Green hills, cliffs overlooking the Hudson River, an elegant mix of historic and modern architecture, amazing parks and beaches, golf courses, and one of the most picture-perfect downtowns you'll ever discover. There's no other place quite like Croton-On-Hudson, which feels more like a resort town than a northern suburb of New York City, roughly 35 miles south.
The parks alone will make you glad you chose this charming village: Croton Landing Park, overlooking the bay and having spectacular mountain views; Senasqua Park, with its picnic areas, boat docs, walking path, and spectacular sunsets; and the crown jewel Croton Point Park, a 508-acre park on a peninsula featuring a campground, a playground, picnic areas, fishing areas, a boat launch, and the Croton Point Nature Center. It is also the location of one of the nation's best music festivals, the Clearwater Festival.
From swimming beaches to sailing, Croton-On-Hudson is a warm-weather paradise.

Property Ratings at Scenic Ridge at Amberlands
I moved into my apartment at Scenic Ridge at Amberlands 6 months ago under the Covid-19 situation and I honestly have no complaints! The transition to move-in was soo easy and the management is SUPER helpful with everything, very professional. The new maintenance staff consists of 3 people and there amazing at what they do, following all the protocols ! When I first moved into my apartment it was perfectly updated and super clean. All of my neighbors are nice people and not a bother at all. Overall this is a perfect environment to be around !!!
I don't understand what all these negative comments are about; We have lived here for about 3 yers now and we have yet to find something to complain about. There's not even noisy neighbors. Highly recommend this apartment complex
The few upsides to living here: laundry on site and it's 5 minutes to Croton Harmon train station. But that was not enough for what we had to endure in our time there. One of our neighbors had a penchant for drinking himself silly and blasting his music from Friday night to bedtime on Sunday evening. So loud that it might as well have been playing right in our living room. After a verbal attack on my husband after he kindly asked him to turn the music down, numerous complaints to management and a call to the State Troopers over a possible domestic disturbance while he had a female guest over, the suggestion that maybe we shouldn’t be living there was Management’s response -- despite a lengthy lease that we had signed and he was in clear violation of. We were told that because he’s lived there a long time and pays his rent in a timely manner, there’s nothing that they can do; he can listen to “whatever he wants, whenever he wants" and that they “can’t make a better person,” just call the police. We also dealt with noxious odors from the apartment below us. It smelled like sewage and only got worse in the summertime and every time, they would open their door to leave the apartment. We wouldn’t close our closet doors over fear of this smell embedding itself into our clothes (and it still did). Finally there is the Maintenance “team” which is just one guy with an assistant to take care of all of the buildings. We had a recurring problem with a hole forming in our bathroom ceiling and it took many months for maintenance to properly tend to it. On walk through day, they tried to get us to just leave the keys and they would go by the apartment later without us there, despite us having a scheduled time to go through things with them (and our right to do so as stated in the lease). Bottom line: Scenic Ridge at Amberlands and NIDA Associates only care about their bottom line and not the well-being of their tenants. There are better complexes to live in for far less money than what they are looking to charge their tenants.
If you move here make sure you're home all the time. I came home one day to see that one of the landscapers was coming out of my apartment. Money was missing and when i confronted management they did nothing. Be careful. They seem nice at first but will not hesitate to steal from you.
this apartment is quiet, clean and bright apartment is in a good place
The apartments are well maintained and have features like hardwood floors and a patio. There is also free parking. Management is good about fixing things. My only compliant would be that I have had noisy neighbors above me, but not management's fault. The apartments are quite, and I only ever hear the people who live above me. I think the rent is reasonable for this area.
Because my husband change the job, we moved from AZ to NY, my friend lived in Scenic Ridge and he said it was great, then I contacted the manage Laura. She was nice and helped us a lot, we chose the 1B1B studio, it was larger and greater than we imaged. Great place!
