Current resident at Sage Stone and I wouldn't recommend this apartment complex. In the beginning it was great and the office staff was very helpful, but in the past few months that hasn't been the case. My first issue was the fact that I have found 6 scorpions in my apartment in under 2 months. Every time I call the office and inform them of this pest issue and it's the same thing, "We will send someone over on Friday to spray (one time they forgot to submit the request so not only did I have to wait 4 days from finding the scorpion but then I had to wait an additional 7 days for a pest spray). After finding the 4th scorpion they decided to do an "external treatment" which I had to call to find out about. Since the external treatment I have found 2 more. I have voiced my concern of finding 6 venomous creatures in my apartment only to get dismissed each time, "Oh we live in the desert, that's bound to happen." During my last conversation with the Office Assistant Manager she said she would look into the external treatment and get back to me, since then I have called 4 times, only to get sent to voicemail and not hear back. It has been over a week since I have left the FIRST voicemail asking for a return call and still haven't heard back. My next issue is that I have an alarm system in my apartment (before installing I got it approved by the office) and I asked them to put a note on my account that before maintenance enters my apartment they must call for permission, first for privacy reasons and second because my alarm will go off and alert the authorities. Needless to say that was never documented and maintenance entered my apartment before notifying me, setting off the alarm and alerting the authorities while I was at work.

Me and my roommates rent one of the 3 bedroom units. We all 3 have our own cars and were only assigned one spot for our 3 bedroom unit. There seems to be a lot of covered spot parking not in use. I know other apartments in the area allow you to pay extra (example San Lagos= $10) for additional parking spots. Last weekend due to all of the uncovered spots being occupied around the entire complex and I had to park at home depot and walk all the way back to my apartment at 9pm by myself which as a college girl makes me feel VERY unsafe. I emailed the property manager and all they could say was sorry for the inconvenience. My dryer was also broker when I moved in and every time I dry my clothes the lint trap comes lose and wraps around my clothes causing rips and hole. I also emailed the property manager about this and all they could say was it wasn't an emergency so they couldn't fix it at the time. Highly recommended.

Regardless of one bedroom apartments or three bedroom apartments, everyone does get assigned one covered parking spot. However, we don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable, we now have implemented a new policy where a tow truck will canvas the parking lots and remove vehicles that should not be parked in our community, every week. This new policy should help with parking. If there is no parking at the northside of the community, we would suggest to park at the southside community, which is right across the street. I am a current resident and I have currently been without water at my apartment for 7 hours. I received no notice that my water was being shut off and when I called the office the woman I spoke to said, "sorry we just found out he turned the water off and are unsure when it will be turned back on." She also informed me that she was about to send out an email informing us of the emergency shut off, but no email was ever received by me or any of the other tenants in this building. That was 7 hours ago and still no email or water. I have had to walk to the pool to use the bathroom and to just get a drink of water. This unfortunately is not the first indiscretion. I have woken up 2 other times with no water due to an "emergency shut-off" with no email notice or call. Every time I called the office about the lack of water in my apartment I always get the excuse, "sorry, we were about to send an email out about that." Those times I also never ended up receiving an email. I also had reported that my water heater was not working and would be without hot water for several days. I would call the emergency maintenance hot line on the weekends and no one would get back to me until Monday. This was also a repeat offense. It took me being without hot water for several days and them coming to "check" my heater 5 separate times over a few months until they FINALLY replaced it. Very happy I have a gym membership so I could shower. They have a lack of attention or care for their tenants. Over the summer months there also seems to be an increase in crime in the area. I found this out the hard way. My friends car was stolen from behind the gates, my bike (which was locked up) was taken apart piece by piece and stolen, and my car was vandalized. The office did nothing. They didn't warn us about the increase of crime, nor did they vamp up security. The apartments near by, San Lagos and San Prado, had the curtesy to send out an email to their tenants informing them about the increase in crime rate and advising them to be a little extra cautious. Wish Sage Stone had the same courtesy for their tenants. Clearly I would NOT RECOMMEND these apartments and WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY LEASE. If I could, I would move out tomorrow.

