Property Ratings at Sage at Cupertino
The maintenance and management is not worth the price you pay. The structure is old with no renovation. The patio above ours has serious damages and they won't fix it. Whenever it rains, it pours over on our patio from above and they won't fix it with multiple complaints spanning over months. Responses are always delayed and superficial with no proposed resolutions.
Beware if you are offered any move in bonuses -- they will not materialize. WE have been trying to get the company to honor the promotion they offered and instead the office staff gives us the run around. It has been 8 months since we have tried to get a resolution on this problem.
Property Manager at Sage at Cupertino, Responded To This Review
We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced in regards to the move-in bonuses. We appreciate your feedback and will address this issue with our office staff to ensure a prompt resolution for all future matters. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. -Sage at Cupertino Resident Response Team
Lease signed and everything confirmed for weeks (PGE & internet set up, furniture shipped), and I get a text a couple days before my scheduled move in that the unit has maintenance problems and is now unavailable. Tells me it's cancelled and to find another place. Don't waste your time here. Unbelievably unprofessional.
Property Manager at Sage at Cupertino, Responded To This Review

We understand the frustration this must have caused and appreciate your feedback. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. - Sage at Cupertino Resident Response Team
plumbing is bad.every other week will water shutoff problem. In Dec 2021, there was no water supply for complete 2 days and no hot water for 3 days. issue is still ongoing. Response from the community is also very bad
Very old apartment with lots of external maintenance all the times. A simple maintenance request take months to resolve. Management is always too rude to talk about. Absolutute disgrace as a community.
If you are looking for a place - with appliances always broken without a fix - with no maintenance people solving tickets properly - with leasing office that does not respond or act or care for residents - with 24/7 noises from unnotified constructions, undisciplined neighbors, loud & misbehaving kids disturbing office work - with random issues of plumbing, hot shower, water - with trespassers knocking doors at odd hours and homeless stealing stuff from patios - with security incidents, car break-ins, stolen mails on daily basis - with assigned parking spots taken away wrongly by strangers and patrol never responding or resolving - with high rents exploited and with one-way lease terms for residents... look no further! SAGE APARTMENTS at CUPERTINO has it all!
- I looked one of their upgraded/"renovated" (more on quotes below) apartments with an assistant community manager and decided to apply, and asked her to send me a copy of a blank Lease Agreement in advance. The next day, after not hearing back from her, I called them and found out that she resigned. Clearly, there is no "transfer" mechanism to keep track of new customers and their needs. - They also said that they cannot send me a copy of the blank Lease Agreement before the application, claiming it's 60 pages long and looks like it's too much work for them to scan it and email it. So be ready to lose some money on application and holding deposit, just to be able to see the Lease Agreement. - I applied and got approved, and finally was able to see an actual Lease Agreement. And then I see there is ***Asbestos Disclosure Addendum***. So, they advertise their apartments as renovated, and yet dangerous asbestos is present in their apartments' ceiling, hallways, and other parts of the building, which is built in 1971. Of course, I didn't proceed with renting after that. - The community manager, A. J., hasn't responded to any of my emails, even when her assistants promised a direct reply from her, that never happened.
We have lived in Sage@Cupertino for 3 years and enjoyed every moment it. Its lovely community with lots of socials organized by Management and by residents. The management is very responsive to your needs and concerns. Whenever you drop by to the office you will find smiling faces. Having someone on site for maintenance is very helpful. Urgent requests are taking care of within minutes. If you have kids its perfect place to live because good schools are close by. Also this place is in center of all shopping areas, parks etc. If you are looking for a house in this area, do visit Sage@Cupertino first, you will not regret it.
This is an ideal apartment for people traveling to work daily as it is near to Bus Stops, Express ways and Free ways. The apartment is very well maintained by the management with amenities like Gym, Pool..
