Nestled about nine miles southeast of Downtown Austin, the small community of Bluff Springs provides a convenient alternative to downtown living. Bluff Springs began as a farming community in the 1850s, and that spacious feeling persists to this day, even as more residents discover this tiny gem engulfed in lush greenery.
Located along Onion Creek, Bluff Springs is home to the Onion Creek Metropolitan Park, a 555-acre regional park that offers plenty of scenic hiking trails, as well as the Onion Creek Greenbelt, which also has hiking trails, picnic areas, and a playground. Onion Creek meanders up to the sprawling McKinney Falls State Park, where visitors find waterfalls, hiking trails, campgrounds, and fishing areas in addition to the renowned Old Baldy, a cypress tree that’s more than 500 years old.
Southpark Meadows, the largest shopping plaza near Bluff Springs, is located along I-35. This plaza includes an array of national retailers and chain restaurants.

Property Ratings at Saratoga Ridge
I regret living here and have since found better properties for the same cost with superior amenities, staff, and apartment quality. Apartment Quality - Roaches in multiple buildings; also heard of raccoon issues. - Likely your unit was infested—roaches were probably vacuumed up right before you moved in. - Have personally seen some hideous units; conditions vary drastically. - Peeling bathtub and leaks; no compensation when repairs required vacating overnight. - Dated interiors; kitchen appliance remained broken for months. - AC problems left some residents without cooling for their entire lease. - Maintenance is essentially non-existent; requests often ignored or closed without action. Complex Quality - In a bad area; suspicious neighbors, frequent catcalling. - Pool closed most of the summer; complaints met with dismissive responses referencing lease terms. - "Fitness center" is outdated and machines often non-functional. - Renovations focus on the leasing office while ignoring resident areas that are in disrepair. Staff - Frequent threats over valet trash, parking, parcel pickup, and decorations. Forced to pay for valet trash despite inconsistent service. - Maintenance issues rarely addressed; no reliable contact for staff. Promises were made but never followed through. - Heard former positive reviews were incentivized with free food during one particular community event. - No sense of community; only one event during my lease. - High staff turnover; trusted maintenance worker was fired without explanation. -Another employee quit over ethical concerns—personally aware of sketchy office matters.
Do not move here !! The property is absolutely disgusting & not worth the money & all the extra fees ! There’s trash everywhere & the hallways are filled with stains & grime. Don’t let the pictures of the renovated units fool you! EVERYTHING IS RUSHED & poorly done! & the pest problem is out of control! I CAN NOT WAIT TO GET OUT OF THIS NASTY ROACH INFESTED APARTMENT COMPLEX!! The entire community could use a pressure wash & bleaching!
Great apartment complex. Never had any complaints about noise, trash, parking, etc. Staff and maintenance are quick to help and always friendly. The employees are always there for me with questions or fixes. The entire complex is fenced and secured and the pool is always clean and open. Location is also key - grocery store, gym, restaurants and I-35 are just around the corner, yet the location is still quiet and low key. I don't regret signing my lease again.
I lived here for 2 years from 2018-2020. It got worse the longer I stayed. Management is rude and disorganized. My A/C broke more than 4 times while I lived there. One of those times, it took over a month to get fixed. The parking is so narrow that I was usually unable to open my car door. Way overpriced especially considering it’s not near anything exciting and it’s not a walkable area. If you have the money to rent at these prices, you can get something way nicer and in a better part of the city. I pay less now where I’m at and I don’t have any of those issues here.
My wife and I lived at these apartments for only a year and the experience was very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend these apartments to anyone.
Leased here site unseen and it definitely exceeded my expectations. I looked at a lot of newer apartments, but this property just has an awesome charm to it and isn't just concrete and buildings. The pool is nice and always clean as is the gym. So far so good with my experience!
Great apartment complex. Never had any complaints about noise, trash, parking, etc. The staff and maintenance crews are quick to help you out and are always friendly. Whenever I had any questions or repairs, staff were always available to help out. The entire complex is gated and secured, and pool is always clean and open. The location has also been key - grocery stores, gyms, restaurants, and I-35 literally around the corner, yet the location is still quiet and low key. Had no regrets re-signing my lease.
I do not recommend living here! The complex itself is okay for what you pay. There's always something going wrong and they take weeks to fix it! The front office people are horrible! They do not care for their residents! They never answer the phones they just let it ring. They take their sweet time to submit your maintenance request but when it's time for rent they're on you like flies! Better places out there people; don't waste your money here!
