliest convenience, please contact the office so we may have the opportunity to discuss your concerns in more detail.
We just finished a 10-month lease. The location is great and we liked that the unit was updated, including new appliances, before we moved in. We enjoyed our friendly neighbors. However, it is very poorly managed. There was no condition report for us to fill out when we moved in. The staff told us to email with any move-in-related maintenance needs and they would be taken care of. After a month of repeated calls, they finally fixed one of the five items, and the other four were never fixed. The one item they did fix was the brand-new microwave that was unusable. It was installed in such a way that you couldn't open the door. The team that came to fix it never let us know that they would be entering the apartment, and they came while we were not home. They left greasy handprints all over the walls and left construction debris everywhere. A fire destroyed the mailboxes for half the complex, and the mailboxes were never replaced in the ten months we lived there. The trash compactor for half the complex broke about six months ago. The compactor's dumpster remained full of trash for about two months. When we left the compactor was still not fixed. One of the two pools was closed when we arrived, because of COVID. They finally opened it this past Spring. In June management closed the pool "temporarily" because of trash being in the pool and pool area. However, the pool never reopened. The trash that was such a big issue was still in the trash cans around the pool when we left in September. Maintenance items would be started and then left unfinished for months, which made the entire complex look run down. The stairwell of one building was boarded up for over a month, and a water shutoff in front of another was dug up and left open for months. When we moved out the office worker made two errors on our paperwork. They entered our move-out date 60 days too early and they miscalculated our prorated rent, potentially charging us more than twice what we owed. The complex has promise based on the units themselves and the location, but without adequate management, it will remain subpar.
Maintenance won’t respond to requests. Office staff is rude. No mailboxes. Trash dumpsters sitting in parking lot complete with rats.

We are extremely sorry to hear about this and sorry to disappoint a valued resident. Please reach out to us at (864) 297-9919 as we want to hear your concerns and address them in the most suitable way. We look forward to hearing from you.
Management is absolutely terrible! They never answer their phones or call you back. They also don’t answer emails. Everyone here smokes weed and management does nothing about it!!!! If you have a family and are looking at renting from here DONT!!!! The walls are super thin and I can hear very clearly my neighbor! The pools and club house have been closed for three years now yet our rent keeps going up! People who are just moving in are getting new appliances but the ones who have been living here for years are stuck with the older appliances. Do not move here!!!!

Thank you for reaching out. We regret to hear that you feel this way. Please contact the office to discuss these concerns at your earliest convenience. We want to address them as quickly as possible.
RUN AWAY! Please do not do this to yourself. The office staff has one face when you are a perspective resident and a whole other ugly face when you are stuck there as a resident. They will forward you to Voicemail and never return your call. They will charge you fees and not tell you that they are doing so unless you go through your account and find them! There are plenty of cheap apartments that do not have the horrendous office staff that this place has. Remember that there are other apartments under the same leasing company so be vigilant not to rent from any of their properties. BEWARE!! Do NOT rent from any Midwest Diversified properties.

The end of my lease is near and a maintenance concern was never addressed in my unit. Since my rent would be increasing and I wanted to move anyway I requested to move to one of the upgraded units here since I like the location. Now I am well aware I will be paying more in rent and thought it would be worth it to get some of the amenities that I wanted. I was foolish enough to ask the unhelpful management if I can upgrade at the end of my lease to another unit that has a ceiling fan and renovated bathroom. Management is not transparent or helpful when responding to my request and has a horrible attitude. I only paid my rent on time mothly for almost 2 years. Its ok I can move to a new location and they will put someone else in this mediocre unit with the water issue in the bathtub and that person will be paying even more than I did so why should management care about making me a paying tenant comfortable as a renter.

