Property Ratings at Sequoyah Village Apartments
I lived there for almost 5 years….. The neighbor across the hall got german cockroaches and when I told the office and maintenance I was told, “It’s not like they’re gonna crawl away with you.” In the lease it states that if a tenant gets an infestation that the are in charge of fixing it. NOOOPPPEEEEE they left that guy alone and let him move!!!! I literally had to move all my belongings into a storage unit and caulk my backdoor closed and taped the front door shut every day to avoid an infestation myself. THEN I got in trouble for killing the nasty things in my hallway and I got in trouble because I actually treated the place myself with something that would kill the nest because THEY NEVER EVEN BOTHERED CLEANING HIS APARTMENT!!!! I saw it when he moved too…. The walls were yellow with nicotine and floors were caked in nasty, black gunk and I could see the roaches that maintenance somehow “couldn’t see”. THIS IS HOW NASTY IT WAS… THEY LITERALLY CRACKED A WINDOW AND LEFT IT…. I’M TALKING THE WINDOWS WERE CRACKED OPEN FOR OVER A YEAR WHEN I MOVED!!!! And the office has conveniently been closed to EVERYONE since March of 2020….
Sequoyah Village Apartments have the most well-kept apartments I have ever rented. The office staff members are always clear about what is expected of renters and the high standards they hold their maintenance staff to. The rent has not gone up since I have lived here (2 years) and the maintenance staff are always quick to help me with anything (even hanging curtains) because they want to be sure all of their units are kept to the same high standard, so they do/fix everything the right way the first time. They come once a month and spray for pests (no extra cost) and they check the fire detectors monthly as well.
