Not luxury. There’s no handicap parking for each building. There’s not enough parking at all for all the residents. They tow your car with no warning. Horrible place to live
When we moved in we were told we would get a free months rent if we moved in before the end of the month. We signed our lease and moved in on the 22nd. A couple of months later, we went to ask them when we would see the free month. We showed the manager the floor plan where the agent wrote down the monthly price plus the free month offer. We were told that they gave us a discount on the first month, so they were unable to give us a free month. When we moved out, the agent told us they would let us out of the lease a month early since we had just signed a 3-month lease when we found a home to buy. I guess she never documented it, and she is no longer employed there to validate our story. We vacated and got charged for the 3rd month. It was a decent place. I am not sure about it being a luxury apartment. I am inexperienced at leasing apartments, but I would certainly look for more in writing next time.

This place is not luxury! It is not properly maintained. The common areas are disgusting never cleaned! The pool is filthy and the chairs are nearly all broken. They’ve added .10cent bolts to “fix” them but they are lopsided and fall back while you’re sitting in them. There is rarely soap or paper towels in the pool restrooms. The garbage cans are always overflowing. The grills are filthy and buttons are missing. If something breaks they don’t fix it due to “budget constraints “There is dog poop and bird poop everywhere. The entry gates are broken so anyone can walk in. Parking is a mess. People are allowed to park in fire lanes and handicapped spots and there are several abandoned cars in the parking spaces that should be towed. It’s amazing how much this has gone downhill in the last 2 years. Not to mention the cops are here multiple times per week.
I have lived here for 3 years and love it! The staff is very professional and caring! They always seem to be happy, smiling and really enjoying their jobs ... which really says a lot in this day an age! I have lived all over the valley and this by far has exceeded my expectations! I haven't come across anything that they couldn't or wouldn't take care of! Anyhow ... come take a look and judge for yourself! It's awesome!
Very resort like community, I love how coming home feels like your on a vacation. Great location close to everything. Granite counter tops and a gas stove is a definite plus!
Moving back into an apartment after 18 years has been a breeze! Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment includes everything we dreamed of......wonderful appliances, tons of storage, view of the mountains and just comfortable all the way around! The extra amenities included are definitely a plus....pool, common areas, business center, pet areas, a garage and grills! They really do think of everything! And lastly, I cannot forget the staff. Tonya & Jeff have been great and made our transition to moving to Arizona stress-free. They are never too busy to answer a question or an email.
Pillar at San Tan is a great place to live with a friendly and awesome staff. The community is conveniently located near shopping and great restaurants. It's a luxurious and gated community with 24 hour security. My one-bedroom apartment features a huge walk-in closet, roman style bathtub, huge balcony overlooking the pool and cabana area and a huge 12 foot granted island counter top which is great for entertaining!!! Pillar offers 16 different luxury communities throughout the Phoenix area and moving from one of their locations to another is as simple as pie! I totally enjoy living here and would recommend Pillar to anyone!!

The location of this apartment complex is absolutely perfect. Less than 2 minutes from the 202 loop and within 5 minutes from major grocery stores (Frys, Costco, WinCo, Walmart). Its also near the beautiful brand new SanTan Marketplace which is filled with restaurants, stores, etc. Not only does it have a great location, the rent is affordable, the staff is extremely pleasant and accomodating, and the apartment is beautiful. The carpet could be thicker but that's just my personal preference. Its not too loud and everyone I have met in the complex is nice. I couldn't be more happy here!
