Back in the 1950s, Port Saint Lucie was uninhabited, aside from a few farms and a fishing camp. That changed rapidly, especially during the 2000s, when this coastal gem went from hidden to hot -- so much so that its population overtook that of Fort Lauderdale and is now roughly 180,000 residents. The "why" is fairly easy -- Port Saint Lucie features 21 miles of pristine beaches along Florida's east coast and it is the spring training home of the New York Mets. Add in the tropical climate, the golf courses, and its easy access to I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, and there's plenty to love about Port Saint Lucie.
Situated between Fort Pierce to the north and Jupiter Island to the south, your Port Saint Lucie apartment will provide easy access to several popular destinations. But with so much to do in Port Saint Lucie, you may not want to venture far from home.

Property Ratings at Sanctuary at Winter Lakes
DO NOT COME AND LIVE HERE DO NOT, if I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD. Constant flooding, dishwasher making the house smell AC constantly not working. It takes days for them to actually send someone to fix something and then the worker they send doesn't do anything but walk around, take pictures and do nothing. Mold all over the walls I've lost a bunch of clothing due to mold on closet walls. Flying ants, roaches crawling around but them not sending pest control. Constant fines over petty stuff but as landlords they're not providing safe housing for their tenants. CAN’T WAIT TILL WE MOVE OUT.
I've lived here for over two years. Would not recommend to anyone. Used to be great place to live, however staff has not kept up on maintaining repairs. Parking lot lights out leaving it dark and unsafe; pool is dark green and has been closed for over 6 months and internal repairs in my apartment have not even been attempted to be repaired and it's going on 9 months since I submitted repair list, over 6 times already. Very disappointing at this point!
Ive live here since january of 2013 and it has been a great experience, like all other apartments there are minor issues, but all the positives outweigh those issues, for instance, maintenance is always on time, they don't go in your apartment without your approval, not to mention the staff in the leasing office are tremendous, always willing to help and very courteous. I enjoy living here because it's what i can afford as i take this journey to becoming a nurse and improve my life...PS satisfied Sanctuary at Winterlakes resident
Its a cool place to stay. I move here at the end of 2008 in the 1 bdrm when i got married. It was my 1st place and a great starter place, view was great. Rent is affordable. The front view, lake view or road view of apartments are the best. I moved into a 2 bdrm Dec 2012 to current, for more room 2 kids later. But this time I 'm facing the woods. I don't mind. Its keeps the apartment cooler. but did have a spider issue when we moved into the 2bdrm because of the woods we believe. But there's onsite maintenance, gym, pool and crime watch at complex. And schools and shopping within close distance. I love the area and when we move into a home its most likely going to be in the same area.
