In a water emergency the response was very prompt, even after hours.
There is no communication. Managers are careless. No help is ever provided. They are always out of the office. They never answer the phone. No ine took me on a tour or told me what amenities there were at the premises. In general I had a VERY BAD. Experience there. I lost my mattress, couches and have spent so much money cleaning my clothes and on cleaning supplies to get rid of the infestation. I have pictures and 2 different pest control services and they still do not want to compensate me for the loses. The apartment was inhabitable. I had to leave.
Serenity is a beautiful pet and child friendly community. It is well maintained and quiet with friendly residents and a great staff!
I am extremely happy living at Serenity for the last five years. Despite the initial rocky start of Greystar staff turn over, the present team under Caitlynne’s leadership including office and maintenance staff for the last three years has been stable , friendly , accommodating and exceptional ! The grounds and amenities are well maintained now and it is a safe and beautiful environment. Highly recommend !
Beware of this place. They ignore emergency maintenance requests of they don't think it is important and will not call you about it. The office will say things will be checked/fixed before you move in and that won't happen.

This is a beautiful setting location and the current staff are wonderful and very accommodating . The entire team lead by Caitlynne including Kevin, Jose , Crystal , Vanessa, Maria, are very accessible and work hard to make steady and great improvements this property ! Thank you !

Serenity is an oasis of peace and calm in Larkspur. The community is family and pet friendly. The grounds are immaculate. It is also close to shopping and major freeways.

I’ve enjoyed living here with the scenery, dog park, close to the Marina Plaza. Plus a washer and dryer in my apartment is a bonus.
The community is amazing. The management and maintenance of this property is at an almost Slum level right now. Garbage is overflowing. Rats have shown up. It's been over a month and they promise to fix whatever is broken on the property, it takes weeks to be fixed. Sadly such a gorgeous property has gone down severely since Greystar took over.
Front office seems disorganized. I’ve had an outstanding issue with my “electric “ bill ig $450. No one has a proper answer for me. It’s been almost a month. Now I have a bill, with no reason given.
Serenity at Larkspur is an exemplary community. From the staff, to the residents, this place is essentially as it is described...Serenity in Larkspur.
Local management works hard to keep our property updated and clean. Caitlynn and her team are the best since Graystar took over.
The grounds are beautiful. The location is superb, and the apartment is quiet and the kitchen is very serviceable. The rental price is fine and it's location for walking, restaurants and shopping are excellent.
Overall the the property is nice and management do the best they can to support the tenants.
Serenity at Larkspur is a lovely, welcoming and relaxed place to be. The amenities are incredible, as is the location and spaciousness of the apartments. I had to move under stressful circumstances and over a holiday, but the staff made it really convenient and as easeful as possible to become a resident. I continue to be surprised at how convenient and easy it is to live here with each day. If you are looking for housing in Marin, I definitely recommend Serenity!

The trash around the whole place! You see the same trash for weeks and unless it blows away or a resident picks it up it stays. It looks terrible and that is what new residents would see on a tour !

They straight lie to you to avoid problems. They don't answer your emails until you actually show up at the office. Are they even working there? They pick the email to answer. For example, when They ask you to extend your lease, all those paperwork that can give them trouble if they don't do it. They won't answer if you complain or ask something they don't wanna answer. The property has been very poorly managed. They used to mow a lawn very often. However, it looks abandoned now. I don't even know how long they haven't been mowing. Maintenance is good, and very responsive, unlike management people.

The staff has turned over numerous times in the 4 years I have lived here. Just when tenants get acquainted with staffing, hours of availability, and roles, they are changed. This just creates stress on the tenants which is not ideal.

Serenity at Larkspur is a terrific place to live. It is really convenient as it's right next to the Marin Mart (which has nice restaurants like Farmshop), an 8 minute walk to the Larkspur Ferry and right by 101. Also you are less than 5 minutes to the Bon Air outdoor mall (Mollie Stones there), SF Fitness and the Safeway, restaurants and many stores at the Town Center Corte Madera and the Village at Corte Madera. San Rafael is very close by as well. The units are modern as are the fixtures. The only thing I would note to prospects is that the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors but to be honest, my neighbors are very quiet and courteous. So I have never had any issues with this. As for the rental cost, its pricey but you have to weigh it with the convenience, nice units, it has a pool, work out room and plenty of places to walk around. Also it's set in a lovely area (has a pond, great area for dogs to play/walk around) as well as a toddler/kids jungle gym area. And the couple of times I have made maintenance requests, the repair team here are very professional, do the job quickly and correctly. A real plus at least in my limited exposure to them. I have lived here for 3 years and have found it a great place and would recommend it highly.

