National publications constantly place Pittsburgh near the top of the list for most livable cities in America, and it’s easy to see why. The city has a rich history as an industrial and economic hub, which led to the construction of many grand buildings and public sculptures which still stand today. Downtown in particular is rich with beautifully preserved buildings and lush public parks dating back well over a century, giving the entire community a timeless atmosphere.
Pittsburgh is split into three sections by the rivers passing through the city: Downtown (a.k.a. “The Golden Triangle), the North Side, and the South Side. Each has its fair share of attractions and landmarks: the North Side is home to Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park (making it a perfect area for sports fans), the South Side features big, beautiful greenways and refurbished steel mills, and Downtown is where you’ll find the most variety in dining, nightlife, and entertainment.

Property Ratings at Rossview Heights Townhomes
0 stars if i could. just do yourself a favor - and the property a favor & dont move here. it is MICE and MOLD infested- outlets arent even attached my dryer outlet was a bunch of wires cut off on the ends- shower wasnt working for 2 weeks when we first moved in. they even left an entire bag of wet paint all over the brand new carpet they put down because the bag had a hole in it - THEN CHARGED US 600 DOLLARS TO REPLACE THE CARPET/ when we even rented a carpet cleaner and paid to have it clean- plus 25 dollars for some blinds which they didn't even put on the bill. so I didn't even know I was paying for it about it until i called. i dont even know how there are any good reviews for this place.-

TL,DR: Poorly maintained, bad management, overpriced for what it is. I moved here 11 months ago, and am moving out. Much of my leasing process was overly-confused and mangled. I was assured that my particular apartment would have guaranteed parking for 2 vehicles. I specifically inquired about this because I have a work vehicle. The leasing agent specifically told me an apartment number to apply for and said it had the spot in the garage, as well as a driveway. This was not true. There were a number of hidden fees upon signing the lease. Due to the nature of the time period in which I had to move to start my new job, there wasn't much option to continue looking by the time this property management team contacted me to let me know of the blunders. Otherwise I wouldn't have continued on with the process. This is the most expensive property I've ever rented. The electric bill is $220/month more than my previous residence. As a certified HVAC technician, I've assessed that this is most likely due to their poorly maintained AC unit, which cannot maintain the apartment below 74°F on the first floor, and close to 80°F on the second floor when the outdoor temp is 85°F or higher. I put in a service request in for the AC and no one has been to fix it, though I did have a phone call with a maintenance tech who applied doubt to my assessment and said he would look into it. He has not. When I moved in, my back door did not lock or latch, and was keyed differently than the rest of the house. I submitted a service request and a latch plate was installed. When I said about the door being keyed differently and that I did not have a key to the door, the maintenance tech explained that they were old properties and sometimes not all the keys are returned. He said it's unlikely to have them keyed the same. I ended up replacing it myself. The handle broke off of my kitchen faucet the first day I moved in, and the spout actually has holes in it that leak. bathroom sink trap is literally taped together. They’ve painted the bathroom tile with wall paint, so the whole bathroom is peeling in sheets. The walks and steps are not maintained in the winter. Other tenants complain about recurring roof leaks causing damage to their personal property. One of the tenants asked me if I could fix her heat for her after she was 4 days without in 20°F weather (Maintenance only provided her with small space heaters).

They worst place in the world. They don't let you know when they are doing anything. It will take then 4 months to fix something. Overpriced. Trashcan.

We have lived here for 2 years and I would not recommend these apartments to my worst enemy. The office staff is nonexistent, they constantly lie, the maintenance people never show up when requests are made. I have a small baby and we have a serious mold problem. They have ignored every single one of our maintenance requests! It is ridiculous! Our tub is chipping away by the day. Of course they ignored that request too. This place is a dump! If you stay on the back side... just don’t! You have to have a flashlight to walk to and from your car after dark, as the outside lights never have working lightbulbs in them. The doors are torn down and sitting outside the suites. We’ve had deer, DEER!!! In our suite. Imagine opening your door and meeting a deer face to face. They do not cut the grass either. Weeds and grass are as tall as the stairwell and it’s annoying to walk through on the way to the car. Do not move here. Seriously, things will go wrong and maintenance will not show up and if they do it will be after calling the office multiple times. The office staff are at the Cascades. They can’t even be bothered to be here. Go spend a little more and get a nicer place to live!!

