Property Ratings at The Apartments at Saddle Brooke
My husband and I love it here . It’s a great place for families! The staff is very friendly and maintenance takes care of requests promptly . I recommend this apartment community to anyone looking for a short or long term home .
I’ve been a resident here for about two years now the community is great my neighbors are great close to the belt Wayin walking distance of some great stores Tabatha and her team at the leasing office is great they help me out through the pandemic they gave excellent Resources and was there for me every step of the way I highly recommend Saddle Brook Apartments
This was the first place I lived when I moved to Maryland. I moved here during COVID and so wasn’t able to do an in person tour, but they sent me pictures of the unit and were with me every step of the way to make sure everything was in good condition. I really loved living here. I had a first floor unit so the back yard area was really nice and open; perfect for my dog. The basement was kind of dark; not very well lit; could use some more lights/ brighter bulbs but it’s not like it’s a super dark creepy basement. The inside was well lit, clean, spacious. I really enjoyed calling Saddlebrooke my home! There’s a dog park a short walk away and a public park/field just across the street. Target is just a quick walk away and Walmart just down the road. The public library is just down the road as well as an elementary school and a middle school. Plenty of parking and very kind, welcoming management. If I ever had an issue they were quick to respond and made sure to follow up on everything. I love how cute this place is and how clean it always was. I think in the year I lived here I saw maybe 2 bugs in the whole building. It’s a super great place to live! Nice nature trails nearby as well! Beautiful area and great place to live.
Poor communication from management. Dirty, obnoxious neighbors. Lazy maintenance. MICE. Poor finishing of “renovated” apartments. Uneven floors. If you can afford to spend a little more, do it somewhere else. The only appeal of this place is the cheaper rent but it’s just not worth it. Water turned off for the whole building multiple times with no notice from leasing office. Mice that management can’t do anything about. Just look elsewhere.
I LIKE this place. It is my Home. And after several management / ownership changes over the past almost 6 years, this current group is the best one yet. A true test is how the staff and management took and continue to take care of their residents during this horrific pandemic crisis. Also, and several acquaintances agree, this level of dedication and commitment to service is rare at anytime, but especially now when so many people are angry, hurting and in need. I hope to stay here for a very, very long time . . . Anne
I lived in Saddle Brooke from 7/17-7/18 and right away I regretted living there. Management is horrible. They are quick and responsive when they want you to live there, but as soon as you sign the papers, forget about it. These are some of the things I had a problem with -There was a fire in our apartment (321 Limestone) in January 2018. The fire was huge and everyone had to be evacuated for 3 hours. Three apartments were ruined because of the damage. I talked with the neighbor who started the fire (by accident). It had to do with the oven. I asked management and they told me it was an overheated laptop. They lied to my face to cover themselves/their utilities (as I'd expect). -Normally, front doors are locked and you need a separate key to open the complex. After the fire, they left our door permanently open so people could fix the apartment. I went to them several times about this. Not only was that not what I paid for, but compromised my security -You pay a landscaping fee there. In my backyard (right after the fire) construction workers threw cigarette butts (often still lit) and let them sit there. Not only is that a fire hazard, but you pay to have your backyard look nice! -There are 1-2 maintenance workers. Even if you have an emergency (toilet stops working, flood), you will most likely have to wait at least a few days. -Management is always defensive. They refuse to accommodate in any way. They know it is a crappy place to live, but don't want to lead that on at all. -ONLY good thing living here is location and the leasing agents. I was in desperation for a place to live so I didn't think much of the reviews I read. Keep in mind they are a business. They want to make as much money off you possible. Everything I stated above is not an opinion, its FACTS. I have pictures and videos to back up everything I said. Nobody should have to waste their money here!
The main issue with this apartment is the those who work in the office. We were pressured to sign the lease a bit early, and when we called the day after we signed, the guy no longer worked there. I was not told that first months rent was due the day we signed either. Also, we were told we had a $100 deposit, which one of us paid. At lease signing, we owed $150 that we had no idea about ($250 total deposit). We asked if there was anything else we needed, and the lady said she would call back and never did. She called me and one of my roommates leaving a message stating she tried to reach us and how we owed a partial rent. We were almost charged a late fee, even though we were never contacted about it. She defended herself telling us she had already told us , like it was our fault (Maybe because her manager was there). We owed $282, which was fine. Then, today I check my account and it said I owed $100. So I called, and was told we were to pay $382 instead.I even emailed the manager, she said the fee was waived because we were first timers, yet it was actually their fault for not communicating. And just told me a break down of what we owed in the past, not that helpful. I'm just going to pay to move on. If it happens again, we may talk with BBB. They lack communication badly.. No documentation of anything either. I'm scared that we will end up paying more then we should to stay here. Whats good? Cockesyville is an interesting area, close to Towson, 30 minutes for Pennsylvania and Ellicott City. I believe 25 minutes to Baltimore City, but I have never been there from here. Far from DC and Virginia, but not too far. A lot of restaurants, and nice having a Wegmans nearby and highways too. The apartment we have seems as though it has been updated not too long ago. Bathrooms are nice, carpet is also nice and the kitchen and large pantry is a nice addition. We have a patio, and neighbors are not loud or disruptive. Also there is a pool and gym. Rent seems a bit high for the square ft. They accept dogs and cats. Maintenance is very good too. You can pay your rent alone as well, locked entrance. My building in particular does not have a parking issue, but some others do. I will not be renewing here though. I feel like for more space and a little higher rent, I could have a better place to live and better management. Hope I helped someone.
I have lived in Saddle Brooke Apartments for three years now; and, I must say it has been a great experience. Far better than any of the previous apartment communities where I have lived. I have a one bedroom with den that has a newly updated kitchen and washer/dryer in the unit. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. For the area I live in, the price isn't bad. The best part is definitely the staff of the community. Whenever I have any concerns or question, they are eager to help and very friendly. Management also completes maintenance and needed improvements to the community and individual apartments regularly which justifies the increase in rent each year. The community seems to be very pet friendly as there are a lot pet owners that live here. Management has installed plenty of bags and disposals for pet waste to keep the property looking beautiful. I don't plan to move from here until I buy a house in the future.