I am very disappointed with my experience with roper mountain woods. I don’t ever write bad reviews, but feel others need to know what my husband and I experienced. After having to cut our lease short and paying 2 extra months rent (which we understood and agreed upon) they charged us 2 grand after moving out for scratches on the floor that we noted on move in and had a picture of to prove. We had a large area rug the whole time we lived there covering these scratches. I also didn’t understand why a couple scratches caused them to replace the whole floor when in comparison to the rest of the apartment, the flooring was the best looking piece of the apartment even with a few scratches. Later we learned the floor was made of one large roll of paper, which I have never heard of and seams to be a very cheap and poor option in my opinion. The apartment is clearly not updated, it had a broken ice maker and rusted appliances, the blinds were falling apart and the patio door struggled to open and close. They charged us for the broken blinds, which were falling off upon move in. Also, they charged us to resurface the tub, which makes no sense to me considering a rental company should understand part of the business is paying for updates and normal ware and tear that occurs over time. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything around you. The building it self always smelt of weed and we always struggled to find parking. For a 2 month period they blocked off half of the parking to repaint I guess, but never did anything. There were always broken down cars with flat tires taking up parking spaces. After all this, the price is not worth what you get. We are very frustrated with this whole experience and plan to warn anyone I know looking for an apartment to NEVER go to Roper Mountain Woods.
I was skeptical to move in because of some of the recent bad reviews but I’m so glad I did. I moved in earlier this year and I don’t see why this property has so many bad reviews. Office staff are so helpful, maintenance gets my work orders completed within a day or two! I’m glad I chose to move here.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! It is not work the headache. Me and my husband has had nothing but issues with this place as well as with the property manager Christa. When we moved out, we her for her supervisors name and email due to something we should have not been charged for and manager refused to give name or email. ISSUES THAT EXPERIENCE: Molding under sinks and in ceiling, Filthy air conditioning unit, it also freezes over every week, rusty bathtub/shower head/shower curtain rod, HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!!

Thanks again, and please let us know how we can make your stay here a five-star one.
It's not the worst, but could be way better. We've been there for almost 2 years this coming February 2018 and the fitness/"social gatherings" building has been locked the entire time. I was told because there was no cameras and the owner had to put those in before those buildings could be utilized by the residents. This is an easy solution that should be fixed right away!! The grass, bushes and overall outside look of the complex could use a lot of work. Doesn't look too appealing at all to prospective residents. Overall it's an okay place but wouldn't give it high remarks. The only reason it's getting 3 stars is that the maintenance is great. Any request we've put in has been resolved within 12 hours. Other than the maintenance, it would get 2 stars.
Only good things I have to say: exterior of the place looks very nice and the apartments are ideally located. Maintenance and office were terrible! They were very careful to do just enough to prevent us from having legal recourse, without actually providing what we needed. We had several situations when we were severely inconvenienced or outright lost money because of repeated “fixes” to broken things in our apartment. I was so glad to move out! Then we got the move out statement - they kept our security deposit and billed us extra for a bogus charge. The office ignored our phone calls and refused our certified letter. We finally paid just to have the nightmare over – which is how I assume they continue to get away with this behavior.
I moved in January 2017, the freeway was loud but not unbearable. In the last 6 weeks, ALL of the trees blocking some of the sound have been removed. It is now 4x louder than when I moved in. On top of that, nighttime construction has started. I've been prescribed sleeping pills and still cannot sleep through the night. Management has offered to downgrade my unit (100 sq ft less and missing a half bathroom)for the same price. Nothing was been offered to compensate for the inconvenience and cost it will take to move to another unit. My quality of life has gone down significantly and my frustration mounts daily.

This is the LAST PLACE I will recommend someone to move!the appliances are awful, the dishwasher always leaking, the flooring is cheap and the stove isles lean out of the drip pans!the property manager is never on her job.she just happy to have that "title".trust me,not a place to call home.the plumbing is HORRIBLE HERE!and u can hear almost everything your neighbor is talking about!this community is the worst!!
The apartments are cheaper than most in Greenville and still not worth what you pay to live there; better off living somewhere else. Apartments are poorly remodeled with cheap appliances; evident that they did not invest in quality work. Building K parking lot floods whenever it rains or drizzles (good luck getting to or from your car). There are stray cats and dogs throughout the property that management claims not to have time to handle or claims not see (I know that not to be the case). Office and maintenance staff doesn't mind letting you know by their demeanor they do not care about your concerns. Cannot express how disappointed I am in this place.
This apartment complex is a joke. Not only is there day to day drama within the staff, and poor treatment of residents (in my case), but they refuse to fix issues you have unless threatened. The apartment above us sent in a mold culture, and they denied there was mold present until he provided proof and called the EPA. Guess what? They relocated him free of charge. No mold.......get out of here with that! I also recorded their walk through after our millionth complaint. Anyone like to see the video? I would be happy to provide. Long story short. They spent a ton on the exterior recently, but prepare for a nightmare. The positive reviews you see here? They had a contest. 5 star review entered you for a new IPad. Some people will say anything for a chance at something for free. Last I heard, no one actually won the IPad. go figure.
Been living here since March 2013, neighbors are very friendly. Quality of Staff is OUTSTANDING!! appliances all updated, fitness center is wonderful. Just a great place to live, not noisy and very updated!!
This is one of the best Apartment Complexes I have stayed in! Has great living space as well as all the up to date appliances for your needs! They allow pets here as well which is a bonus for me if I ever decide to get a dog! Check Roper Mountain Woods out today!
