My husband and I loved living here, and the only reason we’re leaving is because we bought a house! I would’ve loved to stay longer if we hadn’t! The leasing office is polite and professional and always easy to reach and communicate with. Our one bedroom apartment had more square footage than other apartments in this area that were two bedroom, and it was perfect for just us as a couple because we had plenty of room. Very clean unit, quiet neighbors, and we loved having the Amazon Hub for packages. Right next to Fry’s and a Walmart, and less than a mile from two different gyms if you’re looking for convenience of location. We had zero problems living here and I’d recommend to anyone!!!
I have rented at many different places in the east valley. Serena Shores is by FAR the worst place I've ever lived. I've been there less than one year and have already seen the rust under the paint. Unbelievably rude staff and creepy maintenance guys are just the tip of the iceberg. There is a bald guy in the front office that is creepy beyond words and very condescending, which is odd because he's old and bald yet still works a job that a teenager should be working. Shouldn't be much room for condescension, BUT it's there! As a single female, I have a creep radar and he set's it off every time I see him or have to deal with him! BEWARE. He is the main reason I will not be signing for a second year. He attempts to be intimidating I suspect because he get's no respect anywhere else in his life. The ground keeping is a joke, apartments are crap inside and they nickel and dime for every single little thing. SO MANY better properties in the area with respectable staff and better EVERYTHING for the same price. STAY AWAY!
I have lived here for a about 8mths now. I can absolutely say without hesitation this is the best place I've lived. I enjoy coming home and it's worth every penny. They constantly are having community gatherings for residents to take part in.. my favorite is the food trucks :) The office staff is friendly and very courteous. You can tell the team is led by a great Manager. Jason is considerate, professional, customer service is off the charts, always willing to help. I can't believe some of the reviews I see. I have worked in property management myself and I am sure all the negative reviews on here are because Jason is actually doing his job and they don't like the answer. If residents where to pay on time, be good neighbors and don't let your pets damage your apartment home then MAYBE you wouldn't have any issues with management.. just sayin!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maintenance is great, always there when you need them. They fix your request in a timely manner and always properly the first time. They enter my home with a smile on their face. Again which goes back to good management.
This community is poorly kept. The appliances are old, and don’t work. The office manager Jason is rude, ignorant, lacking customer service. Jason isn’t professional and a liar, he will add charges to your account without your knowalge. I wouldn’t move in here, even if they paid me to. Very poor customer service and a terrible expericne
I wish I had read the reviews on this site before agreeing to rent from Serena Shores. The lease has a clause that basically says that nothing else matters but the lease. So, all of the promises made by the ever so friendly staff prior to getting me to sign the lease have seemed to be forgotten about. To be clear, do not believe anything the staff says! These apartments are old! They are worn! The appliances are bottom of the line and may or may not work properly. It takes too many reminders to get things fixed. Although the staff is ever so friendly and will smile as they take each and every repair request, just don't think it'll get fixed. Don't let them tell you that you can't hear people above you, because you can. Make sure to get a top floor apartment, then you'll only have to listen to the air conditioner units running above you.
Fraud - deliberate deception to secure unfair or unlawful gain, or to deprive a victim of a legal right Showing prospective tenants a pristine model apartment, then sticking them in the less than desirable, worn out and in disrepair apartments is fraud. Every lease that was a product of the tenant being shown the model apartment should be considered invalid and Serena Shores should be made to pay treble damages.
Classic bait and switch. They will show you a model apartment in pristine condition. What you get can be less than desirable, of course, you won't be able to see yours until move in day, when it's too late to go find another apartment elsewhere. The apartments are old and the maintenance has been neglected. Even if you get "updates" in your apartment, it's just lipstick on a pig. Good luck getting anything fixed! Trust nothing the staff says, only what's written in the lease is valid, everything else is just empty promises.
The staff at the front office is unbelievably rude. During the few months I have live here, me and my roommates have submitted multiple maintenance requests which take several week to get done. The only time these requests get done is after multiple calls to the office. They done not keep track of your maintenance requests at all. For example, after submitting a maintenance request 4 days had passed with no one coming to do the work. After being told someone would com the next day to fix it I because frustrated. I call the office and left two messages where I asked to be called back and told when the maintenance would actually be getting done. After no return calls my roommate went to the office to state that our maintenance request has now become an emergency. The lady working at the front office replied with saying that the 4 day old maintenance request did not state it was an emergency. My roommate then brought up the fact that I had called and left two messages without reply. She then said that they don't return calls to the residents. She said if we were unhappy we could call and speak to the manager. What kind of customer service is that? There is clear lack of communication between the front office and the maintenance crew and unfortunately the residents suffer because of that.
This wonderful complex is right on the edge of the Val Vista lakes community. My front door faces a place to fish, boat, and relax. On my way to work, I am often greeted by ducks :) Prime shopping and restaurants are within walking distance, and US-60 access is a half mile away. I must move....I don't want to move, but work comes first. I hope the next tenants enjoy this place as much as I did. Thank you
I've never been in an apartment that cared so much about their residents. They often threw resident appreciation get togethers with food and drinks and they always gave back! They took very good care of every single one of their residents and was always very prompt on getting anything fixed if something went wrong. I would strongly recommend Serena Shores to anyone and everyone. The staff is amazing and so friendly and truly cares about everyone. Everything is well organized and this entire year I have not run into a single problem with them! They even sent out birthday cards to everyone the week of their birthdays. I have so much respect for Serena Shores. Let alone the gorgeous surrondings and landscaping is just breath taking!
I truly wished I had not chosen this property,I left a property due to the fact upstairs tenents don't have respect for downstairs neighbors. When I came her looking I pacificly told them what I was going through at my previous complex he told me he would try his best. Move day got moved in guess what upstairs a group of 5 young adults going to pilot or airline school there gone only half days and they walk so hard sometimes it sounds like there stomping from one end to the other end of apartment I've been to office several times but doesn't seem to help its like they don't like that I complained I'm in my sixty's and I signed a 12mos lease yes this is Misery's story stuck for another years lease
