A seaside city along the Pacific, Huntington Beach is known for its miles of white-sand beaches and fabulous California climate. Property Ratings at Sandpiper Apartments
The new management is a joke. When I lived here the water and electricity would be shut off without notice. “Controlled access” except the gates are always broken and random homeless people would be wandering around at night. Small laundry rooms that are expensive to use, You get a heated pool maybe 3 months out of the year. The rent goes up and up but they do nothing to upgrade the property. Hope you like fleas and termites because this place has plenty. Do not live here!
They sent me an eviction without verifying... Claimed I was harming dogs and waited 9 days to tell me there's a problem to stop! They have on site management daily til 6pm. Flat out lies about what I said on video.
This place is really clean, bug free and beautiful grounds!!! I cannot say enough about the staff and all the ways they have helped me and my family anytime we have questions or concerns, they are address immediately, with respect and kindness. Very safe, no riff raff, or comings and going late at night, very peaceful. Been here over a year!!!
Management is awesome and I am not just saying that. I have lived at other apartments where they just want my money and that is it. At sandpiper the Managers here really genuinely care. These apartments are very quite and clean. If there is any type of issue the maintenance team is on it. This place is kid friendly too a lot of kids at the apartment that get along well it seems like. These apartments are also pet friendly and the owners are responsible. Great community, close to the beach, affordable price, no crime, great management, threes a pool, and great people. I would highly recommend to anyone considering a great place to live.
I've live here with my boyfriend and my son for almost a year, and we absolutely LOVE IT!! Kimberly and Melissa are great with any needs we might have or any type of concerns. It is quiet, especially at night. I won't move until we buy our own place. I cannot say enough about this place.
This is 100% a reflection of Kimberly who works at The Sandpiper complex. Let me explain, unfortunately due to her horrible lack of manners & professionalism I was unable to get so much as a tour of the apartments. She stood me up TWICE!. I made an appointment on a Monday for the upcoming Wednesday afternoon at 4:45 with Melissa. She said she or Kim would show me the grounds of the apartment that my boyfriend and I wanted to rent out. I get there on time for my apointment that Wednesday and call the leasing office where Kim answered and said she had to step out and go to the bank and that she'd be back in 10 mins. No problem, I told her we would wait outside the leasing office sign as the complex is all fenced in. (In other words, the leasing office is inside the facility and the only way in is if you live there and have a key or the leasing office opens the locked door and let's you in). Well after 20 mins I call her back and she doesn't answer, at this point I gave her the benefit of the doubt and waited 10 more minutes. After 30 mins of waiting outside I call her again and she send me straight to voicemail. I try again and the phone is off now. Not only did we just drive from Downey to Huntington Beach during rush hour but we got left hanging not ever seeing the complex. At this point we leave to go home. At 5:47 Kim calls me back only to snap at me and say she's inside the leasing office and still waiting for us. I laughed and said, "No!!! We left you never came to the main front door to let us in. And I called you multiple times but you didn't answer." and proceeded to argue with me saying she was there all along and it's not her fault she was late to the appointment as I didn't schedule the tour with her. She specifically said," when I make an appointment I make sure to be here as I know who is coming and what time." Ok, gave her the benefit of the doubt AGAIN although she was rude, snappy and rushed me off the phone. I asked her if I could still come by. She said yes, I re-scheduled for that Friday at 1:30. (I made sure I talked to Kim too! I didn't want any more excuses) So guess what happens!? show up on Friday, the main fenced door was left wide open, i walked right up to the leasing office only to find a "Back at 2:00pm" sign. I called and no one answered. I left a not so nice message stating that Kim has once again left me hanging and it wasted my time. This kind of behavior and actions are unnecessary and unprofessional.
I lived at the Sandpiper for just one year but would've stayed if I had not been relocated for work. In the year that I lived here, I did not have any issues with noisy neighbors, crime or bad conditions. The apartment complex is well kept and all the neighbors are friendly. The office staff is helpful and typically always around. If something needs to be taken care of, they make sure it's done quickly. The great news is that they do not charge additional pet rent and the apartment complex is very pet friendly. If you're looking for a pleasant place to live, then I highly suggest giving the Sandpiper a look.
I moved to The Sandpiper Apartments a little over two months ago. All my neighbors, and their dogs are so nice! The grounds are clean and well maintained. Neighbors are considerate of one another. The complex is quiet. the management team is friendly and, really seems to have created a lovely home for all of the residents. Te Sandpiper has given me a beautiful, peaceful place to call home.

There is nothing too special about the Sandpiper Apartments, but for what the rent is, it is perfectly adequate. Grounds are kept very well, and having a swimming pool and hot tub is definitely a plus.
