Just north of one of the busiest sections of San Antonio lies an area unadulterated by the typical sights and sounds associated with the big city. The Redland area presents a subdued rural charm while allowing easy access to modern conveniences. In this popular suburb on the outskirts of town, you will find generously spaced houses without sacrificing the comfort that comes from a closely-knit neighborhood.
The neighborhood sits about 16 miles northeast of the city's center, so its conveniences are well within reach. Within Redland, however, there’s plenty to experience. Gold Canyon Park has plenty of trails to hike, and Northwoods Shopping Center will take care of your daily needs and then some.

Property Ratings at Sendero Ridge
Do not move here !!!! They try to make the apartment look nice on the outside but it is really cheap. Found out it used to be section A housing and there is nothing wrong with that but you can tell they did a paint job to try and cover all of the gross infestations and stuff they should have fixed. The counter tops in the kitchen are painted, over never seen that & with cheap paint that peels off and there is roach poop everywhere. You’ll find it in your dishes and every crack of your place, as soon as you turn on the lights you’ll see them roaming everywhere. The pest control comes and it does nothing because they don’t understand those roaches are already under the apartment and in the walls. LIKE I SAID INFESTED!!!! Save the close to $1500 your spending for a gross apartment for a new one that won’t scam you and won’t cause you trips to the doctor

Hi there - we regret to hear you were displeased with your recent experience at Sendero Ridge. Please feel free to get in touch if you'd like to discuss it with us directly so we can make it right.
DO NOT MOVE TO THIS DUMP!!! Roaches are everywhere. EVERYWHERE! No matter how much they spray. No matter how clean you keep your apartment, the roaches have taken over this complex. I have had conversations with several neighbors and the roach infestation is throughout the entire complex. I tried to get my own exterminator that I was willing to pay. But because it's an apartment complex, I was told they cannot come treat it. Sendero's management and Greystar don't care at all. They want the rent payment every month but don't care if their tenants are living with roaches. We pay an extra fee every month for pest control that isn't controlling them. I have never, ever looked forward to moving...until now. The end of my lease cannot come fast enough! Again, don't move here, don't stop by and tour. Go look at a nice apartment. The City of San Antonio needs to condemn this complex and tear it down.

I’ve lived here 10 years and I’ve seen different management come and go. But the new owners and staff are a joke. If you have children this isn’t for you! Children aren’t allowed to ride their bicycles, scooters and skateboards on the property. Vehicles are broken into daily, gates are always broken, rent is ridiculous for the age of the property.

I just moved in and signed for 15 months!! I thought it was going to be good for once here. My sisters stayed here 14 years ago and I figured within time things would change. The parking here is a freaking nightmare!!!!!!!!!! I live in the back and had to park by the gate and walk to my apartment every night. They have carports and garages and ill they had available was a carport 5 buildings from my location and a garage 8 buildings from my apartment. I took the carport and was told I have to stay there for the 15 months. They said even if one is available close to my apartment I’m not allowed to switch. I’m doing my best to get out of this lease and move somewhere I don’t have to walk a Mile to get home. Don’t move here unless you trying to get a workout every night!!!