We have had to shut the water off for emergencies - this would include a main water line leak, water heater replacement, etc. We only shut the water off when absolutely necessary, and work hard to get it back on as soon as possible. Most of the time when we shut off the water, it is due to an immediate issue that needs to be repaired, that we had no knowledge of before. The Arrowhead area experienced an uptick in bicycle theft and vehicle vandalization; we did send out a few emails regarding this activity, as well as hosted an event with our local police officer liaison for our residents to ask questions and be involved in their community safety. Experiencing a lot of theft @ this time, bikes, cars, mischievous behavior, some police reports filed, miscellaneous items Taken from patio's even vandalism @ this complex!!! Most of the time gates are not WORKING ?? According to Tenants that live there, police have indicated the same problem tends to be on going ??
Don't waste your money here, there are much nicer "luxury" apartments out there. Management would rather spend money throwing "we care" parties than to actually fix things and follow through with what they say they will do. Not everything is bad of course, but the glaring issues you can readily see on the grounds do actually translate to a lack of attention to detail within the apts too. Loads of caulk and bad paint and grout, even in "upgraded" units. As other reviews here say, cleanliness is not important to the management or staff, still. If details matter to you, find a more peaceful place to live.
DONT rent here! Please check the police reports for this property. Theft is at an all time high because the management makes no safety precautions. People are having there windows smashed and vehicles are broke into in broad day light. There are loud party's all the time due to Collage students that attend the university across the street. There are unleashed dogs and dog attacks all the time. The rent after your first year is raised over $100.00 every year that you stay. This scam has been going on for years now from management which is Allie. The office also rights fake reviews on almost every website. They are very easy to spot from the real reviews. Almost all the real reviews have the same type of complaints and ratings for Sage Stone. I have yet to find another tenant that has NOT had the dishwasher ruin your dishes, which you will never get fixed by the office. If you live on any level you WILL hear the person that lives above you. That includes hearing them walk which sounds like a pounding sound, them flush there toilet, run there laundry washer or dryer, take a shower, vacuum, you can hear there air conditioner turn on, and pretty much every single thing else they will do above you. The pool is NEVER heated in the off months, but they like to tell you that it is heated. Its NOT! The only time the pool is warm enough to be in is in the summer time when the sun warms it. The hot tub is broke with caution tape around it about every week. Just in one section that I have noticed every day for 2 months that a dog station doesn't even have bags in it. There is dog feces every where. I have also seen several aggressive breeds of dogs on the property even though these dogs are said to be not allowed by management. The end result of this review is that the Management for this property has been and continues to be a bully to make all tenants comply to there demands of money or payment of false charges. If you complain or disagree with there disgusting treatment of tenants you WILL be bullied by both management and there cooperate office. Leaving you to only write reviews about what really happens or having to take some sort of legal action against them.
Sage Stone is a great place to live and here is why! Location/Neighborhood: -Easy access to 101, and I-17 -Near shopping, restaurants, and businesses - Near Small Town Coffee, plenty of Starbucks and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf -Near Thunderbird Conservation Area for hiking and plenty of golf courses to choose from in the area -Walking distance to Midwestern University for students, w/ reasonable rent relative to nearby apartments, close enough to campus to take good lunch break yet far away enough that it doesn't feel like you are across the street -Internet, Cable - CenturyLink Apartments/Community: -Outside areas are well maintained and kept clean -Apartment units are also well maintained and provide ample space -Noise is limited, there is a normal low level of noise one would expect with apartment living -Pet friendly and majority of tenants are good about cleaning up after pets and keeping them on leashes -Many Midwestern students make it their home while in school -Regular community events usually involving food and getting to know neighbors Management: -Super nice and always willing to help out their tenants -Really helpful and really works hard to help their tenants when issues arise -Maintenance crew is prompt about getting work orders completed and working with schedules -Communication - responses are prompt, notifications are given with plenty of time Overall has been a great place to live with little complaints.
We had an amazing experience signing a lease at Sage Stone. The area is quiet an clean and is in a gated community so we always feel safe. The staff has been extremely courteous and has gone the extra mile for us as we have been moving in. Rochelle from the leasing office had such a kind customer service approach that she positively impacted our decision to live here. Our apartment was extremely clean once we moved in and came upgraded with tons of storage space. We would definitely recommend this complex to other people
Well maintained complex. Close of Midwestern University so there are a number of students who should be graduate students and therefore more mature; however noise can sometimes become an issue.
Sage Stone Apartments is a great location for your new home. Close to the 101, I17 and I10, Sage Stone has easy access to shopping and restaurants and other area businesses. Sage Stone has two swimming pools, a business center, a fitness center and great common areas for relaxation and enjoyment all year round. Sage Stone holds community events all year round so residents can meet and greet their neighbors. Pets are welcome in all areas of the complex. Come to Sage Stone and enjoy a rewarding and relaxing apartment home.
Apartment complex is well maintained. When you need something fixed it is done promptly. The main drawback is there are a number of students who reside here since the complex is across the street from MidWestern University and they can be inconsiderate at times.
Poor quality appliances (Dishwasher ruined our dishes, still not working after 6 work-orders!! Poor sleep due to lots of noise from fountains that run all night, and poor-quality A/C installation (condensation drips 7 feet into the bathtub all day and night!). Look around before you rent, they only seem to keep the common areas clean in and around the model units and the clubhouse. We have alerted the staff to these conditions many many times, and they refuse to correct the most major problems in our experience.
