Property Ratings at Royal Vista Apartments
My girlfriend and I have lived here for almost 2 years and we love it. Not only is it one of the more affordable complexes in Carson City, it is one of the most quiet. Jayme, the property manager, is amazing, and the maintenance staff is great! If you're looking for a one bedroom, I would highly suggest it.
These people can't keep site managers, the managers are incompetent and tell tenants one thing and then are gone and will send you to collections even though the site managers said everything is fine and no issue.
I currently live here. The apartment complex just got bought by a company from California. I was just told a number of long time tenants were given a $190 a month rent increase. Many people are moving out because of this. Apparently the average rent in this area is about $850/ months. A number of us don't pay that. We pay less. So instead of raising our rents a normal amount, the new owners are gouging us.! They know we can't find apartments less than that in this area. It's horrible what people will do to make a buck. As far as the description on this page, it's wrong. There is no playground. Just a park area with 2 barbecues. The last manager, who was railroaded out of here, had a horseshoe pit installed along with a small fenced in area for the dogs to get some excersize off leash. This is a pet friendly complex. And there are a number of dogs here. But be warned, you will pay more for each pet than is listed here. I'm almost suspecting that the new owners are trying to get this complex to not be dog friendly. Be very, very cautious wanting to live here. Just don't rent here. My best advice.
This apartment complex is plagued by high-turnover office managers, an aggressive ownership, and inconsistency in paperwork. The living conditions are sparse, overpriced, and not accurately reflected on this webpage. As an example: all the units are smoking units. The pet fee is $25 per month, per pet. The office hours are 9-5, unless the current office manager likes to dip out early. Save yourself a hassle, live somewhere else.