I have lived at this property for the past 5 years. When we first moved in it was wonderful. Things have steadily gone down hill over the last 3 years. The front office staff is HORRIBLE! And there is tons of staff turnover. Its like pulling teeth to fet anything fixed the AC is constantly in need of repair. The ground is settleing so the doors atent staying shut. The walls all have cracks and not little cracks all the do is comi in and put a skim coat the repaint last for about a month before the cracks come back worse then what the were. The parking has always been horrible but now is even worse due to the restriping so prepare to have your car damaged. On the back of the property there are no lights so it is very dark. They totally have let all the landscaping go. Any tome ypu call the front office ypu have to callmultiple times Im talking upwatds of 6-7 before the answer. I have pictures of all I am talking about if only there was a way to attach them!
The units do not have their own water meters, so they charge a certain amount per bedroom. I have a one bedroom and pay 85 dollars/month for water! They blame it on more people working from home due to the pandemic. I see how empty the parking lot is during the week. Don't insult my intelligence.
I moved into Sendero Ridge February 2019 and am enjoying every minute of it. My apartment floor plan has the wrap around porch and makes a great place for my plants and outside sitting area. My neighbors are quite, cordial and friendly. The maintenance staff keep the grounds looking great, manicured and kept up. The few work orders I needed were completed in a quick and timely manner. Office staff are professional and helpful whenever I have questions, and the best part is that it’s just a serene, low key, hidden gem of an apartment community!!
This complex used to be so nice but within the last year it has just gone downhill, pool by the office is always dirty algae growing in the water/ dirt and debris always in the pool and also pool furniture scattered everywhere have complained numerous times and nothing ever gets done Jennifer just doesn’t care... also there are barbecue pits just tossed everywhere/trash by the leasing office it’s such an eye sore.. the list can just go on I really encourage people to take a close look when thinking about moving here will not be renewing my lease and am counting the days until I’m able to leave.
First and foremost, revolving door on staff, which I guess is the norm. Ceiling and walls are very thin and/or POORLY insulated so god help you if your upstairs neighbors have children that throw tantrums or dogs that like to play fetch inside. Maintenance calls scheduled days ahead of time don’t get done as promised, not on just one occasion but several. Tenants leave trash and garbage all over - no respect for their “home”. Location is good - fairly low traffic in an out of the way spot.
My wife and I have lived here since October 2018. When we first moved in, the management team was in a major transition. Apparently, the old team let many things fall through the cracks. The new folks seem to be pretty much on top of things. My experience is that Sendero Ridge to this point is a nice quiet place to live. Jennifer (Property Manager) and Amber (Leasing Consultant) in the office have been most helpful in answering all questions that we have. I have met many residents that are friendly and helpful. When we first moved into our apartment, it was clear that there were several discrepancies that the old management team had ignored. Juan and Jonathan of the maintenance team corrected these discrepancies in short order to our satisfaction. Additionally, they have provided us with much useful information about the area that has saved us a lot of time and trouble acclimating to the area. Jennifer, Amber, Juan, and Jonathan truly care about the residents. It shows. They are doing an amazing job.. Is it a perfect community in which to live? No. It is a community that has made major strides over the last three months, and continues to show daily improvement. One can not reasonably ask for more than that. We intend to reside here for a few years. Should conditions change, I will update this review as necessary.
I was so happy with the location when i first moved here then once i got my apartment there has been NOTHING but problems. The A/C never works, truck has been broken in to, rats everywhere, takes days to replace or fix anything. Refrigerator went out and had to throw everything away, took them over the weekend to replace it, didn't even help put with the cost of all the food i have thrown out. The "on-call " maintenance is never responsive, my neighbor got locked out of her apartment at 730pm, called until 1am no response or anything not even a call back ever from leaving over 5 messages, thank goodness i was awake and was able to take care of her, the office has an emergency line to reach and they didn't even follow up. The gates are always braking entering and exiting, one didn't open all the way and started closing on my truck as i was going through and it took out my side mirror, told the office and the response i got was "oh then ill keep it open" not even i'm sorry that happened, nor did they keep the gate open. Bottom line pick somewhere else. Its not worth the hassle.
I’m almost done with my lease and it’s ridiculous. I’ve lived in an apartment complex that was cheaper and in a worse part of town and they weren’t this bad. Everyone in the front office runs around but not knowing what they’re doing. If they messed up they’ll get snarky and rude with you and act like it didn’t happen. If something is broken in your apartment don’t expect it to ever get fixed. Maintenance comes in looks at it, tinkers with it and says it’s fixed just to say the work order is complete. We had our toilet overflow and they did nothing about it and now we’re making them replace the carpet and professional clean the floor because they decided to wait 4 days before they did anything. Also they decided to paint only the middle portion of the apartments blue and it looks awful. Mind you the apartments are supposed to look like rustic pueblo houses. Will not be renewing my lease. Please don’t waste your time because of the location and price. Not worth it. Oh don’t let me forget that Bexar County Towing will tow your car from your own apartment complex and the complex will not cover the fee even when you have your sticker and are parked in your spot.
I am on my third week now at Sendero Ridge and I have to say I am so glad to be home! I have already had several positive experiences with the office staff and maintenance. Everyone is very kind and professional. Everything is done exactly when expected and in a timely manner. The unit itself is so well kept, everything is up to date and functions properly. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. There are so many trees and lots of open space for the kiddos to play safely. I feel very safe and happy here :)

