Property Ratings at Shadow Creek
This is a terrible place. I would not recommend ...not because of the location or the apartment itself but because of the staff. I lived here for a year. It was a very uncomfortably year. It was such a bad experience that it motivated me to buy a house so I would never have to deal with a landlord again. This woman Becky is a witch. I was never late on my rent, paid in full every month and left the place in A condition ( her words not mine) yet it's been 22 days and I can't get my deposit back. I visited the office twice since leaving, supplied my forwarding address and all information requested of me and was told I would receive my full refund via check in the mail yet nothing. These people are LIARS. I went through hell in this place in that one year. Everything was boxed and ready to go 6 months prior to the end of my lease. Wouldn't wish such experience on my worst enemy. This woman calls the cops for everything and will try to get you in trouble with the police. She herself will tell you that it is illegal to have a non running vehicle parked in the apartment complex yet her daughters car which has a blown engine ( not drivable / non-running) has been park in front of her unit for over 6 months. Renters beware:. if she does not like you there will be several unscheduled visits to your apartment. They will go through your personal stuff. I have had several items stolen from my apartment during this one year. There was no forced entry or signs of break in but stuff just went missing. I set up a video camera inside my apartment to figure out what was happening only to return home and find that the SD card was removed from the camera. Still no signs of a break-in and now no evidence. The gas in your gas vehicle will miraculously reduce to half overnight. On several occasions I would fill up my tank at the gas station and by the next day I had no gas in my car. Not sure how someone get gas from a gas tank but I now know that I was not crazy because a full gas tank now last me a week plus. I still do approximately the same number of miles per week to and from work like I did when I lived in this apartment. Im so happy that my lease has ended. My blood pressure went down drastically since moving in fact haven't had an increase in my blood pressure since my move. Infact it has been normal. Tricky Becky, I am happy in my new house I just need a full refund of my deposit ASAP.
Being a first time renter of an apartment, I was cautious when applying to this location. I did all my research and found out it was actually a good and safe place to live. However... after finally getting to see my apartment before a move in day was set, me and my father experienced first hand the unprofessionalism of the property manager ms Becky there. When we started asking questions about how they were gonna repair the leak under the vanity in the bathroom, which she had told us about when we arrived at the leasing office earlier, she immediately snapped at both me and my dad, and told us: “i told you we were gonna fix it”, and “you took too long looking around”. At that point me and my dad had enough and decided to leave. I was hopeful on renting there and becoming a tenant for ms becky, but after the way she treated us, there is no way that i will ever consider those apartments again. Like I said, nice apartments, horrible management. On a side note, the maintenance man Carlos was very nice and helpful in showing us the unit! Too bad ms Becky ruined a perfectly good opportunity.
Apparantly a 1 person office... can never get anyone on phone/return call.. and been to office different times during day every day with no one in office.. not good!!
