Property Ratings at Scenic Ridge Apartments
I've been living in Madison for 8 years now and for the last 3 years I have been living at Scenic Ridge and it was the most pleasant experience I've ever had. Throughout my time here I have been only treated with kindness and respect. For instance, my dishwasher broke down and I contacted maintenance and they responded the same the same day. They told me that they will try their best to get me a new washer as quick as they could, yet I asked if there is anyway that they can get it to me quicker. Maintenance said they will do what they can and what do you know, 2 days later a brand new dishwasher was installed at my apartment with no charge! Another time I was contacted by management that my rent wasn't paid and I saw that I had a late fee. I realized that when I switched banks I forgot to change my autopay information for my rent payment. I contacted management and told them the story and they fully understood and waived the fee. The very next month the autopay feature didn't work and again they waived the fee. All of my fellow tenants in this apartment complex have been wonderful and we all have had a great time here. Additionally, when compared to apartments in the area you get the most out of your money as management, apartment quality, amenities, and location are all high quality, well maintained, and spectacular. Whenever my co-workers at work are looking for a place to stay I immediately mention Scenic Ridge and I will continue to do so. If you are looking for a wonderful place where you will be respected and heard this is the place for you!
I have lived at Scenic Ridge for over 5 years and I've had nothing but a great experience. The front office has treated me with nothing but respect and has been very understanding with any situations that I had during my time there. The maintenance team is quick and responsive and truly care about fixing the problem. The property is located in a very nice location as it is near a lot of shops and restaurants nearby! The amenities are good and well maintained and I especially enjoy the pool during the hot summer days! Overall, if you are looking for a place where the apartments are high quality, spacious, and well maintained then this is the place for you!!!
I had a horrendous experience as a potential tenant just this morning. I am from out of state and wanted to look at apartments, as I will be working in the Verona area starting this summer. Three days ago, I emailed the leasing office to request for more information and I had a pretty nice exchange. I was told by email "You are more than welcome to come for a visit when you are in the area" and that their office "is open daily from 10 am – 1 pm". Again, I am not even close to the Wisconsin area, so I have a very limited time to check out apartments before having to fly back. I had mentioned in the email exchange that I will be in the area on the 11th and the 13th (today) and I thought that the email was a good sign. Fast forward to today, I went to the address to view the apartment. When I arrived, no one was at the leasing office, so I decided to give the office a call. As soon as the phone was picked up, the person on the other side of the phone sounded agitated. I was told that I needed a 24 hour notice before a showing. I mentioned the email exchange and I was then asked how many bedroom(s) I wanted. I said that I wanted a studio or a one room apartment. She then told me snarkily that she just "got rid of" a one room apartment. What a way to phrase it. Shen then hastily said "sorry" and hung up, as if she couldn't wait to "get rid of" me. I guess she also "got rid of" a possible customer. While I admit fault and that it made sense to schedule for a showing before the actual showing, when the email said "You are more than welcome to come for a visit when you are in the area" and "Our office is open daily from 10 am – 1 pm", it was clearly an honest mistake. I was not even asked if I wanted to be added on a waitlist of some kind. Nothing. I intentionally planned for this and it was for naught. Not to mention having to wait in the Wisconsin cold for nearly half an hour. If this is how potential tenants are treated, I can't imagine how I will be treated after I sign a lease and handed over my money. Judging from this experience, the reviews of management's greed and doing anything to keep security deposits seems much closer to truth than fiction...
This place is very unprofessional. I need to have a lawyer get my security deposit back. Stay away.
I have stayed with Scenic Ridge since last spring, and have only positive things to say. The apartments are well-appointed and well-constructed, while at the same time offered at very reasonable rates for what they are. I work in Madison proper and was hesitant at first about the commute, but have grown to appreciate the fact that I have easy access to Madison without living in a loud, bustling area. Maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner, and the premises both inside and out are well-kempt. The entire staff is exceptionally pleasant and responsive. Residents are mostly young professionals, and living here is quiet but not desolate.
We have lived at Scenic Ridge Apartments for almost 1 year. We moved in when the building was brand new, so everything is in great shape. The apartment is also very quiet. Maintenance is quick to respond if something comes up. Management is on site, so they are readily accessible. The location is great, bicycle trail is very close, we love the small town, yet close to Madison, access to highway 151 is very quick. Plus if your apartment faces the west as ours does the sunsets are great!
