Between Jupiter and West Palm Beach sits the city of Palm Beach Gardens, a suburban community just minutes inland from the coastline. The Gardens Mall is one of the main focal points of the city, which draws shoppers from all around the region. The numerous golf courses are also quite popular with locals and visitors alike.
The local schools perform quite well, and numerous attractions like the Playmobil Fun Park cater specifically to children, adding to the appeal for families. Nowhere in town is more than thirty minutes from the beach, and water-centric activities like boating, fishing, and surfing are common pastimes. Interstate 95 connects Palm Beach Gardens to the outside world, making it easy to traverse South Florida quickly and reach Miami within ninety minutes.

Property Ratings at Sanctuary Cove
Did a blind move and found Sanctuary Cove in West palm beach on the internet. I was worried about not being able to see the apartment until I moved in. The office ladies were wonderful and answered all my questions in a very friendly manner. When I arrived I was so surprised to see that the apartment was as good as you see in the pictures. The rooms are spacious and the roman tub in the main bathroom is glorious. The little private beach is beautiful and the views are amazing. Everyone I have met walking around the walking path are friendly and welcoming. This is the best apartment I have ever lived in. If you are looking to relocate to the Pam beach area i FULLY and COMPLETLEY recommend choosing Sanctuary Cove as your new home.
Management is very poor. Every time we went for any sort of assistance we were met with sarcastic, disrespectful responses. Specially from Monica, instead of assisting and being helpful, she is not only useless but has no professionalism whatsoever. When we moved in the apartment was infested with German roaches, both the ac and the water heater did not function. There was a putrid smell coming from the kitchen sink. Regardless, we decided to stay. However, at the moment of our lease end, we were not given a notice until it was almost a month out of our lease expiration. And they wanted to raise the rent by about 1k, keep in mind maintenance has to be called once a month because of all the constant issues. Don't move here unless you want to deal with useless, unprofessional people and you like German roaches all over the apt.
4:00 am I woke up to an entirely flooded unit (every room!!!). Called the 24 hour emergency service for 2 hours. No response. Had to shut breakers off because of electrical power cords under water. Sat in a dark unit with no AC calling the emergency line for 2 hours. Had yo wait another hour for maintenance and another hour for remediation. And they only sent 1 person. Rents were jacked up over 40% and you can’t even get emergency service in a true emergency. Oh and the management does not turn off water in vacant units leaving occupied units vulnerable to these types of incidences.
My daughter lives here currently, and I’m so grateful her lease ends soon. Major issues with cockroaches/pests inside apartments (management has tried to help with this). Cigarette butts on the ground littered everywhere. The buildings have thin walls so you can hear the neighbors walking around or flushing their toilets 24/7. Very sharp and dangerous rocks on their small private beach. Very rude management. The list goes on and on. The location is great, but the living conditions are not.
if you live on the back part of the community, forget about using the pool, the pool is never cleaned, the pool is always full of leaves. Any attempt to get it cleaned will be met with, lip service. The place is never cleaned, after a small storm, leaves and trees were left out for weeks. The gym is a joke. don't move here.
I've been living in this community since May of 2018 and have learned many lessons to utilize during my next apartment hunt. When I chose this community over the others, the dense landscape and trees are mainly what appealed to me. After moving in, I learned that the exterior landscape and show unit from the tour are no representative of the actual living space and community. I chose one of their renovated units, but was disappointed by the low quality of the renovation upon move in. The walls and molding were poorly painted, cabinet door un-level, moldings were even missing in some placed and separating from the wall in others. My air conditioner malfunctioned and stopped working almost weekly, after about six months the condenser coil was finally replaced due to my complaints. At this community, you will pay for pest control even though the pests are abundant. Ants were constantly coming in and gathering by the front door; I once went to the office to ask then to remedy it and was told that I should buy some bug spray. I highly recommend that you visit their "newly renovated" fitness center when you come to visit. It is occupied by twenty year gym equipment, half of which is broken or out of service. They can't even bother to replace the old exercise bikes which probably haven't turned on it years. A couple months ago they posted that the gym was closed for renovations. When it reopened, they had finally replaced the moldy and dangerous carpeting covering the floors. I guess this is what they consider a fitness center renovation. Disappointing is an understatement.
Beyond any doubt the worst place I have ever lived! First off, there is MOLD EVERYWHERE! When I first moved in, there was mold on the walls, in the air vents, in the dish washer, and all the windows were covered with mold. The air conditioning ducts were installed so poorly and the unit is so undersized for the units, that the a/c has to run constantly just to keep the temperature below 80 degrees in the unit (and this is in the winter months as well). So not only are you miserable inside the unit, but your energy bills are outrageously high. Couple that with the fact that there are no ceiling lights in any of the bedrooms (aside from the light coming from the master bathroom), and you have to have lights on just to walk around in the place. Also, you will hear your neighbors all day and night. The walls and ceilings are extremely thin. You can hear entire conversations of people talking at a normal volume, plus you will hear EVERY SINGLE FOOTSTEP above your head. Moving here was the worst decision I have ever made, and I'm trying to save you from the same mistake.
Iv been here for 3 months already and am not happy with any of this. The management office is by far the rudest people I’ve met. They refuse to replace my rioted out A/C unit even though my electric bill is very high especially not being home so much. Next there are bugs and there pest control is a Joke!! Also starting December 1st they are raising all rent by 9% and that’s just for Garbage, water & pest control. Yea 9% just for that....
