South of I-80, east of I-580 and the Reno-Tahoe International Airport is where you’ll find Hidden Valley. This scenic neighborhood and its residents enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and sprawling landscape of the city. Living in Downtown Reno has its perks, but burgeoning central Reno neighborhoods like Hidden Valley also provide access to entertainment, restaurants, shopping, larger homes and apartments, and more.
Many retailers set up shop near the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, and several strip malls cater to Hidden Valley locals. The central neighborhoods position residents perfectly near Midtown, from a drive up to Sparks, or a trip to Carson City. Just a 15-minute drive from the city center and less than an hour from Lake Tahoe, Hidden Valley residents find themselves close to everything they need in the heart of the city.

Property Ratings at Rosewood Park Apartments
Worst place I have ever lived. The staff is so mean, and they will do absolutely nothing if you have issues with your place. I called about lights not working, about dishwasher leaking, people in my assigned parking and all of those things I had to fix myself.
Everything falls apart! They will come and fix a issue all for it to fall back off the next day. We were told we needed new carpet and then was told that's never going to happen. I don't do reviews but on this place I have to! The blinds are so cheap they are always breaking and expect you to pay and fix them. Windows are not double pane so electric bill is really high and feels like a cold breeze is always coming in and you also hear everything outside! I would be happy here if they cared about the people living in their apartments and made things right without making you feel like you're the one in the wrong cause everything is cheap from the 70s and always breaks. Don't be misled by the pictures this place is like a bad dream. I hate even being in my apartment and that's really sad for how much I pay monthly. Fix stuff the right way and don't make people feel like they're crazy just cause they want to pay to live in a nice place like the pictures show.
Property Manager at Rosewood Park Apartments, Responded To This Review
Samantha, we are very sorry that your experience in our community has not yet met your expectations, after we have tried to appease and accommodate you. We understand that the property was built in the 70's and try our hardest to maintain the apartments. We assure you that it was never our intention to mislead you, or to make you feel crazy. When placing work orders please make sure you are putting them in when something happens and not waiting until your already frustrated. If you would like to check on the status of any work orders, or discuss any of your concerns in more detail, we invite you to give us a call, or stop by the office at your convenience.
The apartment is.... fine there is a lot of bugs but that’s fine too.. what really sucks are the managers if you leave anything outside your door they will threaten you with eviction (even if there isn’t anything outside) and if say, one of your blinds is bent out of place they will again threaten to evict you or charge you $40 to get them fixed. (when they are not even broken) as long as you don’t mind having f*cking a**holes constantly blaming you for things then the place is fine. Also don’t bother going to the pool it is unsupervised and kids will throw footballs across the pools and nearly drown you by canonballing on top of you.
The staff at this complex made getting information about a unit impossible. I was repeatedly interrupted, cut off, or ignored by staff when trying to get information about unit prices/application process/deposits/amenities/etc. Not to mention from what I see, the deposits are outrageous anyway. Literally any other complex has better pricing and SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. If one intends to LIVE at your property, you probably shouldnt start off treating them like trash.
Property looks appealing from the outside, inside is really out dated and always really cold. The walls have cracks everywhere and crumble when even touched in some places. Base boards were removed a lot time ago but they should of kept them on, it looks awful. Not to mention nails from the structure itself are poking out in the bedrooms! Oh, and beatles EVEN WHERE in the summer, inside, outside, on windows, it's awful. Closet doors keep falling off, they've fixed them over 10 times within 2 years but refuse to replace them, and everything is super cheap, the blinds break when pulling them up, then they tell you to pay for new blinds...$24 per blind from them just so they can do it over and over, and if blinds are broken they give you 24 hours to replace them or you will get eviction notices. Learned my lesson the second pair of replacements. Went to walmart, got a grade up which made a lot of difference, cordless, total of 3 sets for $36!! $24 buying from them PER SET is just not okay, especially when they are the lowest of quality. Also, teeagers and kids EVERYWHERE during summer. They tear things up and they won't do anything unless you know who the kids are and live, I'm not a creeper, just get security you claim we have to go out and investigate for us!