Rent prices are good for this area, but the interiors are old and maintenance of the complex in general is not great. The administrative staff is a joke - they send the same bulletin out again and again, often with mistakes, but dont seem to be addressing real concerns. I had my parking space changed 3 times without any notice to me. It took almost 2 months to get a working lock on my mailbox.

My family and I love living at Serenity at Larkspur. Ou apartment is clean, well lit, the kitchen is great and we have great views of Mt Tam. I look forward most evening to relaxing on our outdoor balcony and having 2 pools with 2 jacuzzis makes us feel like we are on vacation!

I have been living at Serenity at Larkspur since November 2020. During this time, the Serenity Team have gone out of their way to be helpful and responsive. Living at Serenity has been a wonderful experience.

My husband & I love living here at Serenity. We welcome the sunshine every day vs the fog of San Francisco. The neighborhood is welcoming and there is everything you might want nearby.

When we first toured we were excited by the pretty pond, trendy colored kitchens, and in unit washers and dryers. After living here for a year, I can confidently say I’d never want to live here again. The apartments are not well built at all, especially for the price. The flooring in my unit isn’t secured to the ground, the walls are warped, and the balcony railing is rusted and not completely secured. Whenever we’ve put in maintenance requests they either never get back to us and then randomly show up or don’t show up for appointments. When we first moved in and told them our blinds didn’t work the guy that came to look at them told us that we could easily go to Home Depot to get the piece and fix them. We also now have three holes in the wall where maintenance tried to repair a door latch by screwing it into the wall after the stickers they used ripped off the paint. The communication with the office team has been terrible. The office teams has changed completely at least 3 times since I moved in. There have been multiple times where I went to use the water to wash dishes or shower to find it turned off, and when I called the office they said that they sent out multiple emails to let us know about building maintenance. When I confirmed with my partner that neither of us received emails, we were told that they would “work on it”, but we still missed out on multiple important emails for our building. We were also told by the leasing agent that our garbage bill would be around $20 a month (or something similar). That might be true when they have all units filled, but our garbage charges were through the roof, so we and other tenants are sure they just divy up the charge between occupied units, which again, we were not told. There was a time when the mailboxes were rekeyed and I was expecting a very important document, and was given no direct answers on where I could pick it up, and after multiple frustrated voicemails and 3 post office visits later still never heard back from them. We’ve also been unable to EVER use the pools or hot tubs because we never received the emails for access to the reservation portal. When we contacted them about it we were told they would look into it but have still never heard back. We’ve met nice people, made friends at the dog park, and loved the location, but if you are thinking of spending the insane rent that they’re charging now, take your hard earned money elsewhere and get yourself a slightly less updated apartment

Before you move it take a real look at the grounds and see if you feel that money is being spent to make this again a beautiful place. It looks like cutting corners is what is being done. Also look at the balconies... in the lease it states only garden items! Notice how many have not garden items ALL over the balcony. Office is aware and nothing is being done about it.

I would not live here again. The management is unresponsive. I gave them ample notice that I was moving out and (after many emails that were never responded to) they only provided me a outlined moveout procedure 2 days before I moved out. I only got a response because I went to the office in person and made it clear I was very unhappy. It has been 2 months since I moved out, and they have not returned my security deposit. In California, a Landlord has 21 days to return it. They have not been responding to my emails and when I called them, they say they have no information on me in my system. I have notified them that I will be bringing them to small claims court if they don't respond.

The Management is unresponsive, they have no customer service ethic and their service can be atrocious.

Dont move here or California. My rent is through the roof and is based on my salary per management. California is so restrictive that all of the amenities are useless here. So find somewhere cheaper to live since you cant taken advantage of what apartment complexes include.
