Minutes north of Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park is a large suburban community built among the lush and tranquil landscape of the region. Primarily a residential town, Hyde Park’s streets are lined with houses spaced far apart by trees and greenery. The town is most famous as the location of Springwood, the longtime private residence of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, although the community home to a great number of historic homes, buildings, and institutions.
The Culinary Institute of America operates its main campus here, and its students regularly serve the community with four public restaurants around the area and unique pop-up restaurants on campus.

Property Ratings at Royal Ledges at Hyde Park
I've only been living here for 9 months and my bathtub has been peeling and turning black. I put in a work order but nothing was done...
My husband and i had lived there from 2016-2024. The complex is great , nice and quiet. All amenities on the grounds, pool, laundry room which stays open 24hrs was great, gym, dog park, and good neighbors. Laura, Jenna, Tanner and the Maintenance team was all great. I would recommend this complex to anyway that is looking for a nice, clean and quiet atmosphere to consider renting here.
Please make sure if you decide to rent an apartment here, that you get everything in writing if there is something broken prior to signing the lease. Also understand that the apartments that have 6 units or more in one complex do not have intercom systems as noted in the amenities section of their website. There is no doorbell system nor is there any intention of management fixing the problem. The dog park fence is broken so be aware of that if you have a dog. The washing machines do not work very well and the money card you use for doing laundry does not dispense a receipt when you place more money on the card so don't use cash. Make sure you check to make sure your service requested are not being closed before the problem is fixed.
I just moved to the royal ledges 1yr now and I find this place to be a great place to live very comfortably spacious and peaceful, I really can say so far I don't have any problems with anyone if there's an issue to deal with in the apartment once u submit a ticket they come right away to fix the problems, the property manager Jenna she's a great and very compassionate person she is always there when u call on her to assist if there's any problems I think the staff and management at the royal ledges r doing a great job ,nice place to call home.
This is the best place I’ve ever lived. Lauren and maintenance are both incredible. Lauren is so nice, helpful, and accommodating; maintenance is fast, thorough, and respectful. We’ve lived here a few years and never had any issues. The new park is beautiful and the laundry room is affordable and convenient. We’ve always felt safe and were in a great location close to everything we need!
I have dealt with many property managers, NONE come close to the professionalism, courtesy, helpfulness, and attention to detail like Lauren. She had my back every step of the way, from my first inquiry, right into moving day. She is an excellent communicator and a delight to work with. There were many moving parts involving my move to Royal Ledges, Lauren handled it like a breeze!! My apartment is very spacious and cannot ask for a better situation. Love the huge bedroom! After requesting my first work order, the friendly maintenance employees arrived in MINUTES. Knowing Lauren and her team are on site and always ready to assist in any way really puts the mind at ease. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THANK YOU LAUREN! THANK YOU TAMAR! -Pleased tenant
The Hyde Park Condominiums is an excellent place to live. The apartments are very spacious. The property Manager Lauren Lucchese always has the insentive to work with you on any problems that may arise. She is professional, accomadating and most of all a delight to deal with. She handles all tenant issues with knowledge and skill. The maintenance department always responds in a timely manner. They take pride in their work, in order, to achieve outstanding service to the tenant. The property grounds are kept clean and landscaped when needed. The pond is serviced on a regular basis so that it adds a pleasant esthetic look to the area. The pool, in the summer, is cleaned of any leaves and debri. In winter, all terraces and walkways are are shoveled and swept of snow. A company comes and removes the snow quite quickly and most efficient. Pets are permitted and they have a dog area. The property is big enough that you can take your pet for a nice walk. All in all, a good place to live.
My husband and I just moved in a few months ago and we couldn’t be any happier! The management office was so friendly and the level of professionalism was outstanding. The maintenance department was so helpful while we moved in and the nicest group of people. We plan on staying for awhile!
