Property Ratings at Seaport Village
I've been a resident at Seaport Village for 16 years and it's a friendly and family community, living among happy neighbors and my neighbors are RESPECTFUL. The staff at Seaport Village are friendly and caring. I have no problems living here .
Seaport Village offers great maintenance attention gardening and grounds are kept very clean. Clean laundry rooms available.
Overall Seaport is ok. Kitchen cabinets are dated and falling apart. Swimming pool is no good at all. Other tenants are allowed to have pits, cane corso, Rottweiler, husky, German shepherd but I was targeted for the pit bull I owned and had to get rid of my dog while many still owns and keeps their dog. How does that make sense?
I have been a resident here, at Seaport Village for 16 yrs. I am comfortable with living among here, with friendly and great neighbors. We are a fun and family community.
Reasonable cost for apartments. The service is good and they are quick about fixing issues with units.
Seaport Village is a nice community, staff are nice and respectful. Seaport Village is good when it comes to staff going around the community to help keep it clean, gardener's weekly and pest control services. However, it takes residence's to do their part as well to keep their Community safe, secure and clean.
This place is very unprofessional. I had an appointment at 10 am for a showing that I made last week. It turns out the leasing office is closed the day of my appointment, and the unit I was suppose to have a tour of is now unavailable. They kept telling me to call three different numbers, but they were all disconnected and not in use. However, they said I could schedule an appointment at 2pm even though their office is closed the whole day. Their managment is very questionable as I even dialed in as a resident; they still didn’t pick up. Do not plan on touring this place if you don’t want to waste your time.
I’ve live here for 5 years and the first 3 years were good because they came to spray every week now they are always short staffed with maintenance. Pool are never open. And management keep changing.
Roach infested. Mildew. Trash is always overflowing. Dog poop in grass doesn’t get cleaned up by owners. Residents are rude. Nowhere to park.
Do not move in. They have a VERY BAD ROACH problem and they do not do anything about it. They charge you for pest control but have yet to use any of the money to actually put to use towards pest. They are also too pricey when you can go somewhere and pay the same price they charge for a CLEANER apartment without roaches. I read the reviews before moving in and wish I would’ve listened. So I hope this helps someone out. Run and find something better!
My apt was full of bed bugs and the exterminator claimed they were fleas. The trash is always overflowing, The roaches coming from the trash does not allow you to open your windows. The manager never bothered to come and check the apartment. They only make the front office and surrounding areas look nice to include the pool area. All of the other pools are either green from lack of cleaning or closed. The parking is horrible and the constant people crossing back and forth due to all of the gate locks being broke or fixed with a zip tie. I lived there for over two years out of necessity. Worst experience of renting an apartment.
The location is great and the way they are set up is nice. Each little building has its own area; unfortunately, not all of them have a grass area for the pets. Tenants let their dogs poop everywhere. The grounds are very dirty and the parking is very limited. We did have a roach problem and they fixed it immediately. The buildings are quiet and the neighbors are friendly. The pictures posted on their website are much nicer than the buildings we live in. I probably will not renew my lease.
I am a single female and I have been living at seaport village for almost three years now. I go to the nail salon around the corner on my "me days." When I feel like walking; I walk to the LA Fitness which is a 3min drive at the most and a 15min walk. The complex is five minutes from the Lakewood center. There is also my fave restaurant Outback in that same area. They also have all of the major phone carriers in the area. A newly built Starbucks that is also 3mins away in the shopping area as the Walmart and LA Fitness. There's a WinCo on that same street as well. If you prefer Target over Walmart there is one in the area 5mins away. The maintenance guys are friendly and so are the office staff. Seaport village is the closest you can get to luxurious and affordable.
I live here currently, and have since 2014 and I am over 18 and I was not paid for this review. I am telling the truth, and these apartments are not accurately depicted in these pictures. There is black mold in my bathroom right now. There is dog poop all over the front side walks. They do not provide or allow air conditioning. Bed bugs, roaches, all over apartments when people move in and out that transfer to other units. They do not assist with repairs in a timely manner because it isn't considered an emergency. The pool is always dirty in the summer. Standing water pockets and mosquitos around the complex. Residents park in the fire lane in the alley because there is never any parking out front. People smoke and do other inappropriate adult acts in the laundry room and leave the mess there for others to deal with or clean up. Laundry room machines. There is one washer and one dryer per 3 buildings. Always broken and can't get them repaired for weeks at times. If I left anything out, sorry. I am trying to hard to save up to move out.
I like how these apartments have their own mini streets and all apartments are set up in mini groups of 8-10, so each group has its own gate and patio/bbq/pool area. They have security guards that patrol round clock and security cameras. A gym and laundry units. Walking distance to the dollar store, 3 gas stations and even a nail salon. Non violent environment, you see families and young people. Its one of the best places i ever rented at.
Seaport village is reliable, the noise can be a bit hectic and loud but overall their security staff is great. The apartments are clean, gated and great for having small children around. No outsiders can come in and out.
My husband and I moved to SeaPort Village in Fall of 2011. Before moving in we saw a couple of roaches scaling the bedroom wall and mentioned it to the office assistant whom was showing us the apartment, because this one was the one we had hoped for we asked if they could exterminate. When they had supposedly done so they told us to move in. The first week was a nightmare, roaches took over the kitchen and bathroom area and we asked to be exterminated again for the 2nd time in less than 1 month. They then told us we should get on the list to exterminate for a full 90 days, we were devastated! Tried cooking for holidays, roaches thought they were the guests. After 6mo.'s we finally became roach free! Then after about 1 year the counters started peeling because what they boasted to be marble counters turned out to be a sort of wall paper that only looked like marble that was applied like wall paper. It only went down hill from there. Bathroom walls and ceiling started mildewing and X19 wouldn't keep it away despite leaving bathroom window open 24/7. And to top that off we started seeing the sealing starting to crack and within three weeks a gigantic bubble formed and was reported to rental office. The day they came to analyze what was going on, the ceiling caved in and we had no use of our bathroom for nine days while they dried it out then sloppily patched it back up & painted over it. Had to call them back to remove paint splatters off bathroom mirrors, and light fixture/bulbs which took another 2 weeks. They eventually reimbursed us ($$) for the inconvenience. That we appreciated very much since we had to take daily showers over to our sons house who lived down the street. After 2 years had passed we thought things had gotten a lot better until we started smelling a stale damp smell in both bedrooms and upon investigating extensively, and having to go to a doctor for a cough that wouldn't go away we saw what looked like mildew on one end of our closet wall. Then noticed that it was also on the adjacent wall behind our storage bins and the window seal! Had to pull everything out of closet and check for damage. . .sure nuff many articles of clothing, coats, and shoes had been damaged by the mildew. This created a large cleaning bill because of the leather cleaning. Coats had to go back to cleaner 2 times before any relief and clothes and shoes had to be thrown out. My husband is on disability and I am disabled and we haven't been able to move yet.
Seaport Village has a beautiful landscape that is well maintained. The apartments are in reach of public transportation, major shopping attractions and restaurants like Lakewood Mall and Restaurant Row across from Lakewood Mall. The renters have access to the pools, onsite laundry, and a gym. For you drivers, the CA-91 is only but five minutes away, so commuting to work or school is easy! Each set of apartments share a courtyard and is well kept and maintained by the tenants. Grocery stores like Walmart, Target, Winco and more are all in reach. Everything you need is minutes away from your soon to be residence!
Seaport is a nice place to live. Generally quiet. Family setting.
