Property Ratings at Running Creek
I figured I would leave this review in the event someone else is considering these apts. It's a solid place, no issues. I have a 1BR on first floor and Im in my 2nd lease here. Management is cool, neighbors are nice, parking is fine, and the location is great too. Nothing negative to say overall. Happy with my apt. If you're looking at an apt, Running Creek is worth looking into!
I have lived here for a few months and I am so happy this is the place I chose. Everyone is so friendly and the staff is so welcoming. Sam and Christy in the office alone make me feel at home living here. The very few times I have needed maintenance they were on it immediately and got everything fixed up for me. The location is amazing as well!
This is the worst apartment complex I have ever see. We’ve had cockroaches, everything floods, we have windows that don’t open and the ones that do don’t have screens. They refuse to fix anything and if they do fix it, it’s the cheapest fix possible. They literally put glued rubber tile to cover a gap between my sink and the wall. They painted over the last residents dirt and mess so that when you wash the walls, the dirty just smears. There is mold in both bathrooms and the kitchen and they continue to say it’s not mold. They have had 3 different front office managers in the last year. No one ever answers emails or returns phone calls. The cars continue to get broken into and they do nothing about it but say “file a police report”. They do nothing about noisy neighbors or problem residents. It’s just a absolutely awful. Charged me $75 for a 2x2 inch square of carpet that needed replaced because the door opens into the carpet. Charged me when I moved out for things THEY fixed incorrectly like the hole in the wall that they patched but never came back to sand or paint. I recommend living literally anywhere else.
Worst apartment ever. Everything is broken and covered in mold. No screens in any windows, the windows barely open or shut. The front door barely works. Packages constantly getting taken. Neighbors are the worst and the front office does nothing about it. Has been through 4 or 5 office managers in 4 years. Nothing is ever fixed. Maintenance man is a joke. He doesn’t know another except how to cheaply and poorly fix things with tape and nails. My dishwasher opens INTO my stove. They threatened to raise the rent if we did not resign 4 months early. Threatened to fine us if we didn’t give more than 60 days notice for leaving. It’s the worst apartment complex ever. If I could give it a negative star, I would.
Cant wait to move next Sept. I shouldnt have renewed my lease!! Nothing ever gets fixed and when it does they do it the cheapest way possible. I hate it here!!
From the moment I moved in I regretted it. I moved in may with no window screens and took until November to get any(and they still didn’t fit). First month their online system had a glitch making me reposilble for the late charges of $80. The response time of maintenance was an average of 3 months. When I finally called it quits I moved out a month early still paying my rent they took over THREE MONTHS after my scheduled move out date to get my deposit back and not even the entire amount which my landlord Amber promised me. If you value your money and time this place is NOT worth it. If there was a negative star I would choose that.
I signed my lease a little less than a year ago. I love the location, it is within walking distance from a lot of restaurants, gas stations, bars, and a grocery store. My particular building is pretty quiet and peaceful, but the building across from me always seems to have trashy people walking around, and I have seen a few police cars every once in awhile in that specific building. My neighbors are really friendly, and the best part QUIET. The complex has had some car break ins, so locking up your car and apartment are a must. It has happened on more than 2 occasions in the past 8 months or so, but the only cars that are messed with are ones that are not locked. I've never had a problem, but other people in my building and the surrounding buildings have, just lock up, common sense to me anyways. Maintanance is slow, if you make a request, they take days to get to you. I've had a few little things here and there needing fixed, and it takes 3-4 reminder calls to the office before anyone gets around to it. I call them 3 times a day, for 3 or 4 days before they get here, and usually each time I call they don't know what I'm talking about, they don't remember I called, or it's a different person working that knew nothing about it... management could be a little more organized on that end. It shouldn't take several reminder calls, several days for maintenance to arrive but it is what it is. Places to walk your animals are also limited, and NO ONE picks up after there pet it seems like. Running creek is a good place for the price, I live in a 1 bedroom and it's huge. Of course there are better places out there, but for the price I can't really expect any better. It's quiet, close to everything, and I like the price for all the amenities. It's an ok place, nothing over the top. But it's not terrible
I have lived here for almost 2 years now and I love it. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Sure there are a few bugs but not enough to make it unlivable. Let's face it bugs are everywhere! The management and maintenance are great, dependable and trustworthy. So if there are any issues due to maintenance, or bugs, let them know and they are on it right away. The space is sufficient, the rent is ok, no different the any other in this area and for what you get, awesome amenities (love the pool, fitness center and laundry facilities) I can not complain! It is a safe area, nice neighbors, and excellent staff. Why go anywhere else? Thanks for reading. ;-)
I moved to the area almost two years ago and Running Creek became my first home and apartment. I love the on call maintenance, kind management, and of course the pool. Being a tight budgeted college student and a full time employee this place makes me feel safe. My neighbors are wonderful and look out for one another.
I have lived in this apartment complex with my fiancé for two years, and I am THRILLED to say we will not be renewing our lease next month. We've made multiple complaints about neighbors, management does nothing. We've requested our light fixtures (main hallway and dining room) to be fixed five months ago, they're still broken. Management is constantly changing, there's a complete unwillingness to work with your personal schedule concerning rent/maintenance/etc. HUGE bug problem, our apartment is constantly plagued by stink bugs and this past May was the first time they've EVER sprayed for bugs, despite our multiple requests through out the years we've been here. They've raised rent twice over the last six months, properties are too small. If you're looking for a place to sleep, this might work for you. But if you want a home I suggest you look elsewhere.
