Property Ratings at Santa Fe Village
Nighttime lighting and other preventative security measures are non-existent in several areas. Car and mail thefts have now become the norm...Unfortunately there has been no word or action from management to remedy it. There are supposedly security cameras, at the main entrance, but not sure if they even work? Response times for emails to management varies from minutes/hours (if it involves money) to no response at all... even after following up. Office hours are only during the weekdays from 8-5, so it's impossible to speak in person unless you take off of work. Driveways, stairs, and sidewalks are either not cleared at all, or are minimally shoveled when it snows or there is ice. Myself and other tenants have fallen. Some apartments have pest problems - fortunately ours does not. We have a sealed door, while others have a large outwardly visible gap under their front door. The maintenance team does a good enough job when they're called on - we've gotten a few things replaced/fixed in our apartment, and it's always been done correctly. However, there is no communication as to if or when they'll arrive. When one of our appliances broke, we had no idea if they even got our request...a few weeks later they simply showed up and replaced it when we weren't home. I suspect that every building has mold and foundation issues... squishy floors, cracks in walls, sliding doors that are separating from the building, uneven pavement, drains not flowing away from the building. It's not the worst place to live, but it's definitely frustrating.
Filthy, smelly building interiors. When I would take a hot shower, the condensation would drip down the bathroom walls and become the color of rust from years of grime. Thin walls, unlit walkways and common areas- very sketchy overall. Management could not have cared less about their paying tenants. Even if it’s within your price range, AVOID. There are better options.
There have been several car break ins in the area. Management is aware but has yet to do anything about this issue.
This may not be true for every unit or resident but I was lied to by the staff on more than one occasion so just read the fine print before signing. They had an impeccable response time for things that went wrong but everything went wrong. the shower straight up sucks no way around it. there were legit 4 different occasions of no water and I have only lives here for about 3 months. Your electric bill will be very very expressive if you use AC. I mean very expensive. But it is safe, the people are really nice and it's in a decent location close to a trail and a shopping center. But with utilities this place is not as cheap as you think it is.
As soon as I stepped foot on this place, I knew it was magical. The staff are friendly helpful. They quickly respond to requests of yours and to tell you when you received a package! The complex is quiet and cozy and neighbors are friendly. I have loved living here since I moved in!
2 years of living Very nice community based apartments!!!!
I have lived here a long time now. I use to live in a 2 bedroom but after considering moving I ended up transferring to a 1 bedroom. This place is like a hidden gem, reasonable, quiet, safe, and plenty of space. They keep up the property well and the office staff has always been good to me.
This is my very first apartment to rent, i moved in here in 2015 and just renewed my lease for 2020. I so love the place and it has one of the best school district - Center School District few minutes away. Yes every apartment complex has it's own flaws just like us human beings it can't be perfect. But here in Santa Fe Village it's quiet, clean and the apartment are spacious. Maintenance orders are carried out promptly. The Staff are VERY VERY VERY NICE, FRIENDLY and RESPECTFUL starting from Cade who always welcome you with a smile when you visit the apartment office, Dave, Dow and Nestor and all maintenance crew. Santa Fe Village is Home. You should give it a trial and trust me you won't regret it.
Property Manager at Santa Fe Village, Responded To This Review
Thanks for the awesome review, Ngozi! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you. Cheers!
The staff is super friendly and nice, the response to maintenance calls is very quick. I have lived here for 4 years and have enjoyed it. The rates are affordable as well.
This is a wonderful apartment complex. Great management and nice apartments.
Currently I have been here at Santa Fe for about two weeks. I can definitely say that I made a good decision. The staff is always willing to help and are very friendly. In my experience it's not often where you can carry on a friendly conversation with a property manager and feel like they truly care. I enjoy the area, as I like the quiet and haven't had any trouble with noise regarding neighbors or any other outside influence.
Very nice apartments with easy highway access and a short drive to both Ward Parkway Mall (with a great movie theater, Target and Trader Joe's) and all the shops and restaurants in Waldo. Apartment was clean and very nice upon move in with no maintenance issues. I never have an issue getting parking close to my unit and the new tenant portal makes paying rent each month super easy. Staff is very friendly I have never had an issue getting in touch with someone at the front office when needed. I would recommend.
I remember these apartments from back when my sister lived here in the early 90’s, they were okay. I visited a friend that lives here now and was amazed on how much nicer they are now! Whoever is running them now is doing a great job and good work on the overhaul!
I love my home! Best apartments ever and very cute and spacious. I feel safe here. Staff is excellent, grounds are very clean and well maintained. Come check them out, you won't regret it!
Great place to live! I am into my second year residing here and have never encountered a bad experience. The office and grounds management are very friendly and exceptional when it comes to handling requests. I have never had a maintenance issue not get resolved in a timely manner. Great location and literally minutes from anywhere in the metro due to close proximity of major highways. I will continue to live here unless life changes lead me elsewhere!
Before we moved into Santa Fe Apartments we were renting a 3bd 1ba home and our expenses were more than we could handle. When our lease was up we were in a rush to move out and this was our one and only apartment we looked at and we are so glad we decided to sign a lease here! The apartments are larger than the other apartments we saw online and a lot less in price. The management is nice and knows us by name. I would recommend anyone on a budget that is looking to get their moneys worth to try this place out.
Well this is actually my frist time being out on my own and I don't think I could've picked a better place to live! My apartment manager, Sarah, is amazing! She's really sweet and the maintenance crew is also wonderful. No matter how big or small the issue is, they are already there and I don't have to wait forever. THey act immediately. The neighboors are friendly and the location is gorgeous. I love it here!
