I love living here. I love all the events and the employees. I can go to the market any time and get snacks. I can get free coffee whenever I want.
Salt was probably one of the worst experiences i e ever had. as a student at ASU, I was super excited to live at salt because of all its amazing amenities and location I saw online. I would never recommend living in this apartment to any ASU student, especially if you are younger because the staff will treat you like a child. I have had many ongoing issues and have tried to seek help from the staff upfront and they have been nothing but degrading and rude. I was also told that the construction at the complex was going to be done back in March. It is now almost November. I tried to move my units, because there were construction men looking into my apartment and i was told no and basically that I would have to deal with the problems that I was having. I have never been so excited to move out of an apartment in my life so if you’re thinking about living here, I would think twice before making that decision.

SALT is a great complex to live in. I have enjoyed my almost two years here and I am looking forward to more. Amenities are clean and always functioning, staff have always been friendly, and the apartment units themselves are beautiful. Compared to other apartment complexes in Tempe, SALT units are much more spacious and have upgraded appliances. The complex is located in an area where many things are easily accessible.

The lease was approved several weeks later than the date promised, and both me and my roommates garage door openers didn't work AND the code to get into the garage didn't work either. They have amended the situation though, and the actual place is nice.

When I first moved in I loved all the amenities and the location of SALT. It was great to be in between school and right on the water as well as being by mill. However, recently this last year with all the construction it has not been the ideal and hope that some progress is coming along.

My move in experience at SALT was the worst experience I’ve had in my 5 years of renting apartments in Tempe. If I could go back and not sign the lease, I would. I absolutely do not recommend renting at SALT.

The staff made it easy to move in and was very informative on every question I had. The location for me is hands down just excellent. The unit is excellent and better than I thought it would be. This has been ok e if my best moves ever just overall. The maintenance staff were quick to resolve any of my move in issues and were very friendly while doing it. Just an excellent place to live in my book.

If you work from home, do not move here. Construction noise is extremely loud throughout the entire building every week day and isn't expected to be complete till 2024. The complex is dirty, whether it be trash thrown in the garage or stacked up in the rooms. Dog pee and or poop can be found weekly inside the halls or stairs. The management here loves to send emails but does nothing else to enforce. Read your lease agreement as well, they will not let you find people to take your lease over if you hate it. They love to copy and paste the lease termination fee if you have any issues or want to leave. *AT LEAST READ THIS* I also took time to read some of the other responses to negative reviews and access to amenities has been limited for months and notifications are not sent to warn residents of noise. I had to cancel meetings because I literally couldn't hear. It's actually sad that Management is choosing to lie and cover their lack of professionalism and act like they care about the residents. Even apartment complex has their positives and negatives but SALT has been the absolute worst in almost every way.. aside from the maintenance crew, they are awesome.

We have been sending out emails to update all residents of the timeline of the increased noise and the specific time frames this noise will be taking place. Our intentions with the courtyard renovation were to have a positive impact on our residents and create a new and improved space that is able to be utilized. As for the hallways and stairwells we are currently taking a different approach with our janitorial service to ensure these effected areas are taken care of properly on a daily basis. If this approach does not sustain a clean and effective area throughout the hallways and stairwells we will change our approach. Our number one priority is our residents and we will continue to make changes to ensure each of our residents who call SALT home is happy. DON’T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF MOVING HERE! What you perceive is not what you get at all. And there is a reason so much promotions and inaccurate reviews being pushed out. As a resident who moved here recently, I was promised so many things that were all completely undelivered. First of all, the property is going through a MAJOR and BIG construction right now that will last over a year, so you can’t even sleep from the noise, have a sense of peace, or access the common areas. They say it’s a renovation but there is something else going on otherwise they wouldn’t tear the whole area down. It looks like a jail, seriously. So much sadness felt by the whole community and the management is doing nothing about it to support their residents. Instead of sympathizing with the residents and current situation, they told us to just live with it because we are entitled for nothing. And let me make sure to say that the walls are so thin so you can even hear the construction workers conversations not to mention the actual work and drilling. The work starts very early in the morning with no consideration of normal sleeping schedules. So basically they got the residents to pay them all that money just so they can enjoy nothing about the property and stay in their rooms all day long with no form of sympathy or compensation to the difficulties. All they care about is them living their best lives while their residents live in a suffering environment. The property has to be the most mismanaged complex I’ve ever seen. Start with the management who aren’t vigilant and turn side eyes about issues in the property. They don’t do morning walk arounds and ensure things are operating well. Leasing agents are almost always on their phones and hiding away from their offices so they don’t have to deal with residents instead of making sure the property is operating well. They are always away from their offices on weekends because the manger doesn’t work during the time. The common areas including the club house, the gym, pool and grill area. are almost always dirty and agents are too proud of paying attention to it. It became embarrassing to have friends over here. You have to go to the office physically and inform them “hey this is not working or this is not clean” they don’t have the power and leadership to go and test the area where residents utilize every day and think “Our residents might notice this not working or this is not clean”

