Property Ratings at Sawmill Crossing
If I could give this place ZERO starts I would. Ive been here just barely 6 months and it has been a nightmare. Roaches, trash compactors are always full, trash everywhere, and it takes maintenance months to fix a request. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Management is a joke! RUN! RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Save yourself the headache!

We're sorry to hear your time with us has not been the positive experience we aim to provide. Our team strives to maintain our community and apartment homes and it's disappointing to know we've missed the mark during your time with us. Please visit the office at your convenience so we may address any maintenance requests and work toward improving your experience in our community. Thank you.
Management does not bother to answer or resolve your single query. Maintenance request takes at least months to get resolved. You have to make multiple online requests and calls to get your service request answered. Whenever you call they will tell you that as your request is not an emergency they will fix it when they get a chance which is often after 1 month. Apartment walls and ceiling are paper thin so if you get a noisy neighbor next door or above you, or apartment next to stairs then it will be extremely noisy and the whole apartment will shake like a drum.

Not only were there roaches appearing all the time, rust everywhere inside the unit, broken appliances abandoned inside the building and outside on the lawn, mountains of trash at the compactors and when the trash is gone, it is still so filthy you regret having to take the trash out, shopping carts abandoned, a pond filled with trash where you can see office chairs peeking out on the surface, no parking space if you get back after 8pm, street lights that don't work, a dog poop minefield in every patch of grass, building windows broken, walls have holes from slamming doors, unhelpful people at the leasing office that are never there and can't be bothered to answer the phone and forget to see your deposit back. I left the apartment in the same condition I found it, which were barely acceptable, and my deposit is apparently still on the mail

We appreciate your feedback and apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. We are actively addressing maintenance issues and working to improve cleanliness and security measures. Regarding your deposit, please reach out to our leasing office directly so we can assist you promptly. Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention.
Mostly my complaint is about the trash. You have to wade through trash bags and other loose trash just to get to the compactor. It has gotten so bad that all the mashed garbage paste on the sidewalk is slippery. No enforcement of the rules other than two emails threatening to charge fees. Pet waste is absolutely everywhere so don't walk in the grass. Packages will be left outside and stolen and when I asked the leasing office about it they just shrugged and said there's nothing that can be done. Rent increases about $150-$200 a month at renewal and nothing gets improved
Property Manager at Sawmill Crossing, Responded To This Review
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the trash situation, we have recently revamped our grounds policy and should see significant immediate improvement, with increased enforcement in the apartment complex. We understand your concerns about pet waste, package delivery, and the rent increases. We appreciate your feedback and will strive to address these issues to improve our services. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
TERRIBLE! Roaches, trash everywhere, terrible management !!! Please don’t do it!

Hi. We’re so sorry that your experience did not match your expectations. Please help us to improve by providing more information on your experience.
This place smells like weed 24/7, and I am allergic to weed. I have called many times to tell management that this is a violation of the lease as it puts me in danger and they are allowing people to smoke inside the building. They do not return my calls, but instead charge random fees and continue to raise rent.
As soon as I entered the leasing office I was greeted warmly by Felicia. She was amazing, she gave me all the information I needed and gave me a tour of one of the apartments. She was quick to answer any questions I had. The property is very clean, the people are nice, and they were able to get me moved in fast. I recommended this property to my friends.
First of all, I have a great pleasure working with the management of this apartment community. Every single one of the staff members is attentive and helpful to the max. Secondly the location is great. It's not only safe but also all major businesses are located within walking distance. The apartment is nice and well maintained. Dog friendly community, however I do wish that the dog owners were more responsible when it comes to cleaning up after their pets. Overall I am happy with my choice and would definitely recommend checking this place out!

This place is absolutely terrible! Charge extra for CAM fees, service Fees, and trash Fees. The leasing office never answers their phones or emails. Birds were in the walls, you can hear all your neighbors. No one cleans up after their dogs. This is not a pet friendly area complex. Packages are constantly getting lost. Appliances and cabinetry are all outdated. The water pipes are never cleaned, mold comes out of the facets. The metal is rusted. I have to change my air filter ever few months. Trash everywhere on the grounds. Maintenance guys are great but have so many things to fix, it takes a while for things to get completed. Place is a dump.

