Located about five miles northeast of Youngstown, Hubbard is a close-knit suburb with a family-friendly atmosphere on the Ohio-Pennsylvania state border. Hubbard fosters a strong sense of community through a variety of special events, such as the annual Taste of Hubbard, Hubbard Fun Day, and St. Patrick’s Parish Festival.
Hubbard’s community also gathers in the quaint downtown area, where specialty shops, cozy eateries, and historic charm abound. Hubbard is convenient to numerous golf and country clubs, including Pine Lakes Golf Club, Deer Greek Golf Course, Youngstown Country Club, and Oak Tree Country Club. Excellent public schools serve the Hubbard community as well.
Hubbard prides itself on its small-town feel as well as its close proximity to larger cities like Cleveland and Pittsburgh, which are both about an hour’s drive away. Getting around from Hubbard is easy with quick access to I-80.

Property Ratings at Shadow Run
Convenient and affordable but there are roaches. The most powerful insect repellant did not get rid of them.
I have been living at this apartment complex in apartment 104 since October of 2014. I have been very satisfied with my living arrangements. The apartment complex is close to downtown Hubbard, and also only a 10 to 15 minute drive from YSU's campus. There are a number of amenities including a pool in the summer, the clubhouse and also package acceptance when you are not home. The neighborhood is safe, and the residents are friendly, but mostly keep to themselves. All in all, for a college student, it is a much better option than living on campus if you are from out of town and looking to save some money on the room and board costs. The only real downside is the apartments are a little small.
