Property Ratings at Sand Creek Woods
I have been living here for 2 years and they are excellent! Everything has been recently updated and the buildings have been painted recently. You can tell the staff take pride in taking care of community. They are also very fast to respond to maintenance calls. I would highly recommend this place especially to first time renters.
Well managed and maintained. Quick to respond to and resolve maintenance issues. For example, fridge not working and installed new same day. AC not working and fixed same day before I got home from work. Accommodating and understanding. Will be an easy decision when it comes time to renew the lease for 3rd year.
Before selling our house and moving to Indiana to be near relatives we spent considerable time exploring the Internet to find an apartment suitable for our needs. Additionally, we compiled a list of places for our grandson to do some preliminary winnowing prior to our in-person visit. Sand Creek Woods Apartments made the short list. When we visited the site and saw the model of the space we wanted with all its amenities, there was no comparison to the other sites we had seen in Fishers, Carmel, and Zionsville. The landscape was well manicured and the external facade well maintained. We were sold. But as they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Since the day we moved in, the management personnel have treated us with respect and cordiality. As one who owned a residence for over 50 years I am well aware that things can go wrong. Every time we experienced an issue and informed management the matter was taken care almost before we hung up the phone. I can't praise the maintenance personnel enough because of their professionalism and assistance in avoiding problems in our hanging mirrors and pictures, as well as making physical accommodations for our needs. I have signed a lease for a third year. As a retired HR management professional I appreciate the importance of proper employee selection. Having lived here 1.5 years I would never recommend this place. Moving from a worse neighborhood in an Indy apartment I expected the more expensive Fishers complex to be better. On the surface it looks nice but it’s a mirage. The insulation is so bad that heat is like $400 a month. The construction grade windows get mold on them in winter because of so much condensation on the poor quality windows. Packages are not accepted in the office. Mail carrier doesn’t deliver to the door. The parking lot has tiny spots jam packed together. Handicap parking is an unmonitored free for all. The maintenance is quick and fixes things fast. The office staff is more worried about making sure you are nice to them then fixing issues. They take no accountability for anything. They’d rather you think you are alone in your issues than address them. They believe saying it’s out of their hands is an acceptable response to most things. If you have complaints record your phone convos or they will say they didn’t happen. Do one complaint at a time or they only remember 1 thing. So keep in mind higher prices, nicer neighborhood and nice counter tops doesn’t mean a better living experience. If I could afford to move again I would tomorrow. Rent keeps going up while complex stays the same or gets worse.
The property is absolutely beautiful with walking path a plus.. 1. Well first of all Property Manager - 2020 -2021. Very unreasonable. Ran the property like military base. Showed favoritism towards certain occupants. 2. The electric bills in Spring and Summer very reasonable. 926 FT apartment. However come fall and winter be prepared to be shocked. Clearly there is an issue somewhere and it is not the meter as I had mine replaced. Bills run from $240.00 to $398.00 "A MONTH." So rent maybe reasonable but not in the long run. 3. Carpeting stays in the same unit for 4 years - and they will prorate and charge you wear and tear if it is not 4 years old!!!!
We currently live here. I can only say positive things about this place. I was concerned when I saw that their prices are generally lower than other places in the area but it has not shown. The office staff is simply amazing. They know us by name and generally care about our happiness. Maintenance repairs are quick and they know what they are doing. We have an emotional support animal and some apartments can make the process for this harder than it needs to be. Sand Creek Woods were happy to accommodate and have done everything they can to make us feel welcome!

Nice apartments everything included and management is awesome, only bad part is they don't allow dogs, not even the little ones! Only cats are allowed, cats are disgusting and gross.

As for our pet policy, we are very up front during the tour process with all prospective residents, as to avoid any miscommunications prior to move in. We find that the majority of our residents enjoy not having to worry about hearing a barking dog in a neighboring apartment, or worse, stepping in a surprise outside! While our pet policy isn't for everyone, it definitely sets us apart and is a selling feature for many people. Thank you, again, for taking time to write a review, we do appreciate it.
I lived at Sand Creek Woods from August 2010 to June 2016. I look back on my time in the community, and could not have been happier with the decision to spend a large part of my life there. I lived in 4 different floor-plans during my time, and all were more than adequate and met with no problematic issues. The staff is wonderful. They are always friendly, accommodating, and fun. They went out of their way to make you feel welcome and taken care of. They weren't just the owners or the management, they were more like friends. Maintenance always had an obvious presence (tending to the pool, picking up debris around the community, etc), and were on-call with quick solution if you had a specific issue inside of your unit. The property is well-maintained, properly lit, and features many helpful amenities (tennis court, optional carports and garages, pool, hot tub, workout center, indoor bball court, computer lounge). It was also an added bonus that every unit comes with a washer and dryer. On top of this, the community includes water, trash, & sewage expense in your rent. Which only left me with an electric bill (Duke) and tv & internet bill (ATT). Convenient, stream-lined, and easy living. The location is top-notch for the northside of Indianapolis. You are in the heart of Fishers, minutes away from the interstate, and close to many landmarks (Hamilton Town Center, Klipsch Music Center, Geist Reservoir, soon to be Ikea and Top Flite Golf). The rates that Sand Creek Woods offers are reasonable, and the best around. For the total package, you will not find anything else in the same ballpark. I gladly sacrificed over-priced heavy rent at other local apartment communities; for the fairness, comfort, and flexibility at Sand Creek Woods. During the end of my time in Sand Creek Woods, they were updating units around the community with new light fixtures, door knobs, appliances, countertops, flooring, cabinets, etc. They certainly re-invest your rent into community maintenance and upgrades. If I ever face another rental need in the future, I would certainly return to the community no-questions-asked. I have nothing but positive thoughts and memories about Sand Creek Woods. Everyone should certainly give them a call or a visit if you are in the rental market for the northside Indianapolis area. Andrea, Alaina, Craig, and Brady will be ready to assist and welcome you.
Please avoid this community. The Management is really bad. They would be good to you till you say you want to vacate it. After that immediately their behavior changes. Please read the Leasing terms and conditions carefully. I was in a situation where i wanted to vacate in 9 months but i was made to stay for 12 months ( the full lease term).If you want to vacate before that you will have the pay the remaining months rent. Make sure that you are present for both move-in and move-out condition inspection. Otherwise once you vacate, you would get a huge bill for all the minor things are damages. There is no play area for kids also. I would never recommend this community to even my enemy.
Very nice location and apartments have very large master bedroom, for the cost. Washer and dryer in every unit which is great. Few maintenance issues unresolved still waiting. Very quiet no noise since tenanst next door moved 4 years ago!

I've lived here over a year now, and I'm very happy with Sand Creek Woods. The apartments themselves are pretty spacious for us (boyfriend and myself) and they are cat friendly! The appliances are a little dated, but are very reliable! Never had a problem with the fridge, stove, dishwasher, etc. The best part about Sand Creek is the staff. They are always kind and ready to help. They are quick to send out email notifications and phone calls when something comes up. The mantience staff is great too! They are always available and respond to issues very quickly. I would say the only negative thing is the parking lot. I would get a carport if you decided to live here because finding a decent spot can be a nightmare.

As a single Dad w a teenage son, apt living w/ all the amenities was an easy choice to make. Aftr looking around the area, Sand Creek was by far the best quality and price! The staff is what really seperated Sand Creek from the others. If my son locked himself out of the apt, if something needed fixed, if I needed help with anything that came up, they always took the time to listen and do whatever they could.. above and beyond what was required! I had to relocate and miss Sand Creek very much. Hugs were given out when I left, if that tells you what wonderful people they are!!