I applied got approved the same day. I was told I’ll will be given the info to pay for the deposit and never got a call because they changed the price for the apartment I got approved for and I called them to see if they could try and get the rate I was approved for at first and never got no answer. Nobody answers the phone either. I finally decided to go ahead and just take the amount the changed it to and they said they couldn’t give m the unit and didn’t give me no reason why they couldn’t give to me and offered to give me my deposit back and never sent it back. I’m glad I didn’t move there because they already unprofessional and give the run around and no type of communication.

This place has been terrible since the new management took over. They never respond to maintenance requests. I have birds in my walls that I complained about and they have yet to do anything about it. There is dog poop all over including on the side walks and sometimes in the buildings in the halls. They still don’t respond to clean those up. The walls are also very thin and you can hear everything from all neighbors- both sides, below and above you. The water here is nasty- I have to clean the pipes multiple times a week because they are so dirty. Oh and they told me my rent was going up $40 and I’d have to pay “community fee” that helps keep the common areas maintained- the pool, snow removal, landscaping. Ridiculous. Should all be a part of rent like any other place. They said that bill would run $35ish-50. So basically they raising rent for me of $75-100. Insane. You can’t have packages sent to the office anymore. I’ve had to use family addresses to get anything sent or the package would be lost. All these changes came from the new management and it’s a joke. I’m not spending $35-50 on “community fees” when they can’t even keep the dog poop situation under control and the elevator in the building is a joke- dirty, smells, often trash in it. Please save yourself and don’t rent here.

Please feel free to give us a call to schedule a time to talk about and assess the situation in more detail with a member of our management staff. We want to make sure the remainder of your stay with us is up to standard! Thank you! - Sawmill Crossing Management, (614) 766-1685
I would have recommended this apartment before but not after the new management take over. They dont consider attending any manintenance request. Pet waste all around the apartment even some in hallway and it will stay for months. Its not easy to find a parking these days. You need drives miles to find a parking lot. There was electric shock in the gas stove several times but they didnt bother to fix at all. Luckily, we were alive until we moved it. More importantly they will charged literally for all the maintenance works. So you need to be prepared for that.

Current resident here and I can tell you that the change in management to AMC LLC has made my living here very difficult. They are contemptuous, mean and have zero regard for current tenants lives. I wish we could go back to the previous management that was slightly incompetent but really nice to the current callous but still incompetent.

I can tell, the whole Sawmill Crossing crew are nice. The place is close to many store, just 1 minute to 10 min to get to store or restaurants. If we talk about MORGAN, she is so nice, cute, kind person, since I saw her I could tell she is, and i was right! I just move because my income don’t allow, the other way, i could live there for ever.

Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to leave us such postive and encouraging feedback. Have a wonderful week!
I've only been here for a few months now, but it's been a very pleasant experience. The staff is always very courteous and helpful, and the place is kept clean. The apartments themselves are nice and there have been no problems asking for maintenance to come by and check things out on occasion.

Hello! Thank you so much for your positive review of Sawmill Crossing. We are thrilled to hear you are so happy and comfortable in your home. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do!
Six years in, and I’m still loving Sawmill Crossing! The staff is uniformly helpful and considerate, repairs are always done on time, and the company keeps making upgrades to the buildings. Recently, they’ve begun upgrading the apartments, and replaced all the locks on the buildings, making them much more user-friendly and secure! You can’t beat the affordability and location of the complex, either! Everything else nearby is at least $200-$300 more for much less space!
(Current Resident) The staff at Sawmill Crossing (Admin and Facilities) always provide the highest level of Customer Service. Thanks team!

The people in the leasing office worked with me to make my move as painless as possible. They are extremely polite and receptive. Any time I have vocalized a service issue, it was fixed within a business day. No complaints, a very accommodating complex to live in.

