Picture this: you've just prepped your favorite meal and you're about to start cooking, when disaster strikes - you forgot one ingredient! Not just any ingredient, but the one that the dish simply can't do without (perhaps nachos without chips, or chicken wings without ranch). Now picture living in your 1, 2, or 3-bedroom apartment in Shadow Canyon, where you can head next door to Starter Bros. Market and return before the commercial break is over. And hey - if you get sidetracked on the way and end up across the street at Panera Bread because you didn't feel much like cooking anyways, we certainly won't judge. When it comes to your new neighborhood at Shadow Canyon, we've only just scratched the surface.

Property Ratings at Shadow Canyon
I lived there for 2 years from Sept 2016 to sept 2018 and it was an okay experience other they the major coach roaches that were infested and they not coming to spray and having to take care of it myself. Our shower faucet came off which i don't know how that is even possible and now we have a hit on our credit for 32 dollars that hasnt been paid because I never got notice or breakdown of why we owed that when I specifically gave a mailing address. I also contacted someone about this fee due to which at that time I also noticed they were emailing me but referring to my husband and some random guy that is on our account which we don't even know who this person is. So on top of not being notified there was an error who was on our apartments occupants. How do you accidentally put some random person on our account and then not refer to the people who were living there or on the lease supposedly. Which now who knows what this guy may know about us! Definitely wouldn't recommend!
This was my first experience renting an apartment and the staff was nothing but wonderful and helpful with everythinf I needed. Sara took care of my lease and explained everything very carefully and Liz was super fun to talk to. I had an issue with my dishwashing sink and no more than 10 minutes passed after I submitter a request on their website and the maintenance staff was there to fix the issue. The apartment was really spacious and really contemporary looking on the inside, the appliances are a bit outdated but hey, they were no charge for having them there so thats a plus. Neighbors were really nice and everyone was quiet, My apartment was right behing a playground and I could hardly hear the kids playing. Serously I have no complaints at all, I loved it there. Thank you Liz and Sara for taking such good care of me. Fran.
The location is by far the best part of living here. For a large apartment complex ir is pretty quiet. However, they like to make and change things as they go to benefit themselves. If you choose to live here try not to get a unit with new carpet, rhere will be a $25 monthly charge that never goes away.if you do not gage a refrigerator for$25 a month you can get one. But once again you will never stop paying for it. My apartment haf a serious ant any problem, it was never taken care of and just read your contract. .if If you pay your rent every month. But are not liked by then they will not renew your lease.and they like to bully tenants with the words lease, law, comply. Just know your rights and know what you are signing up for.
Property Manager at Shadow Canyon, Responded To This Review
Thanks for your comments! Just to clarify the new carpet premium policy was changed sometime back and no longer applies. So all rents are based on market rate. As to your comments about the refrigerators apparently you are not aware that we are in the process of furnishing all our kitchens with refrigerators. However until that project is compete there is a difference in the price of those units that have not been converted, because it would not be right to charge people for an amenity that they do not have. Since we provide pest control to all residents who report I do not understand why you had a problem, if you are still a resident please contact the office immediately so that we can take care of the problem. You are correct we do enforce our contracts because we expect our residents to respect their neighbors rights to peaceful enjoyment of their homes, we are very proud of our beautiful and peaceful community!
I've been here 2 years and I'm getting ready to renew my lease for another year. This complex is pretty quiet and other than a few minor issues (which management addressed), I've never had to deal with some of the problems that can come with apartment living. My neighbors pretty much keep to themselves. There are 2 pools, so you can almost always go for a swim without there being too big of a crowd. There's a small playground, and they do regular events for residents. I'm not a huge fan of shared laundry facilities, but they keep them pretty clean and the grounds are well maintained. The only real complaint I have is that I was told I had to pay a $700 deposit for a dog, but everywhere else, it's listed as only $500. Since looking into this, our schedules have changed, so a dog isn't an option right now anyway, but I feel like they were trying to squeeze me for a little extra money on that one. I'd recommend this complex to anyone from small families to retirees looking for a peaceful place to live.
