Forever waiting for y'all to get us a stairmaster in the gym. Otherwise it’s definitely nice living here. Docking one star because they raised our rent after a year and we live in a unit that hasn’t been renovated in years.

I am most disappointed that Bozzuto got rid of the permanent concierge staff; the temporary concierge staff are lazy and irresponsible. They don't log the packages in, therefore we don't received notifications from Luxer.
Still one of the best apartment buildings in DC! Great views, amenities, and walking distance to everything. The apartments are spacious and the staff are helpful.

I have lied here for 5 years and love Senate Square! The apartments are up to date, and the maintenance team is amazing/timely! The leasing office is so friendly and has always gone above and beyond when it comes to lease renewal time. The amenities are great, though the gym could use a little make and the elevators have a mind of their own. The pros outweigh the cons dramatically. I have had multiple friends move into the community and have loved it!

The building located in a very Nice and quiet neighborhood. It is close to metro(less than 5 minutes) and many bus lanes, and very walkable.

Overall my experience at Senate Square is 4 stars. A few appliances are consistently breaking/out of order, but they usually do a timely job in fixing or replacing them. The apartment has a spacious dog park on the roof. This is a very dog friendly apartment complex. It would be nice if both apartment buildings could have their own gym. Overall, the day concierge is nice and helpful, but the night concierge can be inconsistent at times. I would rate the leasing office a 8/10. I have had a few issues with conditions in my apartment that inconvenienced my family and I without resolution so I’m rating the apartment a 4. Free parking is usually easy to find in the neighborhood so you don’t have to pay for apartment parking. The neighborhood is great, and the apartment is close to Union Station and Noma Station (10 min).

Like any apartment building, there are pluses and minuses. But the building management has listened and improved against the minuses. All elevators are running on a regular basis. Issues with the unit are remedied quickly. After 5 years here, would definitely recommend.

Apartment itself is nice. Unfortunately, maintenance can be slow and ineffective. Smoke smells are frequent and the leasing office doesn't seem to be able to do anything about it.

Senate square is great! I’ve lived there for about 5 years across 3 units, so clearly I enjoy living there. The amenities, maintenance, and leasing office staff are great. While the rent has gone up a lot over the past two years, I’m planning on staying.

The experience at Senate Square overall has been very solid. The staff is attentive to maintenance needs, consistently brings outside vendors to table at the building who might be of help, and the building is very secure. The location is convenient for the Red line, and the surrounding areas continue to be built up providing more activities within walking distance. While my unit has not yet been renovated, I know they are working on updating units as tenants move out. They are also in the midst of repainting the hallways and fixing some of the carpets throughout the building.

Great so far, the hallways are always super clean. My only complaint is that the doors used in the construction of the inside of the apartments are pretty cheap.

I would give a 3.5 review. I love my unit. I think that the maintenance and other staff teams are great. I appreciate that the building is getting a much needed facelift. No ding for the inconveniences that that causes. My complaints are: the package room system is routinely down; we lived with limited elevators for 8-12 months; it seems like there is a lack of communication between the staff teams, which leads to confusion and longer times to resolved problems; while it's great to have amenities, they need significant updating. The pool chairs are sparse and very cheap. The remaining rooftop furniture is amazing. Not sure why that didn't carry into the pool. The gym feels like a dungeon to me. Overall, I still really like living here. It actually feels like a community and I love the different floorplans. The building feels warm and homey compared to many of the new, sterile buildings. I hope that Bozzuto doesn't lose this feel with all the renovations.

Matt and his crew have really made a difference here bringing Senate Square back to its prime. Fresh paint. carpet, gym upgrades, landscaping and all elevators working. A great location in an easily walkable neighborhood with ready availability to the streetcar, Metro and Amtrak. The Square is more than an apartment, it's a home.

Senate Square is in a great location. It is conveniently located next to Union Station with easy access to public transportation and close to Union Market, one of the fastest growing areas in DC.

This building is great … there are amazing upside to living here , we are steps away from union station making commuting a breeze , also there are many popular chain restaurants inside the station available to significantly late .. also the proximity to giant ,Whole Foods , Trader Joe’s, Harris teeter and Safeway make eating at home wonderful, and lastly the social scene available being on the H St corridor and waking distance to union market, there are always entertainment options. The concierge team is also amazing The only down side is that I haven’t lived here longer … this place is awesome

I Love it here everyone in the leasing office is so nice I never have a problem with anything and the maintenance team is also excellent. I would recommend living here to any and every one it’s a very nice place to stay and also nice and quiet neighborhood.

The lease renewal for 2024-2025 proposed an 8.3% increase. Senate Square has no value anymore; lease rates have exceeded market value. Restaurant offerings near apartments continue to decline.

Great experience m. Only complaint I have is the carpets. They need to be replaced as they are very dirty and old. Other than that, it has been a great experience.

Everyone are so nice, polite and friendly. Based on my experience of living fir the last almost 3 weeks in this building, I never heard any voice from my neighbors, even if lots of them have pets, especially dogs which barks naturally, I have never been bothered with any voice. I was struggling to carry a pack to the elevator one day, and one if the neighbors generously offered me to help which was a great gesture. Overall, I am very satisfied of living in Senate Square.

Spacious apartments with good amenities. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Super convenient access to Union Station, H St. neighborhood, and Union Market.

We have had a great experience living at Senate Square! The apartments are spacious apartments and well maintained. It is a great location and very quiet. We LOVE the roof!

The staff at the building are always friendly and kind and helpful and the building itself is always clean, smells good and the gym is big and has a lot of equipment.

The good: - Very clean common areas - large windows - responsive maintenance staff - Nice landscaping - large apartment that's pretty nice The bad: - marijuana smoke coming through the bathroom vent on an almost daily basis - broken elevators (though these seem to be finally fixed) - insane water bill ($160 for one person?!)

I really wish I liked living here more. The leasing office team is nice and the apartment is spacious and in a convenient location. However, things always seem to be broken and I pay a fortune. Feels like you’re nickel and dimed to death for a unit that’s always messed up.

Great location, love the apartment. Elevators are an issue but they have gotten better lately. Amenities and when they have special events I enjoy myself.

Myself and a number of other residents in the building feel as if the management team here at Senate Square does not care much at all about the issues raised by the residents. Instead of working towards addressing these major concerns, they send emails with the subject line "Happy National Kitten Day!" Actions like this feel as if they are trying to distract residents from their lack of response to the real problems brought forth by the residents of this community. Every single elevator in this building feels like a potential death trap. They shake and rattle, bounce up and down way more than they should when entered/exited, and make noises that a properly working elevator absolutely should not make. Management at Senate Square has not been making their residents feel safe for quite some time, and many members of the community here feel like it's well passed the time for Bozzuto's upper-level management to make some changes for the safety of their residents.

Management is in poor quality in my opinion. The water bill seems very unfair. Why should I pay extra when I’ve been careful with amount of water I use while others foolishly use insane amount of water? That seems ridiculous. It should be by unit, not the entire building. Management doesn’t seem to respond quickly to issues. The fees rate for certain things just seem crazy.

Great apartments, good rooftop views, very helpful leasing office. The hallways are not as nice as the apartment and there are some scuffs on the walls, and gym is stuffy, but has lots of machines Overall enjoyable so far