It is unfortunate that human nature is such that it causes people to be quick to complain and yet so slow in complimenting. In order to not fall into this category I want to acknowledge the positive changes that are taking place at Hyde Park Condominiums/Hyde Park Greens Apartments. As a longtime resident, I know first-hand that much of this is attributed to the fact that they now have Lauren who is the on-site property manager. Lauren’s dedication, professionalism, and her overall knowledge of what’s needed to run a property is evidenced by her attentiveness, dedication, professionalism, and in the way she responds and follows up with concerns and/or requests. Additionally, she is doing a great job in not renewing the leases of problematic tenants and has heightened the screening for new tenants. The new lightning and installation of video cameras has given a great sense of security and well-being. Also, kudos to maintenance supervisor Mike and his team who are doing a terrific job in handling the day-to-day maintenance. Keep up the great work, it’s appreciated! T. Gill
I have lived at Hyde park greens going on six years. This is home to me. Whenever there is a problem be it a maintenance problem or anything else the staff are quick to aid you. Lauren goes above and beyond what is called for to help when there is a problem. Any time I call for any maintenance issues Mike or Lou respond and are quick to fix the issue. I would tell anyone looking to check it out for yourself don't go by the reviews you are reading. Like I said I have lived here almost six years your not going to stay someplace if its as bad as some people are saying they are disgruntled and think by making bad comments nobody will come here. I myself have referred at least 3 people here and talking with them after they have moved in they are very happy that I recommended Hyde park greens to them.
I currently live here. The apartments themselves are very nice for the price...super roomy and spacious...lots of storage. The maintenance people are great and repair things very quickly if there's an issue. The people in the office are nice and helpful. The only compliant I have is I have found many people that live here to be rude and inconsiderate. People honk their car horns late at night... The walls are thin and I can hear my neighbors talking all night long. Occasionally we smell pot in the common hallways, which will leak into our apartment living room. Neighbors are not very friendly. Nice apartments, but definitely not in love with the community. Planning to move when our lease is up.
Nice place , 1 bedroom is very spacious can hold a king size and furniture. Very roomy, closet space may be small depending and what you need. kitchen area is very nice as well and also the living area. Grounds are maintained and well kept. Pool for summer time as well, though I have never used it. No major issues for myself though. Neighbors are pretty good for the most part
I've been here 4 years and I really enjoy living here. My apartment is spacious and more importantly, I feel safe. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the property manager and staff really care about making sure any issues you may have are taken care of timely. The real bonus is the affordable rent and the onsite laundrymat.
I have lived here at Hyde Park Greens almost 4 yrs now , very friendly development , Lauren who runs the office assisting in all the rentals is extremely helpful ,very understanding & she works hard to make sure all the tenants are pleased with their new apartments. The Maintenance staff is great as well, as soon as you call for service they always respond in a timely manner , & work to solve any issues you may have, I have had times when I could not be home for service & allowed maintenance to enter my home, very trust worthy staff & hard working men as well as extremely educated in their profession. I enjoy the pool in the summer & the friendly environment thru out this development.
Apartments are very old. Office staff blames management she works for when there's any issues. Maintenance is slow and mentally il at best. One really old guy thinks he grew up in the movie godfather and yells all the time. Other one Just got out of prison. Not a place anyone would want to live.
Our experience renting at the Hyde Park Greens was fine while we were there. The noise level is about average for a complex of that size. The apartments on the top floor are pretty nice, albeit small. (I do hear that the bottom floor apartments had mold problems, so avoid those.) There is a pool, which is a nice amenity to have. Some of the neighbors were questionable but as long as you keep your children away from them you should be fine. The problem is that if you try to move out, don't expect to get your security deposit back in anything resembling a timely manner. We left our apartment in perfect shape, even had the bathroom and kitchen professionally cleaned, and moved out exactly when we said we would, giving them 30 days written notice as well. Now we've been waiting for going on four months to receive our deposit back, with only stalling from their end. This is funny since we saw people have eviction notices pinned to their doors when they were only several weeks late on rent. I guess their tenants need to be timely with payment, but management doesn't. Bottom line: This is an ok place to live. Just don't ever try to leave because they'll drag their feet for months and force you to harass them constantly to get your security deposit back.
I visited this place. Seems nice, family orientated and well kept up. There is also things for the kids to do, which is nice.
I have lived at Hyde Park Greens for coming up on three years. I live on a top floor unit, with a large living room and huge bedroom. I love that we are able to have our dog here and there are no complaints if she barks. The units are kept very up to date and the maintenance staff responds very quickly if there is a problem. Lauren in the office is wonderful and is such a pleasure to deal with. There have been two previous managers in the office and nobody compares to Lauren. She communicates excellent with you and always listens if you have a concern. I was reluctant to move here due to the numerous complains I have heard previously but now I love it and plan on happily staying here for a while longer. Nobody bothers me in my unit and most of my neighbors are very friendly. They are also putting more signage up on the premesis and doing some great groundskeeping to help the place feel more like a community. I would reccommend this complex to anybody looking for a nice place to call home.
