Bellport, a small village on New York's Long Island, may not be all that well-known with its larger-than-life neighbors, the Hamptons and Manhattan, stealing the limelight -- but that's just fine with Bellport residents. With its stately homes (many historic) perched on large, tree-filled lots, its marinas, and its private Ho Hum Beach (that's anything but "ho-hum"), Bellport is a sweet sanctuary that barely resembles what you'd expect to find so close to NYC.
While you can take a 90-minute train ride into the city, you'll feel far removed from the Big Apple in Bellport. And since it hasn't been "discovered" yet, the village has very little traffic congestion -- far less than the Hamptons. It is somewhat off the beaten path, making the charming downtown area -- filled with antique shops, restaurants, boutiques, and more -- a hidden gem.
After renting in Bellport, you'll enjoy access to Ho Hum Beach, a private beach for villagers to enjoy via private boat or ferry.

Property Ratings at Rosemont Brookhaven
The Rosemont Brookhaven could be a wonderful place to live if management actually cared about the residents living in it. Our apartment flooded three times from our AC unit which we were told by the maintenance crew it was one of the oldest in the complex and needed to be updated. The first two times they lifted the carpets and put fans underneath. I had to fight to get them to replace the carpet. Then we had a flood coming through our ceiling from the apartment above us and we had a huge crack in the ceiling that we had asked then to fix multiple times and no one ever came to fix it which resulted in mold. Let's see what other issues we had, we upgraded our apartment since we had the flood, this was the only way to get rid of the carpets. They took out old lighting fixtures in the ceiling and never came back to patch up the holes in the ceiling from the previous fixtures. Since they took the carpet out they put down a "linoleum wood" on the floor. Where the molding was ripped up they glued the linoleum down and never replaced the molding in some areas so all you saw was brown glue. I had reached out to Lauren and she said we had to call the contractor to get them to come back... Seems odd when that's their job isn't it? So we called the contractor multiple times and left messages and they never returned our calls. That was also never fixed. Finally we decided to not renew our lease, and we get a bill in the mail for $500 for damages to our blinds (we have a cat) and we couldn't find the gym key, and a piece of the rug in the bedroom which by the way was not replaced after the 2nd flood, needed to be patched up. Totally fine paying for the blinds and the keys, but seriously? So I reached out to Lauren, never get an answer from her or upper management, and what happens? They send the bill right to collections. I've never delt with any company that cares so poorly about the residents. Good luck to the next person they move into our old apartment because I guarantee they just put a bandaid on everything instead of fixing the real issues.
Look elsewhere! Fees for everything. Drug dealers. No parking. Speed demons running over Mallard families. Drafty, water leaks, foundation cracks, black mold, ants galore, termites, spiders that can wear saddles on their backs, earwig infestation, dog crap everywhere, pay for parcel delivery to a mail locker room and packages are left piled on the floor. Lost USPS packages, landscapers are terrible and have total disregard for your personal property, maintenance workers are nice enough guys, except for their boss, and the maintenance orders are more often than not dismissed. Was filthy when I moved in. Painted over dirty baseboards, disgusting, filthy range hood. Kitchen drawer fronts com off when opening the drawer. Cabinet doors (with hinges) falling off. Dryer vents and AC/Heating ducts never cleaned out and system shuts down and dryer doesn't dry. I can just keep going... Do yourself a favor and save the aggravation and headache! Keep in mind when reading the reviews, those tenants got a discount on their rent that month for a five star review!
I lived at rosemont brookhaven for only a few short months. But in those few short months it was atrocious. Not only is the office staff extremely rude and impatient with everything the potholes are horrendous. I got 2 flat tires in the community. Almost every unit has an ant problem. In just discussing with my neighbors they even admitted it to. The gates are broken most of the time or not even attached. The heating in the unit worked half the time and would never heat efficiently upstairs. The windows in my unit were leaking cold air in and raising the heating costs. Maintenance response was well their old windows and we can't replace the windows in every unit. put plastic over your window. One of my roomates cars had both his tires slashed. They fine you for absolutely everything even if your garbage bags are untied and the trash pickup isn't often enough so you have to drive your excess trash to the dumpsters which are overflowing most of the time and have garbage bags sitting to the sides of it. The traffic at the gates are awful sometimes backing up into the street. Cop cars have been on my block multiple times and while walking my dog I’ve walked by people smoking weed and offered me to buy some of their supply so add drug dealers on top of it. Maintenance half the time is extremely slow to respond to requests. You pay for the package locker when all of my packages i've ever gotten where delivered to my doorstep and if you want to complain you have to talk to the office girls who don't seem to have the time or desire to hear it. Cars drive up and down the block blaring music past 11 PM. Upsides are when your not smelling the dump the landscaping is pretty gorgeous and the fountains do help improve the scenery. Outside of the view not much else to boast about.