Well let me start by saying I OFFICIALLY CANT STAND apartment living!! We choose this complex because it was the only gated community and the only one who allowed a dish on the patio. It is the most expensive property in the area and the ONLY one who charges for covered parking. Let me just say parking in the complex is Horrible. I am better off parking at my parents 2 miles away and walking home. I have never heard of a complex charging for covered spaces. You atleast get one space free per unit. The roaches and spiders or disgusting. Spiders the size of my child hands. And the spider webs in the breeze ways are out of control. They don't keep up on them at all. And yet the pest control is out apparently weekly. People let there dogs poo anywhere they want and don't clean it up. The trash truck seems to come daily and NEVER after 6 am. I mean come on, there is a noise ordinance for the evening, how about the morning too. I have a young child who used to sleep in. Most of the office staff is wonderful, but if I would have known a few things I know now, we would have never moved in. It is highly disappointing. I do have to say, I am very impressed with the maintenance staff. They are on top of all work orders that we have put in. So that is a plus.
I live on the 3rd floor. I've lived here for 2 months and 1 week and I have a scorpion every 2 weeks in my apartment without fail. They have "sprayed" the inside of my apartment ever 2 weeks, the outside of my building every 2 weeks, and I spray the scorpion killer spray from the store around all my doors etc. Nothing seems to work. I've been told it's "normal" to have 1 to 2 a week! Everyone I talk to at work, etc who doesn't live in these apartments assures me this is NOT normal (I just moved here from another state). I'm not happy with how many I've had, but breaking my lease would cost me 4 months rent. Sure, they spray but they won't anything else about the problem. I also feel like a 12 foot granite counter is pretty useless (just becomes a holding place for all my junk). Parking is not an issue in the further back buildings (I'm in building 5). The pool is nice, but closed a lot because they "forget" to change the filter etc. In August. In Arizona. Its only open from 8 am to 10pm, and I'd really like to swim laps before work. Security will hover around you at night and kick you out right at 10pm. The location is nice, being close to the San Tan Village. Basically if you can handle a scorpion or two once every week to two weeks you'd love it here :).
The parking situation is unbelievable for Arizona. It is like living on the east coast. Sometimes I have to park outside the complex. Do not trust management. They never tell the truth about anything.
My fiancé and I looked at A LOT of places before choosing this place. I read the previous reviews, and while I did not live here while it was under prior management, I have zero complaints with the current management. The staff has gone out of their way to help and are always very nice. The property is kept clean and well maintained. I have no complaints on noise. I have not seen any kids running around and I have not heard them; even at the pool. Everyone that we have passed by has been very polite and extends a greeting. Parking is a slight issue, but not as terrible as some has made it seem, but then again I don't mind actually having to walk a little. I live in an apartment; I don't expect to have parking at my front door. However, if that is something you want, you can pay $50 a month to have your own personal garage right next to your apartment. I love the gas stove, dryer, and water heater. And I love that they don't nickel and dime you for everything like MANY (Mark Taylor) apartments do. I would (and have) highly recommend anyone to check this place out and compare it to all of the other apartments around. Oh, and the location is fantastic!!
Seems the only ratings here are people that didn't like it, but even though I didn't love when it was sold to Pillar, I haven't had much of a problem. The office staff are all nice, but they kind of all seem like its the first day on the job, so that can be frustrating. But they didn't have a close enough parking spot for me, so they gave me a close garage for the same price, which was super nice. Any maintenance that is needed happens within 24 hours, and I got free carpet cleaning for re-signing my lease. SUCH perfect location too. Would totally recommend this place to anyone.
Archstone had this apartment community looking good now, its worst. They try to charge you for everthing. Staff are terrible!!!!!
This place is terrible. I agree 100% with the run don't walk comment. Staff is horrible. I wish I would have gotten out of my lease when they offered me a chance with no penalty. The only thing this place has going for itself is the pool. But don't be fooled, here is a list of some of the problems I have had to deal with: Scorpions, (chandler regional wanted $83,000 for the anti venom shot) ouch! Have to shake my lights to get them to turn on. Called it in twice and still haven't fixed it. Super noisy, live above the garage and your guaranteed not to get any sleep. Also, for some reason the neighborhood kids have turned this place into a skate park. The dog s... aroma is bound to make anyone feel nauseous. Good luck finding a parking spot at night! You think I am kidding, ask anyone walking around and they will tell you this place has huge parking problem. Save your money, look elsewhere.
