Property Ratings at Sailpoint Bay Apartments
We submitted a repair request to the Office and was told it could take a day or two to be done. But Anthony from maintenance arrived a few hours later the same day and fixed the issue. Anthony is fast, courteous, knowledgeable! The staff at Sailpoint Bay Apartments have always been friendly and courteous to us. We enjoy our home here at Sailpoint Bay.
The people here are so friendly. Maintenance is responsive and approachable and gals in office are great. My apartment is quit a bit larger than others I looked at. The big bonus is the river park and pool that's right on the water.
Zerooo stars ... they have mold and roaches they take long to fix things and to send pest control to your apartment when asked .... the attitude in the office is horrible...
I recently moved in to a 2 bed 1 bath. It was newly renovated. Everything is new. Move in went smoothly. Everyone was very nice. As a retired lady I feel this is home. I met other seniors here too and we play cards and do movie nights. Happy with my decision. Girls in office are very helpful. No issues just enjoying life.
Sailpoint Bay Apartments has been a gorgeous place to live. The property is very calm, They are remodeling all the first-floor apartments and they are turning out very nicely. The one bedroom floorplan that I have is so open, the floor plan is only 733 sqft but feels so much bigger. The office staff is very helpful when you have questions or have to put in a work order. Judy the property manager is always willing to help you out, She comes out with a smile on her face and also having a laugh with you. Overall Sailpoint Bay Apartments is amazing and has a wonderful lake view. I definitely say come stop by and take a look.
Nice place, great $ with cable & water. I like it.
We went to look at this community today, as it is in a great location and reasonably prices. The office staff could not be bothered to look up from their computers to greet us. When I asked about a one bedroom she said "no, we don't have any" and then just stared at me. It was very rude and awkward. So I asked if they had a waiting list and she said "no, we don't do that". I was so taken aback I didn't know what to say, so I asked if she had any two bedrooms as that was something I was considering. She said not until June. I realized it wasn't worth any more discussion as I don't want to live anywhere with such rude staff. She never asked me my name, if I wanted to take some information, introduce herself, offered to follow up if something became available, etc. It was very disappointing, as the location and price seemed good. But if they are that terrible to potential residents, I can't imagine how they are to current residents. No more shopping at CPS properties for me or my mother.
The apartments are ridden with various species of bugs ranging from cockroaches to bed bugs. All the neighbors are your average third class citizens of Daytona, be scared. The washing machine rooms are incredibly filthy. The air conditioning breaks often, very often. And the repair time is sometimes upwards of over a week. I advise you to spend your money else where. It is cheap, but its not worth the depressing, inhumane living conditions offered by Sail Point Bay.
Property Manager at Sailpoint Bay Apartments, Responded To This Review
Unfortunately, there are some units that become afflicted with pest infestations. These can be picked up from various sources especially if one or more residents has visitors or travels. Whenever an infestation is brought to management's attention it is remedied/rectified. Yes, we have an eclectic mix of people that reside here as the complex does not cater to any specific age group, familial status, race, gender, class, school/university enrollment status etc.—if you can qualify you can live here (as it should be). Air conditioners, as any other appliances, have a life span; since they do not last forever they may need to be serviced/repaired or replaced especially in Florida where the temperatures reach into the 100s as far as the heat index and they are forced to work very hard all day to keep the units cool. With appliances, repairs are often a matter of trial and error and multiple issues may be occurring at once but maintenance is never neglectful. If a third party company needs to be scheduled for a replacement or if a part needs to be ordered, as can be expected, it may take a few days. The conditions afforded to our residents, and some have lived here well over ten years, are far from “inhumane”. We expect our residents to take some responsibility of and pride in their place of residence to assist us in providing the best living conditions we can. Negative reviews with such false allegations are neither warranted nor appreciated. We apologize if you feel (IF you lived here under a lease) you were not afforded pleasant living conditions, but we are doing everything we can each day to make the property even better than it was before.
This place is conveniently located, close to the grocery store, downtown and highway without being in the heart. The grounds keepers really do try their best to clean up but unfortunately the residents sometimes don't clean up after their pets or leave their trash including beer cans and fast food bags outside. The trash compactor has worked in all but one occasion since living here but some folks don't dump their trash in it, instead they set it outside I'm not entirely sure why. The nights can be noisy and we've heard loud bangs (gunshots?) more often. Apartment is big but mine feels like the floor is giving out and I'm on the 2nd floor. The floor is paper-thin and the windows aren't sealed that well. The appliances have worked during my time here and I've never really had to contact the office other than for noise complaints. Upon sign in last November we were told the buildings were going to get a fresh coat of paint but bearly a year later nothing. These buildings need some attention and a community guard or security wouldn't be a bad idea to deter noise and rift raft. We won't be renewing the lease because given other places in the area we no longer feel this is the best bang for our buck. I would say consider this place but drive by and inspect the building/apartment you are going to live in in advance. I get the impression those living near the river have had a different experience.
This apartment is very nice and reliable. It has a beautiful view in the morning and the price is worth it.
The complex is like a retreat with a river view. The complex is centrally located but tucked away enough to make you feel alone. Walmart, Publix, CVS, and the college campuses are all within 5-15 minutes away. But when you sit by the river it seems like your miles away watching the sun glisten off of the water. Inside the apartments, the floorplans are spacious and the upgrades available are definitely worth the extra change. Maintenance is great with responding to your requests and the management is always willing to help if you get yourself in a bind. Yards and grounds tries to keep the place as clean as possible which is much appreciated. Overall the community is great and a good mix of people. They also except large and "aggressive" breeds which my awesome Pitbull and I appreciate along with the river front dog park ;)
Overall it is a reasonable rent with a great location. The apartment complex is right on the inlet...so you feel like going fishing you take a stroll to the water within the complex and live out your inner fisherman. It is right on beach street which is just minutes away from "Famous" Daytona Beach. It has two pools, a nice view and a friendly staff and cute little apartments. The negative is it is not very sound proof, so if it is loud outside you will probably hear 90 percent of it, but I would say if you a beach goer, Sailpoint Bay Apartments is a good place to check out.
we looked at these and were impressed at the size and the value. it was very quiet on the day we were there but it was mid-day on a week day. most places are quiet then. the staff and the property was very nice. well kept.we are still in limbo ( trying to sell our house ) would definately consider these apts if we could get one with a river view.