Property Manager at Sanctuary Cove, Responded To This Review
We are very sorry with the dismay that you have expressed with our community. Our communication about the water bill fee change might have been confusing on our end. The change is 9% of the water bill and not 9% of your rent. Please call the office to speak the Manager, Diedre, and she would be more than happy to explain the change in billing as well as go over any additional concerns you may have at 561-775-8680. We want you to be very satisfied in your home. Best Regards, Sanctuary Cove Management/OlenLiving
Very conveniently located off Prosperity Farms Rd, near PGA Blvd, with views of the intracoastal from a private beach. The office staff is very friendly and attentive to all of your needs. The community is quiet, and the apartment is quite spacious. My elderly father lives here and they look out for him, which gives me added piece of mind, since I live out of state. When I come for a visit, I am very comfortable staying in his "sanctuary."
My wife and I moved in Dec 2012. The property caters to your enjoyment . From the private beach , the tennis court , we equipped work out room , to the acres of property right on the intercostal with two very nice pools, the back pool is on the water ;) The office staff is absolutely the BEST , they really do care about you and make living here even more special. The property is just minutes from beautiful Singer Island , the PGA Gardens Mall, and tons of great shopping, restaurants and golf. Hop on I 95 and in 10 min your at West Palm Beach intl airport. Living at Sanctuary Cove is like living in your own nature preserve . The apartments are well equipped and spacious bath tubs in both bathrooms , huge kitchen with a sit down bar to entertain and the buildings are very quiet. we never hear our neighbors. You will love it here , it feels more like living in an upscale condo .....
I lived at Sanctuary Cove for almost four years. The apartment complex is located conveniently located between PGA Blvd, Northlake Blvd, US-1 and Alt. A1A. It takes 10 minutes to the beach - less to various supermarkets (Publix, Greenwise, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Total Wine). The I-95 and Turnpike are also close. The complex itself features its own mangrove coves, two swimming pools (one heated, one with a depth of more than 6ft at one end), a hot tub, a fitness center in the club house and various pick-nick grills throughout the development. There is also a private beach on the intracoastal waterway. While this may not be too inviting for a swim, it is a great hangout to fish, BBQ or watch the Christmas boat parade (for which the complex actually throws a party for residents). There is sufficient parking close to the apartments. The apartments are accessible through concrete stairwells outside the buildings. The landings can be used by the residents, which is very convenient. The apartments have a great layout and feel spacious. The maintenance responds usually very quickly - and has definitely improved. A couple of years ago there must have been a transition in the maintenance employees, because for a few months the service was terrible. But that is in the past now. If I were moving back to the area, I would chose Sanctuary Cove again.
"I live in Sanctuary Cove. For me, this place is the perfect combination of natural preserved spaces with a lot of green and our own access to a peaceful private beach. It is close to the Downtown Gardens, the Gardens Mall, the Library, the post office and organic and regular supermarkets. It is 10 minutes away from Juno beach and very close to an amazing variety of great restaurants. Also,it has an easy access to I-95 and the Turnpike. The apartment is comfortable and the rental office is very efficient and helpful. I have been living here for almost five years and always have found a quick solution whenever I had have any maintenance problem. Also, they have fun activities at the club house every month. And once a year I have a prime spot to enjoy the boat parade in December. i really like this place".
The living space and the amenities are simply wonderful!
This apartment and community has been my sanctuary for 6 plus years. Sanctuary Cove Apartments stands alone in comparison to other communities. Perfectly located near Interstate I-95, Military Trail, US Highway 1 and PGA Boulevard and just minutes for the Atlantic Ocean. If you don't want to walk to the ocean or drive you can always walk to your private white sandy beach directly on the coastal lagoon, that is lined with boats and yachts of every size, that flows directly past the North Palm Beach Country Club, North Palm Beach (NPB) docks to the Atlantic. The lush manicured landscape make me think we are at the infamous Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach. We are close to gourmet and casual restaurants, Palm Beach Gardens Mall, marinas, water sports of all kinds, several universities, and Museums and Arts, and in the heart of the Professional Golfers Association (PGA). Florida is the golf capital of the nation and Palm Beach Gardens is the heart of the PGA. After a day out on the town you return home to a beautiful, impeccable, peaceful apartment that is kept in perfect condition. You can enjoy all the amenities necessary for luxury living. You have two temperature controlled swimming pools, a more than adequate gym, activity room, lighted tennis courts, beautiful tropical Club House and patio cabanas. BBQ grills (gas and charcoal) are lavishly distributed around the residence, pools and waterside picnic area. Sanctuary Cove Apartments is located in a premium location attractive to whole life living for families of all types and ages, single families, retired, senior living, active single or young married. For a large and well designed Florida living residence that has everything a person or family could want. It is so well designed, I often forget I have neighbors. I feel I have the whole place to myself. "My sanctuary." which I can't tell you how important that is to me. It is a community that represents the best Florida has to offer. I believe anyone would be happy here. However, you can find more expensive apartments but you'd be hard pressed to find one at the rates that even come close to all you receive. Apples to apples Sanctuary Cove can't be beat. I love it here. Even when I was still working, I often feel like I'm on vacation or already retired when I drive in the entrance and park my car directly in front of my apartment that feels like a home. Sandra W.
