Property Ratings at Round Hill Apartments
I am so happy to call this place my home!! We have been there for more than 13 years, and will probably stay many more!! Michelle is awsome and so is the maintenance staff!!! It's beautiful and quiet, a bit of country in the city!!
I am so glad that I found this place. I face the trees and have peace and quiet from the neighbors. It's clean, grounds are well kept and maintenance stays on top of repairs. Michelle in the office is so nice and helpful. I feel safe here and love the area, so I'm happy.
Ive lived here about a year and have nothing but good to say. Michele in the office is always friendly and you can tell she knows her stuff. The maintenance guys get my requests done quickly. I love the look of the cabinets in my apartment - nice & modern. I will be living here for many years to come. Keep up the good work Roundhill!
We've lived at Round Hill for two years (just signed an extension for a third year) and we are so happy here. The complex is very quiet, every now and then we hear the neighbor next to us or someone in the hallway but nothing that you wouldn't expect living in multi-family housing. Occasionally the hallways will smell like marijuana or cigarettes, which kind of bums me out but our neighbors are quiet and nice enough so I try not to be *that* person, plus it never creeps into our own apartment. The complex has recently made a ton of improvements as well. The kitchens and the bathrooms were updated before we moved in. The furnace, A/C, windows, and doorwall have all been replaced within the last six months, which has made our energy bills so much more affordable (they got a bit out of hand last Summer). They also put new roofs on all of the buildings, as well as repaved the parking lot. The office managers are always helpful and quick to respond and maintenance is quick to fix any issues that come up. Overall, I only wish that the washer and dryers were better taken care of but they are serviced from a vendor rather than the apartment complex. The area is nice and so close to Commerce Township. We see ourselves living here for a good while and would definitely recommend it. I've seen apartments in Wixom being rented for a lot more than what we pay here and those complexes are outdated and riddled with crime. It's not often that we see move outs here either, which I think is a testament to how nice it is living here.
Michelle the manger of the office is kind and makes me feel so special she is the kindly and sweet person I every seen. I think of her as family she is a special person and blessed I am thankful to have her in my life when ever I need something done she is always there to make sure its done may god bless you and thanks a lot for being there for me. Tiffany is so nice and friendly and when ever you need help with anything she is there for you god bless you and thanks so much. The maintenance staff is very friendly and when something needs to be repair they are there and they get the job done keep up the good work god bless.Michelle thanks a lot for being the friendly and blessed person you are.
I stayed in a lower unit for 6 months during the colder parts of the year, so that I could be near where I worked in Pontiac. Traffic was never bad between there and Roundhill, 15 minute drive. Different story if you head the other way towards Walled Lake.... much different. When it comes to sleeping, I'm very picky, and was pleasantly surprised when I was able to sleep in complete silence every night. Once in a while I would hear the couple's conversation next door during the day. Never heard the guy living above me. Guess I got lucky with the neighbors. The apartments are located on unique terrain; there's a reason they call it Roundhill. Bordering Roundhill is Oakland Highland campus, which has acres upon acres of space for activities. Plenty of room to throw your boomerang, or bike, or golf. Oakland has a trail system that hooks up to a park on the otherside. Great place to walk or run. People take there dogs there all the time. Oakland has an indoor gym in case you want to play Bball during the winter. The apartments themselves are humble, nothing flashy, and the surrounding area has personality. And it was the cheapest apartments I could find, what a lucky dog. -Spencer
I have lived here for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. The staff is so kind and makes me feel so special each and every time I come into the office. The community is large but still maintains a small feel. I've had great luck with my neighbors as well. I honestly cannot say enough about how much I like this place.
Management puts fixing apartment necessities on the back burner and does not want to spend any money for new items. My screen door is broken and comes of the track all the time because it is many years aged. I have asked them to fix it at least 10 times over the last two years and they send maintenance to put it back on the track and it just falls off again because the wheel is broken on the bottom. My screen door is currently sitting next to my patio. Still not fixed. I pay my rent in full and on time with no problems but I still cant get my screen door fixed.
We're surrounded by people who chainsmoke all. day. long. I'm a SAHM and I've often been forced out of the apartment during the day multiple times because the smell of smoke is so bad neither of us can breathe. Our furniture is forever ruined - this smell is never coming out of it. Friends and family won't visit with us because of the smell and no matter how often we wash our things WE smell like smoke. Absolutely disgusting. Not to mention a huge fire hazard! This smell wasn't here when we signed the lease and first moved in. If we had known it was this bad we would have left the second we got a whiff. I'm waiting for someone to fall asleep with their cigarette, drop ashes on the carpet, not put one out properly... The building itself is dirty. The halls only get cleaned once a week (if that). The laundry room? Plan on finding somewhere else to wash your things. Our washer is moldy and leaves clothes smelling dirtier than when they went in, the dryer will usually give you some cigarette butts to fold with your clothes. I drive an hour one way once a week to wash our things in a clean washer and dryer where I don't have to wait overnight for someone to empty the machine of their things because they "forgot." Our bathroom has 2 holes in the wall from a year ago because our towel bar was knocked out of the wall, maintenance moved it over and never finished patching the wall. Our electric bill? Somehow it tripled since last summer while we've been using the same or less energy and the office doesn't seem to think that's a problem. A $200 electric bill for a less than 1000sqft apartment isn't normal. The ac repair man they sent said it's possible we're picking up someone elses usage. So that's super great! We've tried moving many times but apartments around here are either overpriced for their condition or are gone too quick. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Unless you like to smoke 6 packs a day too. You'll fit right in.
I've been living at Round Hill Apartments for about five months now and so far I like it. The maintenance staff is very friendly and completels repairs promply and efficiently. The office staff could be a little friendlier but for the most part they are great. I feel very safe here walking outside with my dog even at night and I love that the outside door to the building locks. I will not be living here for more than two years but it is a great place to live especially for young people as its reasonably prised.
After living here a year I'd have to say it's the cheapest, most secure, safe community I could find anywhere in Waterford. I'd often joke and say this isn't Waterford, it's essentially commerce Township. Round Hill is right near the border of Waterford, white Lake, and commerce Township, which to me, translates to the cleanest and most secure part of Waterford. That is, as far as apartment searching goes. Is the building a little older and might you find a few quirks about the building or washing machines? Yes, but was it worth the cheapest rent I could fine? Most certainly. Depends where you priorities are, but mine were low cost, secure, and a lot of space. Heck, we have 2 bathrooms/2 bedrooms and pay less than some places that only have one bathroom! Some of the staff seemed super helpful, other staff was a little more difficult to work with, but the only issue I really had was that I was never returned my security deposit and was never notified why not.