Good Afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us while calling SALT home. I want to take a moment to sincerely apologize for your unpleasant experience with us thus far. Our number one priority is to ensure all of our residents are enjoying the community they choos e to call home. As it seems you have not been having a positive experience at all and we are here to change that immediately. Our courtyard renovation will be a 10-month project, within those 10 months there will be a couple of weeks where certain amenities will not be available. However, we will ensure we notify all of our residents as soon as we are aware of that time line. Currently the majority of the amenities are available, the courtyard pool, lake side pool, viewing deck, fitness center, club house, and dog park are available for use. The only amenity space that is not available for use is the left side of the courtyard. There are different access points to each amenity and we have sent out several emails with directions to those access points in the community. If you are still not certain how to access those amenities please reach out to us in the leasing office and we will show you where those are located. I have personally been working side by side with the team who are completing the renovation and they had ensured noise will not be louder than the air traffic (planes) prior to 8am. The work is being completed Monday-Friday to give all residents a break from the noise on the weekends. We have been sending out notifications on the days where noise will be louder to give the opportunity for each resident including yourself to be aware that the noise level will increase. We take great pride in working with our janitorial service to focus on the community's cleanliness on a daily basis. We currently have a janitorial service that is on property 7 days a week focusing on the amenities and hallways of SALT. Myself and the team walk the property every morning focusing on cleanliness, if there are specific areas that need extra attention, we immediately fix those issues. Additionally, last week we had the front entrance and all the stairwells professionally power washed. Summer is noted as \"busy season\" unfortunately this means that sometimes the team has to step away from their office to take a future resident on a tour, complete a move in, or assist a resident. During the week there is always someone from the team available in the leasing office. However, there are times on the weekends where both team members have to step away from their office to assist other individuals. If you ever have an urgent matter and we are not available in the office, please feel free to give us a call and leave a voicemail. We will take the time to give you a call back and help with your questions you may have. Lastly when the team has indicated to leave a review, we never propose the idea that is has to be positive. We would love all of our reviews to be positive but we understand that sometimes there are concerns that need to be addressed. This is probably the worst place I have lived in and I am very happy to finally get out after living there for 2-1/2 years. Security is nonexistent. The garage door is left open all day and most nights. My catalytic converter was stolen, and my car was broken into a few times from the “secure” garage in the middle of the night and SALT management refused to take any responsibility for this happening. There are no cameras in the garage, so no footage was available. However, they do have cameras to catch tenants violating rules so they can fine you but no cameras to catch thieves stealing personal property. A person was shot while I was coming back from walking my dogs, blood all over the hallway and a body on the floor. Police took me away from the scene and again, SALT management refused to explain what had happened. The storage unit I had rented flooded and was full of rodents that destroyed my stored property and again SALT management refused to take any responsibility. The hallways are full of dog urine, the stairways have dog poop, and it stinks like weed everywhere. I put many requests to clean the hallways and stairways and the pee and poop remained for months in the same locations. Instead, they placed air fresheners all over to conceal the smells, which made the stink unbearable. The dog run is filthy and never gets cleaned. The areas around the building are filled with trash and dog waste and also never get cleaned. Fire alarms go off in the middle of the night. Elevators never work and are always being repaired. Seems that they put in cheap elevators, and garage doors that always fail. The pools and hot tubs are often broken and shut down. During my 2-1/2 years their management changed 4 times. You can never follow through about any issues because new management takes over. Finally, I spent many hours cleaning and repairing the apartment to leave it as best I could…getting my deposit money back will not happen due to “unexplained” reasons. They call themselves “luxury” apartments and hike up the prices but there is nothing luxurious about living there…on the contrary it is hell.