This was my 1st apartment in Austins TX that I lived at and, It was eye opening. 1st the location is terrible to commute to work or come home. William cannon is a living nightmare. construction 24 hours a day, HEB that is not safe at the least , and a school that blocks a lot of the road. 2nd the staff is not helpful at all, I had a work order put in and I wanted a week before anymore called me back about it. 3rd The walls are so thin that I could hear me neighbors fight all the time in the morning. 4th the "dog park" is not a true dog park. what I mean is that you cant throw a ball with worrying about hitting a window or making too much noise. I believe that the " dog park " was originally just a garden but they switched it over to a "dog park". 5th The pool is is always being cleaned. so you can never go and enjoy the pool when you are off from work. 6th if you want to walk your dog DO NOT. They have wild raccoons and homeless people in the back of the complex. 7th The gym is Disgusting , unclean , none of the plugs work and to top it all off the weights are everywhere. In all I would never want to live in again. Please do not live here if you care about your safety. If I could I was give this place zero stars. I really cant see how anyone can give this place a 5 star.

We are sorry to hear about your unpleasant experiences. We strive to make sure all amenities and the community are looking best each day, including cleaning the pool, everyday! If you ever see something that we could have missed please contact the office to the have issues, if any, taken care of promptly! Thank you!
The location of this property is not even a 10 minute drive from downtown, it has all the things you would want in a apartment, pool, spa, 24 hour gym, media center, gates, etc. Also, for being so close to downtown you aren't paying an arm and leg to live here. Not sure of the other reviewers experiences, but mine has been pleasant the entire time and the staff are always friendly and willing to help!
Legend has it that the pool area was open, functional, and at least somewhat maintained at one point, and not merely a decoration to lure people into living here. What do the maintaince guys even do here exactly? I really have no clue. I cant wait to move. The godawful parking and hidden fees are a nice touch too. Hopefully some honest reviews will motivate managment to get their act together.
Moved in the beginning of this year and let me tell you...all the reviews you are reading are pretty much true. To speak to someone in the front office via telephone is unbelievable...you are better writing a letter and getting a response in that manner because the individuals in the office do not answer the phone. My apartment was not thoroughly cleaned after the tenant before me moved out. Carpets are not shampooed nor vacuumed for that matter and no deep cleaning done. Keep your lease with you at all times because the management team can not keep up with the incentives offered at time of moving in. Parking...you are better parking across the street because the spaces are small (unless you have a smart car) or pay for a covered parking. My mailbox key was never fixed and took three attempts to get it corrected. Maintenance "claims" to have fixed what needs to get done but nope, that is not the case. You have to put in numerous request to get something done in your apartment. The only reason I moved in was 1.) time constraint and 2.) close to my work. After my lease is done...good riddance.
Its a decent complex and upgrades were being made, but it all is just smoke. Horrible management and maintenance. They say new or renovated, but its all just rushed and cheap work being done. Moving in, all my cabinets LOOKED new but i couldn't even open them because the railings were all broken. The drawer itself was cracking already from being hammered or stapled together. This is me moving in. I put in work orders for the drawers, and other things and still has yet to be done. The same excuse is - oh we are ordering new ones and they are backed up. Same excuse, every single time.
Property Manager at Saratoga Ridge, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your review. All of our cabinets & drawers are custom built so unfortunately it does take a couple of weeks to replace them if they are broken or damaged. You also mentioned other things that still haven't been done. Can you please contact the management office so we can make sure any & all items are taken care of ASAP? Once again, thank you for your review & for being a valued resident at Saratoga Ridge.
We have been living in these apartments for about 3 months now. Beside the hidden cable cost and the fact that we moved under the impression we were getting newer appliances, we like living here. We weren't expecting the newest of the appliances, but at least a dishwasher that doesn't smell or overflow with water would have been nice. My biggest appreciation goes out to the maintenance crew for always attending to all of our requests as quick as possible. Especially when our ac goes out. Nobody likes a hot apartment in the Texas summer. This is will not be our forever home, so we're just waiting for move out.
I found this apt with reasonable rent and very nice sized. As soon as I moved in new management took over. I got wood floors, wood blinds and granite and stainless steel to come. Nice perks for low price. Only bad is parking. They are tight and few
They just took over management of our complex. Immediately they came in and started fixing what has been needed. New roofs, new blinds, new lighting, new fans. It is nice to have someone come in and make the necessary changes.
The current management is an upgrade as far as promptly performing maintenance on the apartment.
