If we used one word to describe Downtown Yonkers, it would be unexpected. Yes, this busy business district is as urban as one might expect considering its proximity to Manhattan, but it is also home to historic treasures, art galleries, a waterfront amphitheater, sculpture gardens, and beautiful parks. The train into Manhattan – a direct route with trains leaving every two hours – takes only about 30 minutes.
Downtown Yonkers is one of Westchester County’s most walkable neighborhoods, and residents enjoy walking along the riverfront and exploring the shops and restaurants this area is famous for. Untermyer Park, built in 1899, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful park includes gardens, a pergola, a waterfall, and a small amphitheater. Property Ratings at Sawyer Place
Apart from the long processing time it took for the leasing to get finished, I really like everything else! The place is clean and has everything you can need nearby. One of the best properties in Yonkers!
We still don't have a 24/7 concierge, which is one main reason I moved into Sawyer Place. The maintenance department is wonderful. The amenities room is not what it used to be. The ice machine is turned off.
The development is in a wonderful location, MetroNorth/Amtrak, the banks, DMV, the library, the post office, Shoprite, Family Dollar, the Hudson River, cafes, pharmacies. This is a modern hi-rise, modern appliances, hardwood floors, with a gym, lounges, courtyard, activities.
The apartment and views are beautiful. However the additional fees are ridiculous (hvac, heat, sewer, trash, service fee, water). Adding a pool to the property/amenities would be so amazing.

The building is well maintained. Staff are easily available and all of them are good people. My apartment is a sanctuary ! I love living here.

Its a nice clean modern building with nice modern floor to ceiling apartments with great views. Amenities are useful and alot of place in the neighborhood, like coffee shops and restaurants
Management and staff are fantastic. The building is kept clean. Unfortunately many of the residents are rowdy and inconsiderate without any consequences.
Honestly I have felt nothing but welcome here. Staff is kind and so are the people who live here. It's so close to the train and an ice cream shop nearby.
hallways could use cleaning more often and front gate is not monitored when desk man/woman is on break, otherwise amazing amenities! I feel right at home

I have 3 years living here my first year was amazing but the next 2 years I notice that everything is going worse and worse, one of the main thing I pick this building was the no smokers building but they do it in every single area including all amenities, there was a bathroom next to the laundry now is not working because nobody can handle the bad neighbors, so the high cost of living suppose to be in good condition when I try to play pool there’s no ball the arcade is not working, the barbecue is dirty nobody follow the rules anymore, I hope something change in the next days .

The concept is very nice to be in q luxury building but it’s lacking certain things to make it feel worth the money. No security or doorman, amenities are broken and bathrooms are locked around the floor due to people breaking in. Should feel more secure.

In the year 2020 to mid 2022 management addressed tenants needs promptly. The cleaning staff did a fairly good job of keeping the elevators, lounge and gym clean. For whatever reason (not given), No cleaning staff. Also concierge services is now reduced, for unsatisfactory reasons. Changes made before substitute replacements are in effect.

Aside from the need for better security, Sawyer Place is a cool place to live. I love the modern concepts, the appliances, the lounges, the lobbies, the gym, the theater, the social events. In the Spring, perhaps more flowers and plants in the bare spaces in the courtyard. Although it's located in the not-so-nice downtown area, the location is so convenient, the post office, the banks, the supermarket, the pharmacy, the restaurants, the DMV, the Metro-North/Amtrak station, the river, the concerts. I can't wait until Lionsgate starts to rev up! The parking garage situation can be a little chaotic at times, especially when you order your car, sometimes they don't know where your car is, but the valets do the best they can under somewhat trying circumstances. I know it's not within your purview, but the monthly fee is quite high. I know this is a no-can-do, but a ramp from the garage on the building A side, would be great.

My partner and I moved here for our first home and we love it here. The space and cleanliness provided are great! The service provided by the leasing office is very welcoming and nice. The gym is awesome and clean. We love the events that the staff come up with as well! Its been great honestly and we’re happy we chose Sawyers as our first home!

Building is very nicely maintained, no significant problems with the apt it self. Gym is very well equipped, and its a very inviting space to workout. Outside common space is very nice for having friends for grilling and socializing. Management is nice, and maintenance guys are fast in resolving any issues. Great experience, after being the resident for 3 months ..

Sawyer place is a nice place to live. The view is stunning and the environment is very nurturing. The staff is at your beck and call looking to please you with whatever help you may need which is a plus.

My experience at Sawyer Place has been outstanding. The leasing process was very easy and the staff are very professional and great at what they do. The building itself is awesome with access to lounges and the gym. The immediate area is nice right by the hudson river. The apartments are really nice, quiet and comfortable to be in as well.
I really love living here! Excellent apartment & amenities, beautiful view..staff is great & helpful! Glad to call Sawyer Place my home!