Hello, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us some feedback. It is greatly appreciated! We are so happy to hear we were able to make your move so painless! Please let us know if there is anything else we can do.
We moved in just over one month ago and are loving it!! Megan returned our inquirery immediately, we were looking at the apartment the next day, and signing a lease two days later. Upon our tour the facility is/was well kept, clean, with available storage and/or garages. The move in offers were great and helped us in the budgeting process. We moved in on the date that our apartment had been promised with no difficulty. We have a disabled, legally blind daughter who we inquired about tha possability of having a Blind Pedestrian Street Sign put in, three days later (before we moved in), it was in place! That conformed commitment to the residents. Our apartment was presented in immaculate condition, fixtures were all clean and presented no problems. New Washer and Dryer were installed in the unit. Our storage area is almost as big as a bedroom, plenty of storage. Waiting on a garage to become available, but the staff is keeping us abreast of availability. The residents have all been friendly and helpful. Noise levels have not been any trouble. I would/am recommending this community to at least be looked at and considered before missing out. The secured entrances also add a sense of security for our daughter. Elevators and one floor units helps both our daughter's and my disabilities. Easy access to a variety of shopping, ating, and activities is a plus, as is easy access to 315 and I-270.

Though it's been less than a month, we love it and it already feels like home! ?? The quiet, tucked away location is directly accessible to major shopping but hidden just enough to feel like a residential neighborhood. The floor plans available, the spacious environment, and INCLUDED washer & dryer are a DEFINITE plus- the savings on laundromat visits and dealing with communal laundry rooms itself is worth giving this property a try! AND 24/7 maintenance!!

