Although surrounded by inhospitable desert, Phoenix is one of the largest cities in the United States, and the nation’s single largest state capital city. The area contains numerous galleries and museums, putting the people in contact with everything from the European masters to Native American craftsmanship to modern originals from Phoenix’s diverse artistic community. The Downtown cultural scene has developed into a top-notch feast of visual and performing arts, with symphony performances, live theater, and the popular First Friday exhibitions. Phoenix is also an excellent city for sports fans, being one of the few cities in America with local franchises in the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL. Several thousand students attend the two Arizona State University campuses in the city, as well as the over-50,000 who attend the main campus in neighboring Tempe.

Property Ratings at Sanctuary on 22nd
Don’t live here. Every time there’s something wrong in the apartment they will take forever to fix it. Front office people are so RUDE and will talk down on you. IDK if they know what customers service is or what. But its beyond bad. Water is always out too! Too much problems when you move.
Do you know the feeling of sitting next to a screaming baby on an airplane? Living here is just that but everyday all the time and the grounds are covered in garbage. Also good luck ever trying to contact the front office usually they just open whenever they feel like it. Btw if you're reading I beg you not to move in here. Like seriously do not move here if you value your wellbeing. There are roaches and you can not stop them because even if you are the cleanest person to ever exist you will still get roaches due to the grounds never being cleaned as well as neighbors. Also odds are the five star reviews are probably people who have been paid or bots because this place is not 5 stars. The water has been turned off every other week for roughly a month now. If you enjoy taking morning showers consistently I would not move here. I hope you are okay with letting them keep your security deposit because Connie and gang will hold onto it even if you call everyday for a month. It feels like they're personally offended that you would want your money back.
The apartment complex has gone through multiple management companies over the years I've been here. Every one of the managers has not been great, but latest one is the worst. Water is constantly being shut off for emergency repairs. Gate has been broken for months. Facility cameras that have a monthly fee that's included in my rent don't work (with apartment around me and car getting stolen - management didn't care). Now the leasing office is changing their hours of operation to not include Saturday.
I told them I was going to wait to post but it’s getting more and more insane. I moved in mid July; it’s end of September, they’ve gone through 3 management companies. I moved from out of state, not my first time renting here though. It took 4 of us 5 hours to clean the apartment before I could even move in! The stove took another 3 hours to scrub!!! There’s still a ton that needs to be cleaned. The amount of broken things is long! Can’t stand too close to the railing on the balcony it’s barely hanging on. Both tubs are peeling. Half the outlets don’t work. One guy said to bend all my prongs (doesn’t work when the outlet doesn’t have power). There’s a big hole in the second bedroom floor. Dishwasher sucks and stained. The pot residue I had to clean!! They offered such a small compensation that if I were charged wouldn’t cover even half the cleaning bill, or the fact I paid more for the U-Haul and movers for pushing back. Lol I pushed back my move in date and still nothing was ready! I loved this place before I had to move to help out my grandparents, but man did it go downhill. I have a feeling I’ll have to start this process of being compensated all over again and again it’s going to be pathetic. OH! They’ll keep my whole deposit though when I move out. The manager was the one that I signed the contract with, she knows how bad it was. But I don’t think she cares anymore. I’d you see reviews talking about a Connie, that’s the newest manager. Unless you live for a drama filled renting experience where nothing is cleaned or fixed, this is for you. Otherwise I’d stay away. I know for a fact that this review is going to cause major issues. But I have receipts. I’ll keep posting them on every platform.
Can't stand people blaring their music for hours or loudly running their mouths until after midnight in the pool area. I specifically asked when I first did a tour if music was allowed in the common areas and was told no, yet they do it all the dang time. Like now, at 9:30pm as I type this-there' music from the pool area. So not likely to recommend without at least warning people of that.
Based on the maintenance service, I would absolutely recommend this community. Other factors related to service caused me to lower the score.
Its a great and safe and beautiful
It' lovely and affordable as well as the service we receive is amazing.
A caring staff that responds promptly to our needs makes this a wonderful place to live.

My roommate and I looked at the sanctuary on 22 on 02/06/2019 we fell in love! They didn’t have a two bedroom to show so we were very proactive in calling and coming into the physical office. Unfortunately we were told lies that the apartment would be ready to view numerous days though out the month but it never happened. We wanted the move in date the 1st of March and they assured us it would be available by then. Like most we do not want to rent without seeing the apartment so we keep calling and asking it was never available. Now today it’s unavailable and rented out when we have be ready for a MONTH. Unprofessional doesn’t even begin to describe this apartment complex. This was the WORST apartment experience ever. Buyer beware.
Our A/C unit has been out for 12 days now in the middle of summer. I keep putting in request forms to have it fixed and they keep checking it as a completed project however here I am still 12 days later with no A/C. They gave us a portable unit which is great but we can only use it when we are in the home because you have to open a window to let the unit vent out hot air. Trust me you don’t want to keep your window open in this neighborhood I had my car broken into in November of last year and just two months ago someone stole the copper pipes controlling the water for the complex. These pipes were just outside of our apartment and that incident nearly flooded our apartment. Thankfully we had a neighbor who was a plumber and he was able to shut it off while the maintenance guy was standing there trying to figure out which knob to turn.
This place sucks. When we movr in they say they don't have bed bugs and make you sign something saying that if you get them you have to pay. Well everything in our apartment was new when we move in, two months after the guy below us has bed bugs and then we go them. We have been dealing with this for 3 months and still getting bites. Our clothes are in garbage bag in the balcony. They take for ever to fix whatever is broken. Can't wait for my lease to end
I have been living in my complex for almost a year now. My first apartment had huge permanent stains in the carpet (which I always had it wear shoes)and a leaky air conditioner that sat right outside of my room. Maintenance couldn't Fix it so I had to deal with getting dripped every time I walked pass and had to place a towel outside of my room door for several months. When I upgraded apartments I thought I was going to be in the clear, only now I deal with constant roaches that have been "taken care of" 3 times and yet they still exist no matter how couch I clean. My refrigerator has disgusting, rotting mold and rust and leaks nasty water into all that is in it and maintenance can't fix it and won't replace it. My air conditioner also leaks and doesn't blow cold air. It amazes me that they are putting so much money into the outside appearance to lure more people in but won't and or can't fix the inside problem.Yet I pay more in rent for this apartment. I cannot wait until my lease is up!
This is a great apartment complex, very clean, great staff, close to shopping and the light rail. It is 5 minutes away from Metro Center or Christown. Close to the 1-17 freeway as well. It has 2 pools, a fitness center and a business center.