We appreciate the time you took to provide your feedback. Thank you.
This has been my worst experience as a renter. Management will not address issues with neighbors even if the other party is repeatedly violating the lease. Overall, there is also such a huge turnover in management too. Even if there is one person in the leasing office that's helpful, they quickly leave and find a better job. The maintenance and cleanliness of the community, in general, is awful. There is dog crap everywhere, huge structural problems in the townhomes will go unfixed for months, and people use the outside common areas as their own personal dump. In my townhome, there was a huge hole in our drywall for over 3 months. The only reason why it was fixed was because I wrote a negative review of Governor's Ridge and said I'd delete the said review if my wall was fixed. Our bathtub has been damaged for over 1.5 years and has yet to be fixed as well. We've given up on that happening. Do not move here. You'll be paying way too much for such a horrible community.

We’ve lived here for 2 years and it’s been nothing but problems for us. Not only do they cycle through property managers like water, nothing gets fixed unless they think someone new will move in. They tried to take us to court for rent we did not owe and only bothered to correct it upon my 3rd complaint— a situation in which I had to make the woman open my lease and look at it to show her I was right because she argued with me until she did so. Mold grew in our entryway for months and they did not fix it until a new tenant moved in. The front door to our building has been broken since we moved in (the block that helped swing the door closed fell out of the door and hit one of the tenants in the head) and they’ve made no moves to fix it. My neighbor met a raccoon IN THE BUILDING one night and had to scare it away. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not put yourself through what we put up with for too long.

We moved in here in November, and we moved from a long distance. It's difficult to find a place to live without seeing it in person. If we had a chance to visit this location first we would NOT be living here. It's a much older, more run down townhouse than we could see from the photos. When they painted, they didn't bother to mask anything and painted over outlets, light switches and there are splatters on most of the windows. The bathroom in our townhouse is really small, and the shower is actually uncomfortable. I attribute part of this to using a "bath fitters" type installation to reline the shower (possibly twice by the looks of is) which really shrinks the space in there. You have to shower sideways or you hit your arm on the wall. Oh, and the rest of the bathroom is really old, large tile with cracks in it. Not sure why they finished the bathtub and left the rest to look like a bath house, but it's not attractive or functional. The carpet they installed in the lowest grade they could get. I do not expect top of the line carpet for a rental, but I have stepped on the carpet tacks in several areas, carpet edges and on the stairs, a lot which is painful and dangerous for our young child. They painted the basement with a primer, but never actually painted it and that primer rubs off on your clothing. This is not easy to avoid while walking up the stairs either. The garage, oh the "garage". This should be listed as a utility shed attached to your home. We have a compact car that barely fits in the garage. It's nice to have that extra storage, but don't assume you will get to keep your car in doors. It is nice to have that extra storage, but we were really hoping to avoid scraping snow off our car and getting our kid into her car seat without standing in the elements. Oh well, lesson learned.
The complex was taken over at the end of 2013 and so far it has been poor management. They do not maintain the grounds very well. They do not pick up garbage that falls out of the dumpsters and flies around the complex. They started a brick project in the fall of 2014 and it still isn't done but no one has been here for months and the bricks are just sitting in the middle of a yard. They ripped out the playground in the spring of 2014 and still haven't replaced it despite their promises. The playground was just landscaped but they have a flooding problem when it rains and half of the landscaping was washed away. The "grass" is ugly as most of it is weeds. They have parking problems and do not enforce their own parking rules that are outlined in their lease. Plumbing problems are rampant and all they do is pour something down the drain rather than snaking it. The basements leak water and despite them telling it has been fixed it hasn't but they do not care. Half of the outlets are two prong outlets and we still have active knob and tube wiring. We do not have Fios despite being told we did. The windows are dual pane but have moisture leaks and I currently can't see out half of my windows. One window is broken and has been "fixed" twice. The window won't stay shut and was told they would replace it in the spring - that was 2014. I can't wait to move out. I resigned because I like the location but they aren't getting anything done, the property is looking worse, and they are rude.