The apartment complex is beautiful, there has been alot of turnover in the front office. But each old and new staff member I met has been helpful, very professional and accommodating based on the issues I had with the thief of my bike and break in into my storage unit. However, it continues, I don't like that the storage area entrance door is always broken when I go down to get items from my unit. It doesn't seem secure enough for me and I'm not sure why I am charged monthly for this service if I have to worry about another break-in. On a positive note, maintenance has responded in a timely manner to all my unit issues, and were able to resolve each issue. Thank you!

There has been some shift in the staff however we are all here for the long haul and to ensure that we are doing what we can to make Salt the best it can be. As for the storage we are currently working with a vendor to replace the doors immediately and resolve any issues that have ever arose. I've been here for about four years, this property is on their second management company, and within this management company alone, they've rotated about four different management teams. They do a horrible job of building and maintaining relationships throughout the property. Every year this property gets a lot of roaches. Sure, "be by the lake," at what cost though?

I have been at Salt since 2019 and have seen a tremendous amount change. All of it for the better of the community and this is why i just renewed my lease for another 12 months. The community is truly beautiful and the office staff is great to work with. I have not had many issues in my apartment but when i have the service team is quick and kind.

From the front office staff to the beautifully maintained property grounds, SALT is an amazing place to live so far. The apartments have excellent sound dampening, so it is pretty quiet. Last night we used the grills and ate dinner overlooking the sunset on Tempe Town Lake. Such a lovey experience. Leasing staff is amazing, too. Friendly and helpful. Parking is plentiful as well - never have had an issue finding a spot. Usually we get super close to the elevators. Overall, this is the best apartment community weve lived at (this is #7). When we moved to Tempe we made the right choice with Salt. We love the fact that it has underground parking with plenty of parking. The units are fresh and clean and really well taken care of. The maintenance is on point. They come fast, and they are professional and efficient, they even come to change the light bulbs! The office staff are friendly and helpful and they are always there when you need them. I love that they have package lockers and dry cleaning services. The gym, pool and community room are so well taken care, the cleaners are here daily and everything is kept looking new.

I have a lake view loft and its the best view in Tempe. Property has recently changed management and went through renovations. It was nice they did it during COVID since everything was already shut down. Place is great and i do enjoy my neighbors.

Awesome place with really great amenities. Can be difficult finding the place since the side road to the complex has no name. Parking in the front is limited too but not sure that can be changed. I had a great tour when i visited and I did not lease since i really wanted a loft apartment and Salt was sold out. Not surprised the place is really nice and when i toured it was extremely busy. There were 3 girls working in the office i toured with Jae (she was great!) and it felt like they needed 3 more people with how busy they were. I recommend making an appointment like I did because if not you may not get a tour with how high demand people were wanting to apply. If a loft apartment comes available when I move I am definitely moving to Salt.

I have been living here for a couple of years and love the property. The property is very clean and Kelly is amazing. I originally toured with Chad and the experience was ok and than had an issue with my rent and met Kelly for the first time. She has great customer service and is very thorough in explaining stuff. I generally go to her if i need anything, not because of anyone else in the office since everyone I have met is happy and greets you when your in lobby but because she is just my go to person. The property went through a recent renovation and the place is amazing. I recommend Salt to anyone looking for a place.

I first viewed the apartment complex with Marissa from the leasing office and I just fell in love with this place! Moved in a few months ago and have not had a single bad experience. The complex is beautiful and the amenities are awesome. The staff at the leasing/maintenance offices are very nice and are quick to help with anything. I submitted a maintenance request that was addressed the very same day! Every month their resident events and they are always a blast. Very glad we moved here!

I recently just renewed my lease because it's hard to find another place as good as this. Maintenance as well as office staff is always professional and quick to help with anything you need. The only issue I have is my downstairs neighbor is constantly complaining about noise because this structure isn't designed very noise proof. I can hear conversations and everything all the time which doesn't bother me. However it does bother them and they bang on their ceiling (my floor) which just makes my dog freak out and make more noises. I also walk very lightly and do what I can to be quiet but to no avail. I work mornings and nights and get home late, but I can't help that. Since this isn't the offices fault I still give them 5 stars because they're so friendly and great all around it wouldn't be fair to judge them on something they can't control. As for my neighbor or anyone who doesn't like noises from apartments, it's an apartment that's part of living in one. Keep that in mind!
