Three small, upper-middle-class neighborhoods, Middletown, Woodland Hills and Douglass Hills, and Anchorage, an upper-class community, make up the Outer East End of Louisville. Each community features a mixture of newer, more elaborate homes that mingle nicely with some of the historic architecture in the area. However, the homes in Anchorage remain the most elaborate in the area. Wide-open, undeveloped areas provide residents with beautiful scenic views, and nearby access to U.S. Route 60 and interstates 64 and 265 make the 18-mile commute into downtown Louisville simple.

Property Ratings at Sawyer East End
Plenty of places in the area that are nicer and at the same price point if not cheaper. Maintenance shows up a week after requests put in and will say they can come back with a part to fix the issue and never do. Dog parks are constantly covered in poop. Dog bags go weeks without being replaced. Heard from a previous employee that the management group refuses to put any money in the complex for upgrades and fix existing issues. Pool was opened for a couple weeks in the entire summer and the maintenance guy told me the issue was known about the previous year but still was not dealt with. The prices displayed on the internet are not close to what they charge. Lease has no buyout clause so if you need to move you will be stuck in your lease. Fees charged are ridiculous. I was even charged a "termination fee" upon leaving even though I stayed until my lease was expired. "Luxury" should not be used in the description of this place.
With my experience with the line year lived there they charge you more what you think, and when you try to move what they will take your Direct deposit, because they charge for stupid things please don’t move there they bad bad bad
Living on the first floor is impossible if you want peace and quiet. There's constant pounding, even in the middle of the night and early in the morning. Considering the rent and utilities paid, these apartments are not worth it.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. I renewed my lease with the new property management company who took over and my rent went up over $300+ and my utilities went from $87 to $361 per month. DO NOT MOVE HERE. I was duped into renewing my lease and now, I am told there is a no lease break clause. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

BEWARE!! As of July / 2022 a new company took over this property and it is painting it is really wright ugly colors red and black with brown, on top of that they are forcing out residents if they don't renew their contracts with a 40% increase on rent. Some residents have mentioned the new management is paying residents to write positive reviews. Don't trust good reviews this property is not the same anymore, high score reviews belong to the previous management company not the Connor Group if they were posted prior to July 12/2022!
Beware - the property was sold in July 2022 and the new company is terrible. Have lived here since it was built but will be moving. Don’t trust the high rating - this place used to be amazing but not anymore.
The front office is enough to not justify moving in here. Jennifer specifically is extremely catty. They also charge random fees and threaten you when they do not let you know about said fees.

This has been the best experience I have ever had living in an apartment. The staff is quick to respond, any maintenance problem we've had has been taken care of almost immediately, and we feel like we are truly a part of the community. The events are fun and it's great having muffin Monday every week. We have recommended this apartment community to many friends who are selling their homes or in the process of building and it has not disappointed them.
I was moving to Louisville from out of state and was calling for info since I wouldn’t have the opportunity to visit the apartments in person before move in. Called with a handful of questions of course, and the leasing agent was irritable when answering my questions and at one point asked if I was being serious about moving there. Ended up moving elsewhere, where staff was much more accommodating.
Beautiful apartments and nicely built. The leasing agent that I got was not that nice, he should work in a correctional facility that job will better fit him. I was told I was getting laminate flooring and almost the whole apt is carpet, I was never able to see the apt until move in day, every time I asked I was told it was still under construction, even though I could see it was not, the washer and drier were not in the apt, waiting on them for now. It is a really nice apt complex; I just have to guess I had bad luck with the person handling my process.
I called to ask a few questions and I was told they could not provide me with that information and hung up on me. If they can't even be transparent about basic information then I can't imagine why anyone would want to live here.
