Do not move here! The absolute worst complex i have ever lived in . I moved to texas 2 years ago and lived here and it has been horrible i cannot believe places like this actually exist. There was maggots in my kitchen i called the number nobody answered so i called customer service she said she would let them know , nobody ever came. The amount of bugs are ridiculous. Theres cops here every other week. They notify you an hour or couple minutes before shutting off the water due to “pipe issues” this happens 3-4 times a month . Last summer the electricity went out due to storm for 4 days they did not care . Tons of bugs and pest , the neighbors are so loud and stomp like hippos no ounce of curtesy this place is a joke
Long story short they are trying to keep the other half of my deposit even though I thoroughly cleaned the apartment they are charging me for leafs they blew in etc secondly they have rats roaches and safety is a hugeeee issue. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

I am very disappointed in Serena Woods and the staff in the leasing office. The staff at this location are VERY, VERY rude and they do not care. They treated my boyfriend poorly over the phone when he was talking about all of the issues with the apartment. It is very upsetting to see such unprofessional and aggressive staff running an establishment. The apartments are run down. There are holes in the walls and there are rats in the apartment, my boyfriend did complain about this and they still haven't done much about this issue we are on own. I have also had a raccoon try to get into the apartment via the pantry. You can hear the raccoons crawling in the walls. The roaches are also a very big problem. Roaches are everywhere in the apartment and from what I gather from all the other reviews, there's a clear infestation in all of the apartments and the staff isn't doing anything on a large scale to fix it. Spraying our apartments doesn't keep them away. We do not cook in the apartment because the roaches come out. We are very clean people, but being clean doesn't remedy a widespread issue with the apartments. My catalytic converter was stolen twice. My was car was also broken into recently. If you know what's good for you, please move somewhere else. Find a place where the staff isn't rude and actually cares about the tenants. We won't be renewing when our lease is up. Very trashy place.

This place used to be a good place to live but they switched Management now we have huge speed bumps every few feet that are uneven so they will ruin your car if it is a lower car even when driving slowly over them, but whats worse is they limit how many people can visit you a month..you can only have ten 1 day visitor passes a month and only one issued at a time or they will tow the persons vehicle, there is 0 visitor parking spots so you have to have a visitor pass for them to park. its like the new management is trying to get people to leave. read the reviews from other people and you can see a trend and all of them will say its the new management is the problem, besides them the apartments are good and the residents are quiet for the most part..its all their new policies they put in place that are just making things worse with every one of them, they even advertise a apartment gym that has been closed for years. i just dont get it

Imagine asking questions about your lease, and the property manager responds back with “Read your lease, im getting tired of this.” Isn’t it your job to handle any and all questions? So who was being disrespectful first? All I was trying to get was clarification and actual information on the laws the property manager is CITING. Aside from the nasty manager. There’s roaches everywhere (in your cabinets, the dishwasher, in the bathroom, in your bed, EVERYWHERE.). The remedy? Either weekly pest control spray that doesn’t work or you have to leave your apartment for three hours. Prior to leaving your apartment, you need to cover all furniture and wash your dishes afterwards. Work from home, and I won’t be reimbursed by Serena Woods for a loss of wages. They’re raccoons in the ceilings, they are constantly making noises, some nights you cannot sleep because of them. Issue wasn’t solved and they told us there wasn’t much that they can do. Had issues with a ceiling leak, took them months to finally remedy (the tub above was cracked causing the leak). Water was coming out of the bathroom light fixture and out of the vent. The ceiling came apart where the vent was, so the vent was actually hanging by a strand. All maintenance did was tape the vent back to the ceiling and spray paint over the tape. Didn’t check for mold due to constant water leaks, didn’t fully address the issue after the third time. From corporate to the property itself, you will find problems. Trash. Save your sanity and move somewhere where you don’t have deal with a nasty manager, roaches, raccoons, and more.

We have roaches and all kinds of pests. There are literally bags of trash laying in the parking lot at all times. The property is not a cheap at all. Complete scam... do not move here. Been here for 6 months and will absolutely be leaving in 6 more. God I regret coming here. Incredibly old/unsafe buildings as well and massive flooding to top it off.

These apartments are COCKROACH infested! They were living in the back/inside of the refrigerator when we moved in and would come in through the cracks under the baseboards. It took THREE separate visits for them to replace the refrigerator due to them infesting all the inside mechanical components. The management there never returns phone calls or addresses your needs. Nothing is done to standards. Moved out and was told “all good, it’s move in ready — you should be receiving a check in the mail for the deposit” only to receive a debt collection bill a month later for $515, for who knows what? DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS!!!!! Also FYI— it’s in an extreme flood zone, a lot of the first floors were completely flooded a few years ago. That’s why they’re “remodeled”.