-100 ? DONT RENT HERE! If you want to be completely miserable and abosultely HATE where you live, deal with miscommunication, and very rude office staff...ive here Rosemont Brookhaven appt in Bellport 11713. They are full of surprises Thing walls, water issues, rats, mold, land stinks, pond in avery deplorable condition making people sick because of contamination, mail lost, people in drugs running with knife,or people in drugs getting overdosis in the middle of the day for yours kids to see the whole movie and if you complain about it you will be the "ridicules person." I really really regret has been renting here.
Brian came to my apartment to fix a leak coming from my bathroom and dripping into the dining room. He did and excellent job and was very efficient and friendly. The office staff is also great and they made sure that the problem was addressed immediately.
the maintenance staff is very helpful especially brian he came to my house today to fix my toilets that were leaking by tightening the bolts that hold it down and caulking around the toilets he's always very helpful and he was very professional and courteous

Hi there, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience! Our maintenance staff will definitely appreciate the positive feedback. Please don't hesitate to give us a call or stop by our front office if there is ever anything additional we can assist you with!
Maintenance is terrible. There's a smell from time to time from the Brookhaven landfill. People speed through the stop signs and speed bumps. The community board is monitored so only certain things are represented. It is clean though.
I’m proud to say I’m a Rosemont Brookhaven resident. Our maintenance staff comes through yet again. My maintenance issues are resolved accordingly no matter how large or massive. I can always count on my maintenance with a job well done. My kitchen light had to be repaired and maintenance once again came to the rescue without hesitation.
Property is well maintained, and it has a nice gym/office. Also, it is an very affordable.