Hi, We are delighted to hear you are enjoying your time with us. Sounds like our prime location, spacious layouts and included washer/dryer really has really helped make you feel at home. It's important to us that you feel comfortable and happy here at Sawmill Crossing and it sounds like we've accomplished just that ?? . Please let us know if you ever need anything, we are a phone call away.
I moved in a month ago and love it. Sawmill Crossing is wonderful. The units are clean and great value for the space/price. The front office has been delightful and helpful with leasing, packages, and even when I run into them. My favorite thing about Sawmill Crossing is the location. Right at the intersection of Dublin Granville and Sawmill, I'm close to everything I need to live (Meijer, restaurants, highways, etc.), but it is QUIET. This is a wonderful complex and I'd highly recommend it.
For trying to find an apartment on short notice for my internship, I did good. My neighbors are fairly quiet. Most of the noise comes from the hall. I've had a few days so far of being able to hear the people above me letting their kids run around for two hours in the middle of the night. Overall I rarely hear anyone through the walls. Parking can be hard depending on the time and day of the week. Maintenance came within 24 hours of submitting a request online. Everyone in the office is friendly and willing to help. This is a great place for adjusting to living in a bigger city and an apartment situation. I've lived here a month so far (on a three month lease) and I've been loving it.
I have been at sawmill crossing for two months now. I really love it! It's quiet and cozy! The office staff are wonderful! Very helpful
Sawmill Crossing is in a great location, near everything that you can think of. Nice place to live.
To be perfectly honest, this apartment has provided nothing but positive things to both my roommate and I. Naturally I have lost many keys, and in a matter of 2 minutes on multiple occasions the office has made me a replacement on the spot. Not at any point have I had issues with any appliances or anyone in my complex. I would highly recommend making Sawmill Crossing the next start in building a glorious future!
I'm in a 3 month lease, which is extremely hard to find around the area, and the price was out of this world. Also, apartments are great. You can chose to have a room fully furnished for a reasonable price as well. Great Place to stay!
Called ahead for an appointment and was told to call back. I did and never got through. Came down and began my new home search and saw many friendly and helpful leasing consultants. This place, unfortunately, was not one of them. Upon entering, my fiance' and I were "greeted" by an uptight lady who didn't give us the time of day. "Come back tomorrow," she said. There was not even a hint of courtesy in her voice. She didn't bother to give an information packet (every other location we visited did this). If you want people to take your place seriously, I'd advise you treat potential new tenants with a little more respect. At least give them a second of your "precious" time.
I LOVE the office staff!!! They were great from day one when we went to check out the apartments. They took care of our issues for move in immediately. They are "Always" around when you need them. Not like some places I have lived at where office people are never at the office. I highly recommend Sawmill Crossing. We love the area and our apartment.
If you are looking for a nice place to live, but not willing to pay a arm and leg to live in a nice city? I have been living at Sawmill Crossing for almost 5 years and the only complaint I have is that I don't have enough time in the day to go shopping! You are surrounded by stores and restaurants (which are mostly in walking distance.) You are also just a hop skip and jump away from 270. New landscaping/parking area & Exercising room all put in within the last year and a POOL! We couldn't be happier living here!
I have lived at Sawmill Crossing for 4 years and it has been awesome! It is a great area to live in with everything you need around you. The maintenance staff is always there when you need them and usually fix issues in less than 24 hours. Emily and Randi in the leasing office are great and super nice and easy to work with! I absolutely love it here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, affordable place to live!
The apartments are very nice and the community is clean. Dublin City Schools is a great school district for kids. The office staff is also very friendly to the kids and everyone else who comes in. They welcome everyone each time they come in the office, they listen to you if you have problems and they try to fix the problems right away.
I have no complaints for Sawmill Crossing's apartments. The rooms were well priced for the amount of square feet that you get. I had no problems with neighbors and most of their dogs were tolerable. The staff at the main office were very attentive to any needs or questions that I had. Would highly recommend Sawmill Crossings to anyone looking for well priced apartments in a good location.
I've lived here for almost 2 years and have been very happy with my experience. Being close to 270, 315, and 33 makes it so easy to be just about anywhere in the city pretty quickly - and you're close to so much on Sawmill. The leasing office team has also been wonderful anytime I've needed them. The only thing I miss is having my own patio or outside space here. But, I would absolutely recommend living here.
I moved in last January and really love my spacious apartment and the location of the property. The leasing manager Emily is very sweet and helpful. Maintenance requests are addressed quickly and typically on the same day. I have seen a lot of improvements over the last 9 months and I will be renewing my lease for another year. Thank you Helen
For the most part, this place is NOT that bad. I would have ranked it 'Good' if not for NEVER enough parking. You have to park about 50 yards of your apartment, because they have put so many units together and not enough parking. I've spoke with management about it and they don't care. I even reported when I first started seeing people park in front and block garages. In the morning, I have actually seen a tenant not be able to get out, because someone parked their car blocking them into their garage. It is so horrible, their only response when asked about parking situation is that there is NOTHING they can do. So pathetic!
My apartment is awesome comes with off street parking, swimming pool exercise room along with a free membership to a premium gym.
I have to say that this complex is the best for someone who wants the perks of living in Dublin without the major process. Management is kind and very understanding.
It's a great apartment. It's near dublin, but rent is cheap and I still pay Columbus taxes with Dublin schools for the kids.
The apartment is on the periphery of Columbus, so it takes about 20 minutes to get anywhere noteworthy, but because of the distance the price is a bit lower. Interior of the actual units is pretty dated. Key pads on doors are old and worn. The new owners have been working on updating carpeting, parking lots, and recently painted the hallways. They've also been renovating some units. This is worth checking out if you're looking for something inexpensive, want to be in the Dublin school district, and don't mind driving for 20 minutes to get to work. Great for young couples with kids just starting out.
Champion Property Management is a great company with great employer incentives especially for Ohio State employees. The employees are very nice and helpful but air conditioning outage is not considered an emergency which is a real drawback. Parking is very limited especially on weekends. Management have done a lot of upgrades which has added to the property but asking over $800 for 670 sq ft is a bit much even in the Dublin area. It is fairly safe since the new managment took over as they tend to kick out troublesome tenants. The nearby restaurants and grocery stores are nice too, but other places are more competitive price wise, especially for the thin walls my apartment has.
I have been here for 2 years now and I love it! It is in a great area, shopping, restaurants and entertainment all within walking distance. Management is great also, they do a great job of making everyone happy. Sawmill crossing is great place to live!
