Property Ratings at Roundhouse Apartments
They recently renovated, so I'm sure it's better now. However, when I lived there, the halls were barely lit, littered with garbage, elevators broke every other week (I felt very unsafe riding them), and I felt VERY misled after signing my lease. I was told everything was going to be fixed before my lease was up, but nothing was. I lived in what felt like a third world apartment building for a year and jetted out before they finished renovations. For what it's worth, my apartment was "discounted" for construction. And by discounted I mean almost $1,000. I got to listen to construction workers shake the entire building starting at around 6am every day. Great location though, that's about it. They also have a disgusting spider infestation, which nobody would take care of for me. So I did.
Not only does the Round House complex contribute to the area’s special uniqueness, it helps defines the area’s character and sets the perfect architectural tone for Langdon Street, in conjunction with the nearby iconic Armory & Gymnasium (Red Gym) and the legendary Science Hall, and helps make the lower University of Madison campus one of the most beautiful campus areas in the United States (named in 2011 by Travel & Leisure Magazine) and proudly reflect the world-class university founded when Wisconsin achieved statehood in 1848. The Round House’s optimal campus-center location, and lakefront vistas, combined with its’ very high tenant satisfaction quotient, make it one of the best places for students, faculty and families to live in the city, bar none.With patio windows that offer up stunning 270 degree views of the heart of the campus and Lake Mendota, and an interior unit space defined by obtuse, parallelogram, rectangle, square, rhombus and trapezoid walls, it would be nearly impossible to replicate the level of unique satisfaction and aesthetic comfort tenants now enjoy every day at the new and improved Round House;