Well if I’m going to be fair to myself and the complex I’d have to write a review based on MY experiences here. As rents have increased from time to time I can say honestly that we only got a major increase once in the past 5 years. Now I’m beginning to learn why. As I have searched for new homes and even new complexes that offer the similar ammentites it’s come to my attention that Rosemont Brookhaven clearly has the best of what you want for the price. Hands down. I have had nothing but very good experiences with the maintenance crew here which has been huge and helps me sleep well at night. Let me explain why. As this complex was built before I was born there naturally is going to be issues here and there. Despite what I’ve seen others write I can only share my experiences as the years have passed. In the past two years I’ve had a brand new hot water heater installed. Brand new carpeting in my downstairs redone. New refrigerator, new driveway when we moved in, new light fixture in the kitchen, new upgraded flooring in the bathroom. ALL AT NO COST TO US!!! So the complex has been bought out over the last two years by a larger cooperate office. I think this may have had some people on the fence but at the same time I think most residents would say it was time for a change. As the next year went by and the complex went through its ups and downs hiring and firing new and old contractors and employees it’s fair to say that we’ve made major strides for the better in all areas. Our clubhouse and Gym was upgraded on every level and while some people didn’t like the changes in the gym others like myself happen to love it. Prices have risen moderately over the past few years which is common but due to the upgraded apartments that are being remodeled as tenants move out. It’s clear Rosemont wants to offer you the best of what you can get. Gates which were a huge issue for most people are now back and working 99% of the time. Even if someone hits them the company is out the next day to fix it. Automatic Parcel lockers being installed to avoid porch pirates from dwelling on our resident etc. They completely remodeled our tennis court and even added a beach volleyball court as well in the complex. Pretty sweet I must say. So far it’s been a pleasure for us and I’m certain it would be for you as well. I’d recommend speaking with Annmarie at the front office as she’s always been my favorite. Cheers and good luck to you on your move in :)
I love the apartment I live in but I wish I could break my lease. The smell from the neighboring landfill and compost facility is so overwhelming that if you can actually taste it in your mouth. I don't even walk my dog when it's really bad. I smell it in my apartment and it gives me a terrible migraine. It is disgusting. It's really too bad because I love living here otherwise.
It looks like a great place to live but between roaches, spiders, termites, ants, pill bugs it’s repulsive. We couldn’t even go outside in nice weather because spiders took over everything. We had the exterminator visit a few times and this issue was never solved. It says that is gated but the gates are always open so they’re useless. Some apartments have way more tenants than they should and frequent visitors to “pick things up” if you know what I mean. I don’t recommend living here. It seemed very nice at first but especially with the turnover of tenants you can see the decline.
the maintenance team is outstanding. always friendly and efficient jodi/gene
The staff and maintenance are so helpful and professional. Great place to live in. Always feel like they listen to my concerns. My a.c. didn't work, they came to check it out as soon as possible and fixed it quickly
Love living here, feels like home with your own driveway & garage. The pools are great. Office staff & maintenance are very friendly & helpful as well.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. First of all, it’s located near a huge garbage dump which you can smell most mornings and can’t even open your windows. Depending on where your apartment is located, you can get a nice view of it as well. We had a huge flood in our apartment and they wanted to just dry the carpets we had and just replace the padding underneath. They were extremely rude and anything but accommodating during this time. Their maintenance crew came in and just bagged our stuff, wet and dry and threw it on our bed and in our sons crib and ruined a lot of our stuff. After fighting with the office, they finally replaced the floors in the apartment. Even after doing that, there was black mold growing in our bedroom which we discovered when we were moving so who knows what we would be living with if they didn’t replace the floors. After leaving, we received our security deposit or at least what was left of it. They charged us $75 for removing a satellite dish which was left by the previous tenants. We had to prove it wasn’t ours but the best thing is it’s still there today and we moved months ago!!!!! We have friends and family living in this complex and we saw it when visiting them. They also charged us to change the bathroom vanity because of our child safety locks but turns out they were going to replace it anyway since they are updating all the apartments after the tenants leave.
Overall it’s a beautiful community, you are truly paying for what you want. The apartments are up to date, clean and it’s quite. Ducks come to the ponds which is cool . The mail room is nice, so you don’t have mail piling up at your door. The garage is my favorite thing, not having to clean my car off in the winter. Maintenance is awesome and fix things as they come along. Staff in the leasing office are professional.

We have lived in Rosemont Brookhaven 5 years, we do not have one complaint about the Maintenance Crew and service received for the entire time we have been residents. The team is professional and true to their word. Always respectable anywhere in the complex. Erin was in today to work on my concern today and she was great. Thank you for your assistance, Joann V.

I mostly like it here, however I am disgusted and frustrated with the lawns. I moved in here a few years ago and at that time the lawns were lush and green and well cared for. About two years ago there was a major failure with the sprinkler system. Since then they have failed to repair the sprinkler system and at this point the lawns are burned and look like straw. It looks awful and it is embarrassing to have visitors see this. No one would accept this in a private residence, I don't understand why we are expected to accept this from our rental company. We pay a fee for grounds and maintenance and our requests to have this repaired are being ignored. I call the office often to inquire about the status of this repair. I either get a lie or the run around. One day I'm told its getting fixed. The next day I'm told that it is in the hands of the home office and to leave a number and I'll get a call back. Yeah great, a callback with no answers great. The photos displaying the lawns on this website and on the Rosemont Brookhaven page are from several years ago and don't look anything like this anymore. I wish there were an option to add photos to this review. If you are planning to move here ask the office about the sprinkler and lawn situation. I'd get a guarantee in writing that this will be repaired before I sign any leases.