This property has been infested with roaches since we moved in, raccoons trying to break there way through while trapped in a closet and now a mouse. This is the most ridiculous excuse for a building because these things are allowed in through huge gaps between the floor and wall. The gaps are all throughout the apartment and some are wide enough to stick your hand through. It’s horrible and there is no end. I’ve hired outside help, I’ve asked them for help and these things won’t leave. I clean and clean and clean and they still come back. Don’t live here.

At first it seemed just fine. We ended up with an older model. There are countless things that need to be replaced including drawers, door handles, and appliances. The dishwasher was replaced but not mounted correctly, and when it's full and open it literally falls forward. The door was not properly sealed when we moved in, so much of our heat was getting sucked outside. A couple months ago they "fixed" the floor in the utility closet as the water heater was falling through the floor. You could literally stand underneath the building and feel all of our air conditioning getting sucked out. They did not properly insulate the repair though and you can still feel cool air coming out from the bottom. We also had a leak in our water line that poured out all over the ground for 2 weeks before they came to fix it. This cost us immensely on our water and energy bill. In April there was a HORRIBLE flood. My fiance and I both lost our cars and were stranded for a week without work. FEMA did nothing to help us and neither did the apartments. The only thing they did was post pone late fees for a week. If you get a flash flood alert to your phone MOVE YOUR CAR UP TO THE OFFICE!!! Mine was under about 6 feet of water at its highest point. The building also seems to be settling. The bedroom door now sticks due to the shift and there is a crack under the carpet that is getting bigger. We don't have a large roach problem but I have seen other units that are HORRENDOUSLY disgusting. The quality of people that live here is significantly lacking in most buildings...so expect to move in after someone gross. After my fiance had a career change our finances were off schedule and we requested an extension. We were told by management that they would waive the late fees for us; they didn't. Overall, this place is pretty ratchet. I would recommend the buildings closer to the front as they are upgraded and have been remodeled. Also, they charge you on your rent for pest control but they never do it.

Don't move here.. regular rain floods this place so imagine the hurricane.. we were rescued by boats then told to have rent in by the 8th.. its a ghost town here.. cars that were underwater are everywhere and people are moving out after trying to see what memories they can save.

I am writing this to warn potential tenants at this property. Yes there are upgraded models with new appliances and cabinetry, and yes the example model is beautiful, but the problems here are very numerous. We had terrible flooding in April of 2016 and most of the residents lost their vehicles. They will not tell you about this when you visit. When we moved in, we made a list for things that needed to be fixed and they have yet to be addressed nearly a year later. Maintenance is never on time, available or useful. They are sloppy, don't speak any English, and never return to finish the job. We have lost hundreds of dollars on our energy bill due to cheap, cracked, single pane windows, old weather stripping, and a HOLE in the floor of our utility room that was "fixed" with a chunk of plywood. Any apartments located in the center of the buildings also have severe cockroach problems. One of our neighbors sees them walking in line where the wall meets the ceiling every morning when they wake up, and when you turn the lights on, they scatter. Some of the buildings are also settling, due to the soft ground. We have cracks in the floor under our carpet and the doors do not close straight as the entire building is shifted. They need to demolish many of these buildings and start over. There are also tenants that throw their trash over the railings from upper floors and leave it all over the ground for raccoons or your pet to find. I was out walking my dog and he nearly grabbed up a chicken bone! There is no telling when they will clean up around the dumpsters. It varies by week. Please do not make the mistake of moving here. I would leave no stars if I could.

Worst apartments I've ever seen in my life we move in there is no a/c . 24 hour emergency Maintenence is just a flat out lie our ac has been out for 2 days after numerous calls and we still can't get this so called Maintenence guy to come fix it. Not to mention of apartment has mold and cracks everywhere and is flea infested . DO NOT LIVE HERE

My husband and I have lived here for about a week and so far so good. Everyone is very friendly and our neighbors are always asking us how we are doing. We live in a 2 bed, 2 bath and it's more than enough space for our needs. For being an older complex, it still looks somewhat nice. They have updated the appliances in our kitchen that have been working great. They even gave me the ok to refinish the cupboards because I felt like they needed to be updated as well! Management has been easy going about almost everything, and so far, we have really enjoyed living here!