Thank you for your review. We strive to provide the highest quality living environment and customer service and we are glad to hear that has been your experience.
A year ago living in Sendero Rige and unfortunately there are serious problems with security in the parking area in general, our vehicle was the object of theft, broke the window glass and of course stole all the things that were in the interior of the vehicle, this situation is happening frequently and I no longer find a place to park the vehicle. The main gate is usually damaged which facilitates the entry of people outside the housing complex. The condominium does not take immediate actions or respond for damages caused by the criminal action.
I have lived at Sendero Ridge for one year and it has been an exceptionable experience. The grounds are well maintained and the neighbors are quiet and polite. Any problems in apartment are attended to in a reasonable amount of time and the staff are very pleasant. Complex manager Cynthia always has time to discuss any potential concerns. The location is fantastic being close to Hwy 281 and Loop 1604. I intend to renew my lease for another year.
I moved into Sendero Ridge in early 2014 and I love it. If you've ever lived in an apartment complex, you'll know that there are always issues that can get annoying, but I have found the staff (particularly the current management and staff members) to be extremely helpful and responsive - even if lower-priority maintenance issues get bumped in favor of more emergency level staff. They have recently doubled the size of their maintenance staff and things are SO great now. I honestly don't want to leave for a long time. The area is GREAT: the complex is secluded, gated, and there is no through traffic, even on the road outside the gate, as the road dead-ends into the complex. It's quiet and surrounded by beautiful woods, and I've seen tons of wildlife walking around just outside the complex - deer, rabbits, garden snakes, raccoons. The shopping nearby is awesome; there are 2 HEBs, a Whole Foods, a Trader Joe's, a Target, and a Walmart, all less than ten minutes away, giving us a lot more variety in grocery shopping than anywhere else I've lived in San Antonio. The schools that my kids go to are among the best in San Antonio. The apartments themselves are spacious, with high ceilings. The neighbors are nice and there are a lot of kids around. The pools are AWESOME. I plan to stay here for a good while longer - never thought I could be so comfortable in an apartment!
Well I really would like to win cause I really like the apartment I am at but sometimes it gets to be to much for the bills and not having to pay rent for a year would really help pay off some other bills and maybe be able to take a family trip.
I Love living here! One o the best school districts in all of San Antonio! I love the fact that their pet friendly, have 2 pool, volleyball area, grilling areas, and a bar area at the pools! Very secluded area and I love the fact that it's gated! People look out for one another! Some down falls, some bbq pits need to be fixed or replaced!
I love the area this place is in but I think they should work on updating the inside of these apartments. The outside is very nice and the amenities are awesome.
This place is decent but it's not that great for the price. There is a lot of things that need inprovment like having a more caring Front office and more parking. Coming home from work gets really frustrating when you have to park far from where you live especially with a infant.
First off, the location of these apartments is ideal. You are close to all kinds of shopping as well as 1604 and 281, so even though it's on the northside of town you aren't too far from things. I'm at the top of the property so I don't get highway noise but I think it could be a problem further down. The units themselves are not very new... I think the property was built in the early 2000s, BUT, because they are older the walls are thicker or something so I very rarely hear my neighbors. You can hear them in the hallway but I almost never hear anything from those I share a wall with. The apartment is big for its price and I love my bay window (even though I face west and it's hotter than hot in our Texas summers) and I get a lot of natural light. The property itself is relatively well kept, though it would be nice if the property management did more to keep breezeways cleaner. I don't mind them letting grass go brown in the summer because it cuts back on our water costs and also is drought-friendly. Parking can be hard in the evenings and I eventually caved and started paying for covered parking because it was such a pain to find parking on late nights. Also, maintenance is not always the best as far as getting things done quickly, BUT when it is an emergency they get it done as soon as possible. Okay, so the ladies who work the office are nice ladies but I've had trouble with getting them to follow through or call back on things for the last year, which can get VERY frustrating. A lot of miscommunication happens if you rely on any of them, so I learned that it is best to go directly to the property manager. She is hard to find in person but I have found her to be the easiest person to work with if I go through email. I'm hoping my second year here will be smoother than the first... I like my apartment so much I didn't want to leave even with the problems I did have with maintenance and the office staff. It's a pretty good deal for size and location!
I am a new tenant here and I absolutely love it, the staff is the most helpful and friendly I have meet to date. The complex is very pretty and well maintained. the area is great and has many things to do. the only thing I think should be worked on is the parking situation.