They call it "The Point" and it is SO easy to access because there is no security and gates aren't working. You can chill and smoke ANYTHING at anytime and nothing happens - the residents are scared and won't do anything. There are even "ladies" that chill sometimes....There are like 3-4 apartments that are selling and a recent raid near me didn't stop them. Management hangs in the office playing on the computer and I have even seen them smoking cigs outside - so why should they care. I once went in and waited for like 10 minutes while they were playing some game on the computer. People park on the street, drive fast (My wife almost got hit one day, don't stop at stop signs and that is event WITH THEIR KIDS in the car... and so many don't pick up after their dogs. This place is a joke - you pay for so much but, there is garbage everywhere, even tho you pay for a service, poeple use their garages for storage and working on cars when they are supposed to put their cars in. They use guest parking so there is no place to park - lights are broken. sure Maintenance is good but, they don't do anything about cars in street or people hanging smoking. The lawns are dried out, there are no sidewalks to walk so it is dangerous with the cars. There are a few that like it here because it is quiet and a step up from where they came and they treat it badly, some do care and others know they are leaving in a short time they don't care about the place..Find another place, management needs to know what is going on, change things and then it willo be better. I am just glad my leaase is up soon and I am outta here. DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY!!! YOUR KIDS AND YOU WON'T BE SAFE!

We just recently moved in and had nothing but issues upon issues. They jacked up the cost of the rent $200 2 days later when we came back to put a deposit. There is no guest parking. The units look nice but the "upgraded" units they promised are just linoleum flooring and semi decent lighting. Issues upon issues. No assistance with anything. Not worth it. I don't know what is worse this or Fairfield properties. Buyer beware!!
They fired the trainer so no more free trainer Has a lousy valet garbage service cost $25 /month very sporadic service Not a gated community/no security Very slow to fix street lights, pot holes Poor communication
We want to love living here. But when the property manager has the sales people contact you because she cannot handle it herself, or they want to raise prices and charge for garbage pickup and not come, why live here?!
The landscaping is absolutely beautiful and all the apartments have garages and their own driveways. They remind me of townhouses and they are more like a home than any other apartment I have ever lived in. It's beautiful here the people are nice the community is nice I would highly recommended it and have recommended it to others who has actually moved in.
Great apartment complex, 4 swimming pools, gym, modern and up-to-date apartments with newly updated appliances. Security gates do not function and price to maintain gates is included in monthly rent. Would be nice if they deducted this cost from the rent.
We fell in love immediately! There were so many different models and styles to choose from! From 1 to 3 bedrooms, condos, town homes and ranch style homes! Our 2 bed 2 bath is 1199 square feet with an office nook and garage, every apartment has it's own garage!!!! Every unit has laundry and a dishwasher as well! We didn't know something like this existed where live! The amenities they offer are beyond any other complex we toured, 4 pools, a full gym and gorgeous club house! The grounds are so well maintained and there are beautiful ponds with fountains inside this gated community! To top it all off they are pet friendly and the people are the friendliest! We love coming home every day!! The maintenance crew and the staff are awesome as well! We absolutely made the right choice with Atlantic Point! We couldn't be happier!!
everything you want in an apartment. shopping close
Really nice place to live! Several pools, 24 gym, indoor basketball court, billiards, garage an garbage pick. I've lived here to 7 years an very happy ????
Quiet gated community neighborhood - located minutes from good shopping, dining and the beaches. You get your own washer & dryer, garage and driveway. Other amenities, include a clubhouse, maintenance on premise and gym.
My apartment home is very nice to live in. I truly am comfortable where I currently am. It is a gated community which is one of my most interested parts of the place. However, I am quite displeased with the fact that the gates do not work since I moved in. Privacy and safety are very important to me. The apartment is nice and large to fit all of my needs. If I ever have a problem, maintenance is quick to fix it. Also, the scenic ponds are very nice to sit by. It's such a cute and pretty community and I am mostly proud to say I live here.
