Property Ratings at Sanctuary Place
After 10 yrs in our home we were surprised with a 30 day notice. Our house sold in Hebron to an investor. My first priority was my 3 girls to stay in Conner Schools. Angel in the office assured me we would love it here and our girls would too. 3 bedroom is huge and we have garage. She has made our stressful situation into something positive. Kids playing, friends at pool and overall I know if I need something the staff goes above your expectations. Great schools and really nice property upkeep.
I lived there for 2 years...and in the second year the amount of Dog crap and litter that was left was amazing. The office did nothing about either. I decided to buy a house and gave my appropriate notice. I moved out 2 months and 5 days before my lease was up. I gave my keys over 1 month and 5 days before the end of the lease. I paid the rent for Dec., Jan. and 5 days in Feb. to fulfill my lease. They rented the apartment out in Jan and collected rent from new tenant for that month and the 5 days I paid.Double rent...great for them. Now they want me to pay a water bill for Dec. that is as much as the last water bill I paid while living there in Nov. They apartment was vacant. They kept my deposit for the rug and said it was dog damage. I did see one stain I knew would be there from an accident. But not the others. It was normal stains. The new Manager who came there from Wal Mart informed me she had been doing this a long time and knew they were all pet stains even though they looked totally different. Do they have pet stains at Wal Mart? Also what did I pay $25 dollars for my dog fee each month go to? Just beware when renting here...before you sign your lease pull up your carpet to make sure there are no stains. Go over everything. Get an emotional support document from your Dr to get around paying the pet fees..apparently many do. Good Luck!!!!
I have lived here for 2 years now, and have really enjoyed this community. Quiet and well-kept. Our 2 bdrm apt has a ton of space and storage.
Our two bedroom, two bath apt is great! Tons of space, two huge closets, and additional storage on our large balcony. Pretty quiet and staff is good to work with.
I am providing this review because once again, we have received great service from the staff here. We have been here for almost a year and it just keeps getting better! A beautiful property, clean and well maintained. The apartment is the most spacious 3 bedroom we have seen. The location is great; the closest to the airport, near stores, and right by the 275. Yet it has a private, almost secluded feel to it. Best of all, the management and maintenance staff are exceptionally great! They respond quickly, most often the same day. And they are genuinely nice while always showing professionalism. We really love it here! As long as we are renting, we will stay here and only leave when we buy a house.
Lived here for 2 years and found it safe, friendly, and a good value. Large rooms and easy parking. Thanks to the office staff and maintenance for their help and efficiency!
We moved in a few months ago, and we absolutely love it here! The ladies in the office are so friendly and helpful. It is such a great location - I can walk to my work! And the interstate is very close, so it is in the perfect spot! My apartment is HUGE!! We have so much storage space. The apartments are not completely sound-proof, but it does stay pretty quiet back here. Well worth the money!!
We have lived in Sanctuary Place apartments for just over 2 years total. We have lived in two separate apartments there. The first time we moved out, we were in the process of buying a house and had to break our lease. We wound up paying just about a quarter of our actual rent to cover the break in the lease until the time someone else moved in. That was no big deal. However, when the house fell through and we decided to move back in (big mistake), I completely remembered why we wanted to move away in the first place. The maintenance people take forever to get back to you and fix whatever is wrong, the office staff NEVER answers the phone. I called three times one day after I had driven by the office to see if someone was there, yet no one answered the phone. The only way I have ever been able to communicate with anyone in the office was by email or in person. Snow removal in the complex is ridiculous. Over a week after the last snowfall, there is still patches of ice on the sidewalks, the main sidewalk was never cleared off at all and children use that sidewalk to get to the bus stop. There is ice all over the parking area as well. Their snow plow consists of a golf cart with a small plow attached to it, all this does is make it worse because it packs the snow down and makes the roadway very slippery. Also, when we lived in a much larger house, I never saw a $70 water/sewer bill. The water/sewer is run by a place out of Ohio rather than the Boone County water district and I think this is why prices are higher. Electric bills are outrageous in the winter because there is always a draft from the windows and doors causing the heat to run constantly. I really want to break my lease again, even though it just renewed, but I do not want to keep paying rent until the apartment is leased again, for a lower price than what I am currently paying.
If you're looking for an apartment in the Hebron KY area... DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER SANCTUARY PLACE. When I was shown the apartment, I had my credit checked to see if I was going to be approved, as well as evaluate what I needed to save. I received a phone call the same day from one of their associates, they said my credit was fine and I only owed a $100 deposit, first month's rent and the three days in June pro-rated (I moved in June 28th). Today, ONE DAY BEFORE I START MOVING IN, they call me and tell me I owe TWO MONTHS RENT UP FRONT. They begin to explain that "corporate" e-mailed them and said blahblahblahBLAHBLAH. I DON'T CARE WHAT CORPORATE SAID. ONE OF YOUR LACKEYS TOLD ME DIFFERENT. Their local office won't honor the original deposit, they won't even meet us halfway. Corporate is being called tomorrow to figure SOMETHING out, because this is incredibly unprofessional and SHADY business practice. TL;DR - SANCTUARY PLACE ENGAGES IN POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE AND DOESN'T DO ANYTHING TO SERVE THE CLIENT. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
Online and at our first visit we were told the price, however when my husband signed th contract he didn't realize it 20.00 more than the original quote.. Even though we showed them the price online, they said "the lease is signed already". Ethics?
I think the place is an awsome place to live, however when it comes time to renew your lease they will always increase it even though they are advertising the same apartment on craigs list for $30 per month less. I wouldnt be upset if they were just honest about the whole thing but they continue to lie. All they have to do is add in the fine print that its for new renters only. I think its a joke that when I leave someone will get my apartment for less than what Im paying. I would have been happy to sign a new lease if they would have offered me the same deal.
Property Manager at Sanctuary Place, Responded To This Review
I HAVE JUST READ ALL OF THE REVIEWS ON LIVING @ SANCTUARY PLACE,,,,SOUNDS LIKE EVERYONE HAS HAD AN ISSUE,,,ESPECIALLY WITH MANAGEMENT. I NOW AM REALLY NOT INTERESTED IN THESE APTS. WHICH IS A SHAME BECAUSE THEY LOOK LIKE A VERY CLASSY & CLEAN COMMUNITY.