My husband and I moved into Rosewood soon after we were married. At first it was great but we couldn't wait to get out of this place. We would come home after work to our apartment smelling like pot and the office did nothing about it. We had a convertible and our top was sliced open. When we complained to the office they said there was nothing they could do about it. We renewed our lease and were told the rent was being raised due to an increase in loving expenses and had to choose free carpet cleaning or new paint job. We chose carpet cleaning and never got it. Instead when we moved out we were expected to pay for the carpets to be cleaned. People will park in your spot and all the office will do is give you a note to put on their car. My husband and I needed help to get an item off the wall when we moved and asked the office for help. They told us to go find maintenance on the ground somewhere if we wanted help. They don't care about you and will threaten to evict you when you put in a notice. Don't ever go here! They raise the rent every renewal and the place continues to go down hill. Stay away!
The apartment is dirty and the people in the office are rude especially the manager. The neighbors are creepy I used to live here and I complain about my neighbor about how creepy they were but the people in the office didn't do anything about it the worst place ever zero star at all not even 1 star
STAY AWAY!!!! As another person commented here, they don't charge you a deposit but when you move out they renovate the apartment on your dime. I lived in this place for five years only because moving is such a hassle and when I left they charged me for new carpets, new blinds and others, and when I left the unit was in very similar condition as it was when I moved in. The carpets probably did need to be replaced but not on my dime after five years, they weren't new when I moved in. Combine that with the two buildings burning down while I lived there, the drug deals that happen behind all the time, and as mentioned terrible customer service makes this place a bad choice. STAY AWAY!!! ZERO STARS!
I have lived here 4 years and have had no issues. The staff is very friendly. Its close to shopping. The apartments are spacious and a little outdated but is currently under remodeling. They keep the pools, the gym, and the grounds well maintained. I feel safe here. Very family friendly. A nice place to live.
Awful conditions. The outside balcony is literally caving in, there's a hole in our bathtub (before we even moved in), poor sealing on windows and door, and a maintenance crew that's nowhere to be found. The ladies in the office are very sweet, but overall not very helpful. The lure of no first months rent and no deposit are tempting, but overall not worth it.
Very peaceful place. Management is very nice and understanding of situations. Clean and great laundry rooms, gym and pools plus a playground for our daughter.
I have lived in a one bedroom apartment at Rosewood Park Apartments for 5 years. The complex is well maintained inside and out. The staff is very helpful and responsive to my needs. I never have a problem with getting something fixed at any hour of the day. I feel safe here. Their rates are good for our area. I would recommend this complex to anyone. I have referred several of my friends here and they love it too.
When my wife and I first moved into rosewood park apartments it was great, now after half a year we don't like being by a pool. Pool hours are open until 10pm at night where the careless parents and teenagers go down there and scream and yell at the top of their lungs to what seems like much later than 10pm. Neighbors are noisy, no regard for others. 8 people in one apartment is unacceptable, especially for a 1 bedroom. Management is always on top of things, they always do updates to the complex, new paved roadways, deck replacements, etc. their staff in the front office is friendly and always helpful. The caretakers and maintenance do their jobs for the most part except for the walkway by our apartment area. Bushes overgrown and they haven't trimmed them for 3 months which makes it difficult to walk through especially with children. Gated community but as of this last month or so gates are inoperable making it open gate policy which I don't like at all. That's what we pay for is gated community. Other than those minor details, everything is pretty well taken care of. Lastly I do not like the usps timely delivery. 4:30-5:00pm is our mail time we are the last stop of the day which is really inconvenient. We like the apartment, like the access to our vehicle, other than the little things which I'm sure will be taken care of soon. Water is included which is a big plus, too.
24 hour emergency maintenance with ease. I've never had any trouble getting my A/C or heat fixed. Satellites are welcomed and my very large service dog was accepted with open arms. Everyone here is very friendly and the maintenence is amazing at keeping the property clean and beautiful. The insulation is great so any outside sounds stay outside. The only downside is the lack of washer and dryer in the unit, but the multiple laundry facilities on site makes it a short and easy walk. Let's not get started on the multitude of pool, hot tubs, and large gym.
