We are located across the street from the Blue Hills Reservation, with 7000 acres of natural beauty and 125 miles of trails, with easy access to Providence and Cape Cod. Property Ratings at Rosecliff
Pros: The apartment itself is good - washer and dryer in unit work well, there are high ceilings, and balcony is nice. -Good parking options. -Complex is relatively safe, with easy access to Blue Hills Reservation. -There's a package room. -Usually pretty quiet. Cons: -Maintenence (while kind) is overworked and understaffed, leading to huge delays in repairs. This is frustrating as I've had multiple appliances break down, and it's slow to be fixed. -Indoor pool has been closed since I moved in, and the outdood pool has been closed multiple times as it is in disrepair. -Site management is usually not very responsive to concerns. (New manager joined recently, I'm hoping they are able to improve this.) -Despite it being a non-smoking complex, my neighbors smoke frequently, and nothing has been done. -Security in the mail room is not great. Several people have reported their packages stolen, and I've had prescriptions delayed because of the disorganization. -Rent was raised 14% last turnover, (for reference, Boston avg. increase in prices was 9.5%, and inflation at the time was 7.5%) and the parent company point blank refused to negotiate with me, despite issues listed above, and the fact that I do not live in one of the renovated apartments. My biggest frustration has been with management's handling of issues, and their willingness to help the residents. Again, I'm hoping a new manager will improve the situation, but I would not recommend that anyone moves here.
Rosecliff Apartments is located right at the Braintree/Quincy split. This complex offers many wonderful amenities as well as very spacious bedrooms. Rosecliff has not one, but TWO pools on the property. They have an outdoor one for the summer and an indoor one for the rest of the year. The indoor one is adjacent to the gym. The gym is a decent size, not as large as it should be but there is still plenty of machines to use. In the main building, you will find the leasing office on the first floor and the Club Room/Game Room on the second floor. We have used those rooms many times for game nights and small gatherings. The layout of Rosecliff definitely makes it feel like its own little community. There is free outside parking. The indoor/covered parking comes with a fee. The apartments themselves are extremely spacious and well planned out. It has a nice kitchen, white appliances, and breakfast bar (the breakfast bar is high, I recommend the high barstools). There is a lot of closet space and living space, without ever compromising the bedroom space. The biggest surprise in the apartment is the size of the bathroom. It is so spacious, long vanity, lit by 5 overhead light bulbs. It has a large bathtub with shower head. You can chose to take a quick shower, or you can fill the tub up take a bath. (Trust me, I’ve done this plenty!) Last but not least, the apartments come with their own washer and dryer in-unit. This has made laundry so much easier! This community is conveniently located 2 minutes away from the South Shore Plaza mall. It is an 8 minute drive to the Quincy Adams station and it has a bus stop right in the front of it. From Quincy Adams T Station, it takes about 25-30min to get into Boston. In regards to groceries, it is a 10 minute drive to stop and shop, but, the mall (which is 2min away) has a super Target inside. There is also a Starr market closer than stop and shop (but it’s not my favorite place). The Target offers groceries as well as a pharmacy. Across from the mall, there is a small plaza that has a Legal Sea Foods, TGIF, Five Guys, Q’doba, AMC Theater (completely renovated with the red comfy seats), Jared Jewelers and a Vitamin Shoppe. Rosecliff is truly a little hidden gem that is far enough to disconnect from the city, but close enough to be able to go in and out of Boston with ease. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. My partner and I have been living here for 3 years and completely love the place!
Stayed at property location of approximately 7 years and went through multiple management changes. Overall property location is very close to great amenities and restaurants. Traffic congestion is problematic at some points during the day. Staff are helpful. Fitness, both indoor and outdoor pools on sight, and covered garage. Nice and quiet most of the time.
The apartment is spacious providing over 1000 sq ft. and being 12 miles outside of downtown Boston is a huge Bonus. However, I have been so disappointed with the staff at Rosecliff Apartments, Equity owned. As a loyal customer and one whom always pays on time it has been upsetting to learn how "uncaring" their staff treats their customers. We have decided to put our hard earned money elsewhere and would love the financial help of this offer from Apartments.com. I have put over $24,000 into this rental alone this year and have been using Apartments.com as a way to look to the future of renting, made easy.
